It is comforting to know that she was so well cared for her last year of life. Our Belmont experience started off in such a positive way. The team was outstanding about helping us get mother settled from the West Coast in an emergency situation. They even loaned us furniture for her apartment until her things arrived. Once we were at Belmont memory care, the considerations continued. Mother had unique California natural food preferences and the Kitchen team was super about filling her requests for salads and salmon and vegetables. She loved the food! We cannot thank the memory care team enough. Our mother lived most of her life independently and alone. The memory care activities every day kept her involved. We saw her thrive having people around her and she lost much of her previous fear/anxiety. My heart smiles when I remember the loving hugs that the memory care assistants gave mom. She'd hold her arms up and they would hug her and tell her she was loved. It was beautiful. Her health situation changed as she became prone to falls and broke her hip. The Belmont nursing staff knew how to handle the situation. Many facilities do not want someone who has both dementia and significant physical limitations. The Belmont team and the nursing staff welcomed her back from rehab with open arms. We will always be grateful to them. Speaking medically, the Belmonts in-house doctor - Dr. Randy Villanueva - was the perfect doctor for us. His medical skills, experience with seniors and his compassionate heart are an amazing combination. He is a gift to his patients and their families. We miss our mother immensely, but it is comforting to know that Belmont made her last year the best it could be. The gift of care and kindness was a priceless one.

I've just had one session so far - so I'd like to update this after the end of our sessions - but I am so impressed with Anna! You can tell she cares a great deal about her patients and about her line of work. I felt like "man, I am in the right place." PT work is difficult because you are retraining your body to do stuff it should be doing. FRUSTRATING! But Anna breaks it down into bite-sized pieces that you can manage. Thank. God. For. That!!!! God love Kimberly Slate, the nurse practitioner at Finn. Last week I was in a pretty desperate state and I had to get in at the last minute. Somehow Kim fit me in, and when I tried to machine gun information to her so she could get to her patients, she calmed me down and just put me at ease and took excellent care of me. It's an impersonal world out there, and if Finn and Associates is on your insurance plan, you should treat yourself to people with a human touch.

For thousands of Memphians, Dr. S. and Dr. B are their primary care physicians. The care offered is so personal that persons, who had seen Dr. Sudha Prasad as a kid, even though they have moved to northeast Shelby County or Mississippi, still come to see her. The usual amount of time doctors spend with patients is roughly 20 minutes. In fact, when I was a kid, my family never needed to buy cakes or pies, because many of my mom's patients were so kind and thankful that they baked pies and cakes for my mom.
