Theres a lot of light coming to the studio through the windows and outside everything is green - felt great to wake up to that. And talking of sleeping, it's awesome to go to bed listening to the frogs and waking up listening to the birds. Sauna is amazing. Easy to use and powerful. There's also plenty of space between sauna and the studio, just grass and fruit-trees, which feels like your own piece of land. There's a fireplace on your patio and the shower never runs out of hot water. Location is also everything. It's close enough to the centre - a 10mins pleasant walk. But its secluded enough not to hear any cars or city noises and feel like you're somewhere in the countryside and on your own. You feel special, and spoiled with all that;) Thank you Salty Pear and Annika. We will definitely be back!

Shirley always makes great breakfasts (her eggs Benedict, sausage pie, pea meal bacon and ginger scones are my favorites) and the different rooms I've stayed in here have all been very comfortable. The king size room has a microwave, TV, mini fridge, huge soaker tub, sauna and is enormous. The rates are the best on the Island, ranging from $45 for a single to $95 for the king. there's a beautiful little pond and creek and a gorgeous gazebo and hot tub. It's near Vesuvius at the north of the Island. you gotta stay here- it's delightful and great value. And you'll love Shirley.

When I want to send my mind and memory to it's happy place, I send it on a vacation here: 2 beautiful rooms with private bathrooms and a fireplace with the most breathtaking views and spectacular sunsets; big yummy homemade breakfasts with our chatty and very friendly hosts; a hot tub for late night dips under the stars; and deer munching on the grounds made Salt Spring the best mini-vacay I've taken in ages! Whether you want to be left alone or entertained with a lifetime of stories from Bill and Edward, this has been the best bed and breakfast experience I've had to date!

The self contained unit provides the guests with utmost privacy and has a full kitchen, so if you stay long you can cook some of your meals here. The hosts were considerate to leave basic Kitchen supplies like tea/coffee, salt/sugar, cooking oil etc. They were thoughtful to have a basket in the bathroom full of basic toiletries one often forgets. I took a toothbrush from it! The best part is the breakfast, which is freshly made each morning. We got bowls of fresh fruits with delicious homemade granola along with a baked breakfast item: Scones/muffins/waffles each day. We could not decide on a favourite and felt so spoilt! They had a great selection of books and boardgames in the seating room. Wifi is a bit erratic but when you are on the island the point is to relax and get time off the grid! It is walking distance from eateries like babes in the woods, Galiano Island's independent book shop and the active pass where you can see harbour seals and otters passing. The couple running it are lovely and super helpful. We cannot wait to return.

Virginia is an awesome cook, and Andy is the consummate guide to all things local, from underwater critters, to birds, to kayaking. If you want a comfortable place to stay with hosts that will help you line up your kayaking or scuba diving, this is a great place. Thetis Island is just enough off the beaten path without being too remote. Highly recommend.
