Update two. I apologize as I did miss the message from the owner. I've written back to the owner to…read morethe specificity of the claim and will allow him to respond as he sees fit. This again is a review dedicated to the staff of this establishment and the unprofessional way they conduct themselves as representatives of this business, again as called out in the initial review. Update 1. Branch manager decided to call out a fake review without reaching out. The review is true as stated. Un professional as you can see by his response. The encounter I had was not from an inquiry for a mortgage, but simply visiting the compex. Poor business and serious lack in professionalism. The response here is what I'd expect from a child on the internet. Instead of looking to make right they'd rather infer they are right and would never do wrong.

Steve is a snake and you are his prey. They pushed me and my wife to take an interest rate of 5% to…read morehelp cover closing costs, even though we already had money for closing costs. Why? Because they said in general people only have loans for around 5 years before the upgrade. We trusted Steve, and that was a big mistake. That's no reason to take a higher rate. If someone gives you crap advice and then acts as though they're looking out for your best interests, and the law requires it, then you can be sure they're not looking out for your best interests. So everyone else I know got 4 percent or 4.5 at the most and here I am with a 5% loan from Steve. Thanks for nothing.

Although this bank is incredibly busy, they get through clients quickly. I have gone in on several…read moreoccasions without an appointment to see a service member and they have assisted me within a reasonable amount of time. They were very helpful with answering any and all questions that have come up. Phone service for BECU is usually very helpful and they try to accommodate your requests as much as possible. Sometimes the line in the drive through teller service can get long but if you go at a good time, they assist you quickly. There are 6 teller lines and usually each teller that assists is very friendly and good at their job. For ATM's, they have 2 outside on opposite ends of the bank and they have 2 more inside. (usually 4 inside but that area is under construction right now)

For everyday banking BECU is good. But if you have a life changing event, beware. When I got…read moreseparated from my husband my transactions started getting denied/rejected even though the funds were there. This happened again when we divorced. At one point I was so frustrated and in tears, because I could not easily buy groceries for myself and my son, I pulled up my app and showed the cashier that I had over $1000 dollars in my account with no pending changes, yet my $100 charge was rejected. Not to mention the embarrassment of this in front of others. I called customer service and they could not find a reason for the issues I was having and told me to call back when it happened again. I asked my ex-husband if he was having similar issues and he was not. Now I seem to be going through a similar situation with the death of my mother. She passed a little over a week ago and I am trying to log in on a Sunday to resolve some pending bills. I am listed as her POA, have my own card to her account and have been managing her funds for the past 2.5 years. Now I want to verify recent activity before I make any payments or changes. I am unable to login and keep being told to reset her password, and that they cannot verify the account. It is saved data on my computer, so no this is not legitimate. This is on a Sunday and customer service is unavailable and when I try the messenger option I am told to login to access the messenger. WTF I am so tired of these struggles that are impacting my life and family during already challenging times. This is not support, this is punishment. I will be finding a new banking institution. I am done.
