The first time was for a bat inside our pool enclosure, which Andrew caught and relocated. He also sealed all potential entries to prevent bats or other critters from getting into our attic. The second time was for field rats, again, inside our pool enclosure. Since our home backs up to preserves, it is not uncommon for critters to want to invite themselves in. Austin set traps and Andrew sealed potential entry points to the pool enclosure and again up on the roof (a new roof from the previous one he had previously sealed) to prevent entry into the attic. For now, we are free of uninvited guests, thanks to Austin and Andrew. They were great to work with and we will use their service again in the future, if needed.

Our dog has even chased it a few times late at night. It was our tree and hedge guy that found a burrow underneath our A/C unit. Of all the places why ours??? I did a little research and found CritterPro. They have good reviews so I sent them a message on their website and they called me within 15 minutes. I spoke to Edward and described the problem. He gave me a reasonable estimate and we set up a time for him to come up and set a trap. On the day, he called me about and hour early asking if he could swing by and I agreed. Edward was really nice. I showed him all the holes and the a/c unit. He stated that the A/C unit doesn't appear to have been used recently and offered to fill it in. As for the holes in our fence, we could block it with rocks or pavers to prevent them from slipping in again. If the critter comes back he said to give him a call. Let's see if he comes back. Well, it did. I called back and Edward came back out with a trap. He explained to me how the trap worked and how to free any other animals that may get caught in it by accident. The very next day the armadillo was caught, I called them, they took it away and refilled the whole it made. Two days later, another hole was created. Ugh, another one! This time Austin came out and reset the trap. He was so polite and answered any questions I had and tested the trap at least 3 times to make sure it worked. It took few days and even had to had to flip the trap around as we heard some squeaking from the hole, then we finally got'em! They came back out to pick up the trap and the picked up the little guy. Unfortunately that wasn't the last one, so we had another trap set up and caught a third one! We thought that there might be a fourth one but all we've caught so far is a possum. It's been pretty quiet so far. Hopefully that's the last of them. Thanks CritterPro for everything!

I spoke to a very nice man named Scott who said he could fit me in on Monday (I was freaking out about the possibility of mice in my garage!!). He arrived promptly at 5:30pm as promised and immediately started looking around. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Told me what I was doing wrong (who knew you didn't place the poison feeders inside?!) and areas of the garage that could be sealed up. He even offered to go up in my attic to make sure there weren't any creatures in the house. This involved going into a very small attic crawl space on a HOT Florida afternoon. He inspected the outside of my house and pointed out areas where there were potential problems. He told me he could fix the holes in my garage where animals could get in for about $200, but was very honest about how I could probably do it myself - he even told me the tool and supplies I'd need. There was no charge for the initial visit and I truly appreciated his honesty and instructions. If I ever have another wildlife issue these are the first people I will call! Recently, I had an issue with pests. It was about 40 days into my quarterly visit which was 'May 31st. I called the office and informed them but the scheduler couldn't get me in until August 2nd. (Mind you I called the 2nd week of July.) I was informed to call back the next week to see if there was a cancellation, which I did the following week, but they only had something one day sooner. During this initial conversation, I explained to the scheduler that since I wasn't due for my quarterly service and that since I had seen pests, would I get a free re-treat service which is their policy written on the invoice. She needed to look into it. I didn't hear anything else from them until they called to confirm my appt a couple of days before it. When I called back to confirm, I again mentioned the free re-treat and had to explain "their policy" written on the invoice. The scheduler said she would talk to management and call me back. She calls back a few minutes later and stated management said I would still have to pay, even though this was NOT my quarterly appt. and they would not follow their own policy. I explained to the scheduler that I called weeks ago for an appt. because of a problem and she stated she explained that to them. I told her I've never had any issues with this company and was confused to why they wouldn't follow their own policy! She didn't know, told me she gave them all of this information, but was frustrated and said she would talk to management again, call me back, and also cancelled my appt. for the 2nd. This was on August 1st. Needless to say, it's almost a week later and no one has contacted me and I guess this is how they value their customers. Shame on them! Don't have a written policy if you're not going to follow it! Management could have at least called and explained why. I have recommended them to other co-workers but never again. Please beware!! Update: Today Marilyn, who is the scheduler, called me after hearing about the Yelp review. She was very apologetic about how she handled my situation and took ownership for her actions. In fact after our inspection I needed to call a few companies regarding some possible repairs and the experts said the same thing that Inside & Out Inspectors said in their report! I unknowingly subject the inspection team to someone who refused to get dressed! The seller was in his underwear and flat out refused to get dressed. The seller wasn't even supposed to be in the house, he lived in a different state and drove in the night before the inspection. Even the sellers realtor was mortified! The inspection went on, we refused to reschedule- after all that- the seller disclosed more information about the house that left us no choice other than to back out of the contract. Funny enough, the same team ended up doing the inspection for the house we bought. My father-in-law met them at the house to review everything with them and they joked about the crazy Texan from the first house. The house we ended up buying had a bunch of minor problems that we are slowly addressing. The report they provided is my hit list to fix around the house. Per my report, electrical seemed to be the most pressing issue and we had an electrician give us a quote even before we owned the house. The detail that goes into a home inspection is incredible. Some things are easy fixes and others may require professionals to fix. I appreciate the thoroughness of the inspection. Dad appreciated the levity and joking about the previous situation. The report comes with pictures of any issues they noted, as well as an easy to follow summary with red triangle alerts for the most pressing items that need a professional to handle, a blue tool icon for things that a handyman could fix for us and a minus icon for projects that we could do ourselves and/or get a handyman for. As with any inspection- no one catches everything. We discovered a leak in the roof near the chimney after buying the house. All in all, I was pleased with the inspection and report.
