Constructive criticism after witnessing my wheels being refitted, using a battery gun capable of1800 ft lbs to refit the wheel bolts and then torquing them up clearly exceeded the recommended torque setting required on the torque wrench around 88 ft lbs rendering the torque wrench useless ,though it looks professional in front of the customers. some basic training wouldn't go amiss. By far one of the best place to get value for money in terms of service and tyres quality. I have been using their services on Muller Road for years now. Reason for writing a review: went to "Formula 1" Days Road, as needed urgent tyre replacement on Sunday , they broke my tyre sensor and tucked inside the wheel with duct tape and did NOT even tell me. Went to Muller Road Able Fit to get puncture fixed same tyre and was shocked to know what Formula 1 had done. Gentleman at counter provided excellent service as always and lad who fixed puncture was spot on. Highly recommended !!! read more

It's so important to keep your motar running at a good standard, more than anything it keeps costs down! I was wondering why my car was eating up more fuel than normal so pumped up my tires, worked well for a few days then realised I had a slow puncture, got Ablefit to sort me out with a couple of new back tires and now my car feels like it is running so much smoother and has stopped guzzling up the gas so much! NEVER AGAIN Falsely told me I needed parts on my car. Damaged sensors causing my car to break down on the motorway. So say fixed the problem, but after review from an Independent garage the part isn't new, and they cut corners on fixing the sensor and other damaged caused by the breakdown. read more

Not very good customer service, i was sent away with a leaking tyre valve, and tyre flat next morning, from a new tyre that they fitted by them and told the valve had been changed and checked, also charged me for front and rear tracking when rear wasnt even touched. Manager at Brislington branch in need of customer service training ASAP, comes across as very threatening and rude. i will not be returning to Ablefit Brislington Bristol or Longwell green Bristol again read more

Had an exhaust fitted here on a Mini convertible, first of all they used the wrong exhaust (designed for standard mini) and had to bend it to fit, then trying to be helpful they put a fixing screw up through into the wiring loom which cost me over £100 to fix. I did not discover this until the Car went for a service/MOT at another garage. When I reported the problem I was met with a very unhelpful 'Manager' called Pete who response was 'exhaust is nowhere near wiring loom', I asked him to go and look at the car which was on a ramp at the MOT centre only 5 mins walk away, his response was 'bring it here or write to head office' He manner was rude and arrogant read more

I took my 2001-2 MG ZS into Ablefit Brislington Bristol to have the front disc's and pads replaced,a few days later I was getting a very loud squeal from what I thought was the new disc's etc,took the car back to be checked,front end ok!! Needed rear discs and pads replacing(cause of noise!!)all done in a record time,plus a seized plunger fixed,the whole job done for an excellent price well under £300,a lot cheaper than the big chain brake and tyre exhaust fitting garages,I can certainly recommend ABLEFIT.!!!!!! Unfortunately the good work these guys did on price for some high performance Avon's was undone by very poor balancing... my car was undriveable after 24hrs of fitting, the vibration coming through the steering was unbelievable. When the tyre pressure warning light came on I took the car to the nearest garage where it was explained that the wheels only had enough counter weight for a motorbike... not impressed. I could have taken Ablefit up on their free 'balancing check-up' but honestly I don't think I could trust them to do a good job... sorry guys but I won't be coming back. read more
