I had a very positive experience with Abraham Orthodontics. I would like to start by saying that I didn't end up moving forward with my treatment due to medical reasons, but I believe that they deserve a 5 star review regardless. I set up my initial consultation with Jennifer. It was easy to make the appointment and they accommodated me to make it fit my schedule. When I went in, I sat down with Jennifer and she went over my paperwork with me and proceeded with taking x-rays and photos. All of which were included in my consultation, which was free by the way. She was very thorough, helpful and extremely pleasant to work with. After that, I saw Dr. Abraham. Super nice guy with a wonderful bedside manner. He looked at my photos, my x-rays and my medical history and then we discussed possible options. He was able to do a digital before and after treatment mock up for me which really helped me to visualize the expected outcome. After that, I sat down with Jennifer again, and we discussed the fee for my treatment and options for paying including very fair payment plans or a discount of several hundred dollars if paid in full. I believe for the monthly payments, they just took the cost of the treatment and divided it by X amount of months. No fees for paying monthly. They were not pushy whatsoever. My case is a little different because of my age and medical history. Dr. Abraham went above and beyond to research my case, and was not comfortable moving forward if I wasn't a good candidate . I believe he genuinely cared about what was in my best interest . Ultimately, I was not cleared by my doctor to start treatment, however if I was, I feel that I would be very satisfied and happy with the experience. Additionally, the office is very clean and bright and I've never had an issue with finding parking on 18th St. right by the office. read more

Dr. Abraham is very personable, each visit was great! He and his staff take the time to listen and are good communicators. I started with the metal braces, thinking I would be happy with that treatment. The metal braces didn't adhere to a capped tooth and were really inconvenient to clean. After two months of dealing with it, I switched to Invisalign. I am now done, and just have to wear the retainer. I never thought I would need braces, but my bite was off, probably had been for years, and I was having some chipping on my front teeth. I can now keep from worrying about teeth shifting as I've seen many other senior folks with that issue. I am so happy to be done, but a bit sad that I won't get to visit with these nice folks! read more

I went to Abraham Orthodontics in Santa Monica for a consultation about a *very minor* issue -- one upper tooth slightly out of alignment. Imagine my surprise when they quoted me **$5,500** for *only the top Invisalign aligner*! Their own website says pricing *up to $6,000* -- which any reasonable person would assume covers both top and bottom aligners. When I questioned the quote, I got a canned, corporate-sounding response about my case being "complex" and "tailored to my specific needs." Complex? For moving *one tooth*? And who else's needs would they be tailored to? I pointed this out in writing, asking for clarification, and got essentially the same form letter again. The implication seemed to be: "We don't have to justify our pricing." Transparency clearly isn't a strong suit here. To make things worse, they in essence blew me off and sent me a list of "recommended orthodontists" for treatment, since they weren't interested in someone who questioned their rip-off pricing. One was in Culver City (fine), but the other was in the **Rampart area** -- miles from Santa Monica and better known as the gritty setting of *Training Day*. Hardly the kind of thoughtful referral you'd expect from a high-end Santa Monica practice. In short, the experience felt dismissive, overpriced, and arrogant. If you value straightforward communication and fair pricing, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of orthodontists who can move *one tooth* without moving heaven and earth -- or your bank account. read more

I booked an appointment with this doctor mid-week (Wednesday 12/3) through ZocDoc for Monday, 12/8 at 12 pm, which was the slot that was showing as available. The office (the rep's name was Selena) called ~30 mins before the appointment to mention that they had a double booking for that time slot and asked to move the appointment to another day. I had already rearranged my meetings for the day, so it was understandable that this wasn't very pleasant. If I had gotten a call first thing in the morning, that would have been more understandable. Calling ~30 minutes before is not a favorable experience for the patient, nor is it respectful of other people's time. I raised this issue with ZocDoc as well to confirm the electronic footprint of this booking, as they are mentioning that I booked the appointment the day before at 1 am, which 100% is not the case, as I was sound asleep. When I called back to speak to the front desk and asked if they had a moment to review this, they mentioned, "Well, it depends; we have a lot of patients right now". The issue stemmed from ZocDoc, but what I would say was a ball drop on the office staff side was that they waited ~30 minutes before my scheduled appointment, right when I was about to drive out that way, to call me to reschedule, and made no attempts at honoring the appointment that was confirmed and booked. That is the level of customer service I was expecting, given the reviews and feedback, but how they delivered things today was a sign that this is not the place to receive services from. read more

First of all, Santa Monica can suck for parking but the office has two spots in back that are free which is super convenient. The office is absolutely immaculate and all of the furniture and equipment seems brand new. The staff in the office is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating with scheduling. The first visit they go over pricing and options for you in detail should you choose to proceed with them working in your mouth which is nice because you see all the numbers laid out in front of you. Dr. Abraham is a pleasure to be working with throughout this Invisalign journey. He is very kind and calm. I had to get a crown on one of my teeth in the middle of my journey and they quickly rescanned me for new trays and I was able to pick them up within two weeks. I honestly dreaded getting Invisalign because I was told I would have to have them for 10-12 months. I only have a few months left and it has honestly flown by. I obsessively look at my teeth and they have changed so much. I didn't realize how bucked my teeth looked until I saw a picture of them.
