Great customer service when there selling you a fireplace. no help or guidance once sold. In order to pass inspection the framing need to be moved out half inch on either side. No one told us this they just bolted it in and left. we were then told after the fact it's up to us to make sure it passes inspection, they said it clearly says this in the manual. So they installed knowing it wouldn't pass inspection. It's up to us to read the manual which is fair but we didn't get the manual until after they installed. Would not recommend!!

Buyer beware!! I had Mr. Fireplace come out to service my fireplace in Calgary. Within a few…read moreminutes of the service guy arriving he had shattered the front glass. Fortunately, the company had an extra glass available and after the fireplace was serviced a new glass was installed. The company then proceeded to charge me $280 for a what was supposed to be a $125 job. The service guy claimed this was the standard charge and I was not being charged for the glass. He was at my house for a total of 30 minutes. I called Mr Fireplace for an explanation. How could I be charged $280 for a job that was quoted $125 over the phone? The owner Brian called me back a couple of days later. He explained that I was indeed being charged to replace the glass (hence the extra charges) because I did not have proof that I had properly maintained the glass, therefore it was not the service guys fault. Unless you have proof that you have had your fireplace maintained annually don't hire this company as they will assume no liability. Misleading company! Stay Away.

My search for a new chimney sweep company had me marvelling at the consistently good recommendations I kept noticing for Crown. After using them, I can say that the hype is truly deserved. The communication from owner's Tina and Jerry is truly stellar from start, to finish. I was pleased with the appointment date and they were able to get us in even sooner with a cancellation. TJ and Jerry were professional, polite and cleaned up as they went. Jerry was inventive in how he solved an unexpected issue and I appreciated both the practical suggestions and the reasonable pricing. So happy to have found this company!
