To make matters worse the lawyer he brought along to verify the documents simply asked for my signature and closed the deal. Unfortunately, this is my first real estate purchase and I was not familiar with the documents. Needless to say, I should have reviewed the documents, but I did not expect to be misled. Instead of making my first home purchase experience pleasant, he misled me and has made this process a nightmare. The house he helped sell , which the realtor claimed was fit to live in, had be reconstructed without any permits or proper inspection. It has been two months and I am still not able to move in and am paying rent until it is safe to live and on top of that a hefty mortgage. The worse part about this situation is that the lawyer who helped the realtor close the deal has washed his hands clean from any of the issues associated with the house.
