Trent did my roofing work successfully, but the handyman tasks he volunteered for were poorly done. He didn't have the right tools or take proper measurements, so I had to hire someone else to fix the mistakes, including cutting a piece of wood squarely and trimming a door sweep. He told me he would cut the wood at home, but instead he did it on my driveway and blew the scraps into the alley, leaving a much bigger mess that I had to clean up myself. He also left blue plumbing primer on surfaces, which permanently stained them. He charged me for gutter cleaning but spent only about five minutes on it, which seemed far too short for the amount I was charged. I wasn't shown any photos, so I'm not sure what was done. read more

We had a great experience with Absolute Quality Roof Restoration. They handle all roof types from traditional pitch to flat membrane roofs. We had a roof in our townhouse flat roof. We called and got quotes for a few different places, but many places did not have the experience/familiarity to work on flat roofs. To add complications, there was a floating deck on the roof as well. Trent was able to stop the immediate leak and get us on their busy schedule. They removed a half wall, replaced failing hardy board siding, cut and replaced rotted areas, repatched the membrane, installed a new roof entryway, and replaced the floating deck with new composite material. Trent and his team have the skills and experience in not just all roofing types, but many adjacent trades as well. They were a convenient, quality, and professional one stop shop for our roof needs. had the pleasure of working with absolute roofing company. have a solar panel installation being planned. 1 have been working with solar guy of Snohomish wa. And mount solar of tacoma. have a 10 year old roof that either needed to be fixed or replaced. 1 looked into the clean energy incentive from federal government and it states that roof will not qualify for incentive. So that could be a no go for me to go "green". 1 asked questions of highly rated solar installation companies. I had too many answers I needed clarification on. Some companies were just " selling" me and not bring honest. Just wanted to over state the incentive and not total up front cost. Some companies said that roof would qualify for incentive. Trent came to my home and did a inspection. Sent me an email that was very detailed. would have never known my roof needed a very small repair. Trent had pics and great explanation of repair. Idon't need new a roof. I feel very important and valued as a customer of Trent. Trent tries very hard to ballance his work life and home so there were times I did not get an instant response Trent was able to get my roof repair scheduled in a reasonable time frame. Wow, I'm pretty stunned to read the two negative reviews! It's like I'm reading about a totally different person than I worked with regarding my roof. It is always interesting to look at reviews and wonder what really happened. Trent was great with me, I have a 23+ year old roof and a leak. He was willing to do a patch just to get me by until I might be able to redo the roof properly. He said the (very very reasonable) amount he charged for the patch will go toward the larger job when I'm ready. Really nice guy and honest about what I needed vs what I might get by with. Came to our house to check a leaking roof. Never followed up with us again after his workers couldn't find a 40ft laddar to go up pn roof to check where leak is coming from. Definitely did not feel like I was treated like a priority. They seem nice tbh, but I would caution against going with them if they don't deem your problem to be profitable enough or something they want to dedicate work to. A basic need for any customer is a response and a follow-up that's it. read more

Trent is not only an ace at what he does, he's the most conscientious contractor I've ever worked with. He's also a 3rd generation roofer & is full of the most useful gems of information for things relating to roofs. Trent repaired some wall to roof flashing & was meant to do soffit vents for my 1940s house but found out there there was no space to make them. Without altering the quote he put in a solar powered vent & not only came back to check that it was working right, he also blew out the gutters at no extra charge. I'm so impressed with him! I had a leaky roof around a skylight recently. Trent cane out and identified not only the current problem, but also other issues with the roof that needed attention to avoid other problems from occurring in the future. He was prompt and provided a reasonable estimate addressing the main issue as well as the underlying ones. On on the day Trent and his team were scheduled to come out, they arrived punctually and prepared for the tasks at hand. They completed the work quickly and efficiently. Trent even did don't cosmetic things to improve the appearance of the roof at no additional charge. Afterwards, they cleaned up all materials and debris leaving the property in great shape. UPDATE 09/11/2019: Trent came out the property first thing today hoping to make things right, and is talking to my contractor. I'm really not sure that anything short of being willing to reroof for free will make this right, but I do appreciate that he is trying. Most people would probably head straight to court, but I won't be doing that regardless since Absolute Roofing did do what I hired them do, and the only people that seem to profit from our legal system are the lawyers. I still believe Absolute Roofing had an obligation to inform us of the condition of the support underneath so that we had a chance to fix the roof correctly before we wasted $20k. It is impossible that the problem wasn't noticed and even if it was Trent's workers, ultimately the business owner is responsible. 09/10/2019: I previously wrote a review on another site, giving Trent and Absolute Qualifty Roofing a great review because of their good prices, good work ethic and communication. I now have a MUCH different opinion. I used Trent twice on the last 3 years - once to replace the membrane in a house I had just purchased, and another time to do the roof on the guest house we built. Now, 3 years later we are adding a large addition to our house, and discovered that Absolute Roofing had simply replaced the membrane without informing us about the extensively rotted supports underneath. My contractor is sure that this problem predates my purchase of the house. There is no way that Absolute Roofing could not have been aware of the problem. While we didn't hire them to replace the rotted supports, we strongly believe professional standards should have dictated that we should have been told. Instead, Absolute Roofing simply installed the new membrane without giving us the chance to find a contractor to do the necessary work. It was equivalent to 'putting lipstick on a pig'. We are now having to remove most if not all of the membrane so that we can properly fix the crap underneath. What a waste of $20k - I feel ripped off. read more

