First, let me tell you that we appreciated your business and sorry that you feel the way you do about our agency and staff. We initially wrote your home on 11/21/14 and it cancelled. Your home was rewritten 01/21/2015 but was non-renewed because your home did not have recent updates completed. The notices sent by the insurance carrier and our agency required that a "Licensed and Professional Plumber complete the updates 100%. Nicholas completed the partial updates but necessary receipts were not provided by a licensed plumber validating 100% updates. We found a third carrier that offered similar coverage however, the payment terms were not the same (8 payments with larger downpayment) and you were not please with the offering. Coverage cancelled on 01/21/16 - notice was mailed on three occasions to your home. We received your call on 02/10 and advised that we would help to find a replacement carrier and I had one of our licensed homeowners insurance experts contact you only to be cursed and screamed at over the phone (this was heard by 7 employees in the personal lines department and verified to me). Our agent spent hours researching your coverage and finding carriers that would provide you with the best value - I asked her to stop what she was working on to dedicate her time to help you (I do not work with homeowners insurance everyday and rely on the trained / licensed experts we hire to work for our customers) - we have been dedicated to our customers for the past 28 years and provide professional respect to everyone we work with - As a customer, we will do anything we can for you but ask for a cordial conversation to conduct business. For this reason we advised you to seek the assistance of another insurance agency. Additionally, we received a call from Nicholas today asking why "we made you / your property a bad risk". We do not control rates or credit scoring models used by insurance carriers and therefore, are not the reason for the described risk assessment. We would never describe a customer as a "Bad Risk" and everyone is insurable within our agency. I am willing to provide you with the quotes that were presented to you by our Homeoweners expert but the payment terms will not be set up on 12 payments as you wish, again - this is not within our control but we can provide you with a solution. Response to Curtis Berry - regarding bad review. Mr. Berry, I have personally spoken with you several times since moving your coverage to us a few months ago. We assisted you with your underwriting issues and helped you file a claim. You spoke with our CSR Tracy Martin and she tried to help you by explaining that we are an independent Insurance Agency and we are not the insurance company nor are we the adjuster that was working your claim. We can help you connect with them but cannot tell you that an item is going to be paid for. When you advised our staff to SHUT UP! and hung up the phone, you were not able to hear the information we were providing to assist you. I received your call and made three attempts to reach you. We have on serveral occations received your complaints about unreturned phone calls however, I have personally witnessed our staff make numerous attempts to reach you - without success. I recognize that you may be busy but we have a 24hr return call policy and will make our best effort to return your call in 24 hours. Crystal Calaway with ABM has been an angel and family salvation on navigating the Healthcare Market Place. When ACA first started, we used so-called navigators. They helped picked out the plan which the nearest provider was 60 miles away. I could not find any providers who can see me in four-month period.
