The wedding video is wonderful! Amazingly Maria captured everything, every detail from beginning to end of my daughters garden wedding. I don't know how she seemed to be everywhere. She had such details from the purple candies, butterllies in the bushes, decorations, each small detail was filmedl. The music was perfect for each segment. We had 3 photographers and they didn't capture as much as Maria did. She began by knowing the family members and remembering to have them all in the video. Maria is extremely friendly, flexible, easy going and promptly responds to texts and emails! She is creative and open to constructive feedback. We used Maria's services for a video for my son's 3rd birthday party at a park. I loved how she included music that we chose in the videos. I love how she got so many details and decorations in the video and was so friendly at the party to all my guests. I love how kid friendly she was and how my son felt her warm personality and felt comfortable with her. I loved the green screen shots and the animated pictures of my son! We were impressed with the time frame in which we got the video and her flexibility in payments. What disappointed me, was when we discussed how much footage we were going to get for a really high price (the cost of some wedding videos), it didn't meet what we discussed. The party was from 10am to 2pm. For a 4 hour party she said it'd be 60-90 minutes. The video ended up being about 20 minutes. The video was beautiful and creative and special in every way, but the cost ($1200) for a 20 minute video seems over the top and excessive! The verbal expectations that were set in the beginning when we first met were different from the completed product. It was also frustrating she was an hour later than she said she'd be. Overall, I appreciate all the patience, hard work, professionalism and passion she has for videography. She loves what she does and it shows. Thank you Maria! This is my first review because this is something i feel strongly for and that is very important to me. :/ I feel broken hearted because my wedding video is still incomplete even though my wedding was april/2014. We waited patiently than months later found out that she still not done with it. It was OK, I was willing to wait for it because I wanted it to be amazing and I'm a very patient person, afterall I waited forever for my now husband to come around. She gave us a rough copy to give us an idea of what she had. There was a lot of uneeded noise and messy parts. It didn't transition smoothly has i hoped. Still we were patient. We ended up coming in to help her understand what we wanted a coup le times. She was going througha divorce so i wanted to give her all the time she needed. Than about a yr later she finally gives us one copy instead of the 4 we wanted because her brother died. I felt sorry for her. OK fine. We view it and there are parts where the music doesn't even match dancing scenes, there was rough transitions and there was a big repeat. Than the end wasn't even the end. I was so disappointed. We texted her and she never texted back so we waited because maybe she's still mourning over her brother. Than later we call her and leave a message, still no call back. It's been a year and a half now and my family asks me about my wedding video but I don't know what to tell them. I can't give them a copy of anything because I don't even have a complete one. :( read more

Let me tell you what Above and Beyond really means! I was presenting in front of 45+ business owners and I needed someone to capture this on video. While I was researching I knew I needed Quality & Outstanding Service. It was important to me that whoever I hired was responsive, easy to work with, listens to my needs, and has top of the line equipment to ensure quality. After reading all of Maria Coopers outstanding reviews and talking with her on the phone, I knew she was the right fit for me. Here comes the part where she went Above and Beyond... I was stuck in traffic traveling from the Sacramento area. When I say stuck I mean I didn't move for over an hour. I had planned for this presentation for over 3 months and my new service was being launched that day. I was supposed to meet Maria at the Crow Canyon Country Club at 9:30 AM and we had 2 hours to set up and test the presentation, audio, camera equipment etc... Traffic only got worse. I began to panic. I thought heck I better just call everyone and cancel it. First, I called Maria and explained the situation. We had a hard time finding a videographer to film our wedding ceremony the way we wanted: we didn't want an "art" film costing several thousand dollars. We wanted a documentary approach that simply filmed the ceremony from start to finish, so that family members unable to attend would feel, watching it, as if they'd been there. Maria Cooper (Above and Beyond Productions) took the job and did exactly what her business name promises: above and beyond anything we expected. We thought she would simply turn the camera on and off at the beginning and end of the ceremony. But she realized, a few minutes into the ceremony, that that wasn't going to give us a good end-product, and she ended up producing a much more in-depth product, using a combination of different angles, still photos (to cover the parts where she was moving the camera) and video to produce an end product that was not only LIKE what the actual guests saw, but BETTER than what the actual guests saw. For no extra charge, because it was simply what she felt was necessary to produce an end product she would be proud of, and we would like. In addition, she had the most amazing attitude of cooperation. With many of our vendors, we felt like "wedding #473" -- a profit center in a big business, rather than two unique people. But not with Maria. She was wonderful to work with, went above and beyond what she was required to do, and what we expected, was incredibly reasonable in price, flexible in schedule, and the end product is really, really, really amazing.