I just had a great experience with this company. My Seattle townhome roof was showing water spots on the ceiling signaling a roof leak. I didn't have any roofers in mind so relied on the yelp reviews and was happy I came across Trent. He was fast to respond to my initial call and was able to get on my food a few days later. He actually called me from up on the roof to explain what he was seeing and how he could fix it! I discovered on Monday that my roof was failing in more than one place. I called Trent on Monday night and while I didn't reach him on the first try, he promptly called me back. We met the next morning and determined that repairing my roof was out of the question, and I needed a complete tear off. He was kind enough to move some things around and make things happen so I could get a complete reroof done inside the week. The heavy rainstorm two weeks ago uncovered a leak in our roof around the solar vents. We placed buckets in the attic to catch the drips , searched yelp, and emailed Trent! So glad we did. My townhouse neighbors had a leak and asked another roofing company (not Absolute Quality Roof Restoration) to come out for a bid. In the process, that roofing company looked at my side's roof and provided me with a bid as well. Because the company had very mixed reviews on Yelp, I wanted a second opinion before giving them the job. So I called Absolute Quality Roof Restoration. Trent came out to inspect my roof the next day. He found all of the same issues that the first company found, PLUS MORE. He took the time to explain in detail what each issue was and how he would fix it. I ended up hiring Trent because of how thorough he was with the inspection and then his patience in explaining everything to me. Trent even took the time to take pictures of the roof. After he was done with the work, he walked me through each photo. With the permission of my neighbors, he also checked out their side and discovered some issues that were not addressed by the other company. He went ahead and fixed them since he was up there already - and because we share a roof, it could later lead to issues on my side due to water run down. Appreciate the high standards of Absolute Quality Roof Restoration - and also how responsive and thorough Trent was with each question and contact. The next company who came out said it was done so incorrectly they insisted we see why ourselves, they had us crawl out on the roof to see the poor workmanship. He is also aggressive about wanting cash up front, Trent stated everyone does it that way and I should "just get my checkbook". After discovering our plaster ceiling was wet and bubbling, we called Absolute Quality Roof Restoration, based purely on Yelp reviews. In short, all the raves that others give are absolutely spot on. Trent was very responsive and came out to assess the problem. He noted several issues with our not-old roof (put on before we bought the house in 2012). After determining that a repair wouldn't fix the issues and clearly explaining to us why, Trent & his crew removed the faulty half of our roof (the whole front side) and put a new roof on. No leaks! Yay! (I'm writing this review several weeks after the fact, and we've had A LOT of rain.) Throughout the process, we were treated with great professionalism. Trent did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. The cost was reasonable, given the issues. We appreciate his knowledge and candor. His crew was also respectful and hard-working. I was up in the attic checking on the amount of insulation we would need to add and I noticed some staining around some roof vents. Worried about a watery winter I looked on yelp for someone who could check it out and fix it. Since it is a metal roof I knew I couldn't just call anyone. Out of the five or six places I called Absolute was the only one that called me back, and did it the same day. Trent, the owner, came out the next day between some other projects and checked it out. He went up on the roof and took pictures then came back down and explained what he found while going through them with me. I thought it was awesome that he took pictures and then took the time to explain, I have had some people over who have not done that (never again). It was obvious that he knew what he was talking about and explained all the materials he would need. We agreed on a price (super competitive) and an appointment when he could do it. I am so happy we called Trent! I noticed some moisture on our kitchen ceiling.... yes, one week before Thanksgiving :(, and so I panicked! And not just because we are hosting a huge group of people next week... I had nightmare visions of our kitchen ceiling falling in. Nobody wants that. So I called and left a message for Trent last night, and he called me first thing this morning, and was able to come out this same day. Amazing. He was running a little late, and had some sort of difficult situation of his own going on, so instead of coming at 11, he came at 4pm, dealing with nasty Seattle traffic. I really appreciated his making it work on such short notice and squeezing us in. He got here, looked at the ceiling, and immediately got up on the roof. He spent a good amount of time up there, and when he came back, he showed us pictures of the roof that he had taken, zooming in to show us where he thought the problem was. We don't need a new roof!!!! Looked like there was water coming in through a poorly sealed something or other, which he fixed fixed for us lickety-split. We were prepared for the worst, so this was such good news. He was fast, efficient, knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. Just the kind of person you want working on your house. We couldn't be more grateful to have found Trent to be able to repair the leak in our metal roof shortly after buying our new home.
