I called them ahead and told them that we have a special needs daughter. The manager, Aaron did not hesitate. He invited us to come in. He worked with my daughter to teach her how to ride while he was carefully evaluating her for safety as well as her needs. He then arranged for a private tour with our tour guide, Raquel who was at her home. Within a short time, Raquel came in and took us out for a fantastic and informative tour. 2. Their location is the best. They have rented space from a garage at the Millennium Park. This is very good because you get started with the tour right away and you don't waste time to get there. 3. They gave us a great orientation. My wife and I have done Segway tours in different parts of the world. So, we are pretty familiar with the whole process. But we learned new tips in handling Segway after their orientation. 4. Prices are very reasonable especially for a private tour. They charged $90 extra for the private tour (2 hours) plus normal fees and gratuity. That's very good considering the special attention Raquel provided for our special needs daughter. We booked this last minute. We have always wanted to go on a Segway tour but this was our first. We got our helmets, watched a video and met our guide Michael who did a great job showing us how to get on and use the Segways. After our entire family was comfortable using and stopping we departed thru millennium Park. We stopped several times over the 90 minutes to learn about different areas and items that we were passing. We drove around and they museum park and soldier field. We drove thru the outdoor exhibit of Agora. We finished our tour at the art Institue before driving back to the Segway drop spot. A great end to 9miles around the city. We joined the Segway tour and completed the transaction online. Everything was smooth and easy. Their website provided all the information about parking and location. The prepaid parking information was useful and saved us some money for parking. Their office was right off the parking lot and easy to find following the signs. They have a few instructors and many segways. We joined the tour during labor day weekend and they managed to have 3-4 tours taking off at the same time. We had around 20min of training after a short safety video. Our tour guide Jen was awesome! Jen introduced us the beautiful side of Chicago. She is friendly, energetic, and very knowledgeable about Chicago. Segway is an awesome way to move around quickly in the city. That saved us lot of walking. Because the person who made our reservation didn't listen well enough to spell our email correctly and we spelled it out to her twice! Then we get here at 8:05 for our tour all excited just for them to tell us they canceled because not enough tour guides yet they have enough here and one said they are still waiting for another group! This was our first time on a Segway tour. Our guide, Pat, helped us to feel at ease controlling the Segways, then we started the tour. He was knowledgeable about the sites and the history behind them. We did the "Chicago Insider" 2-hour tour. It was interesting and fun. Next time I visit Chicago, I would like to do one of their other tours. They are located in the parking garage, below the street level (under Maggie Daley Park). We've done a Segway tour along the lakefront once before with another company but when good friends came to town, I chose Absolutely for our 2 hour tour. Glad I did. It was awesome. Our guide Pat was fabulous and just a wealth of knowledge about all the buildings, city history, and odd facts that kept us all engaged. One of the best ways to see Chicago! This segway tour honestly was the best one. How do I know? Well, all the tours kind of meet in the same areas. They go down the same paths, the congregate in the same areas, and they all have their own flair. This tour guide didn't really need all that, they just have some honest good, hard working people that work there. Our tour guide was really nice, funny, informative, and could get along with the teenagers to the newly retired!! He was patient with those who needed an extra lesson and didn't yell at you too loudly if you rode on the grass (but really stay off the grass). In other companies, I saw them line the groups up like a military, while ours were having fun, staying in the general area together, but kind of had more FREEDOM. If you're on vacation, isn't that what you want? The view is fantastic, you get to see the skyline and you can go through the park. It's fun, it's easy, it's safe AND we got a discount :) read more

I had purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute Grant Park Segway Tour from this company so I thought I'd try this company. I've taken a Segway tour last year from another company so I already knew what to except. Booking of this tour was very painless which was great. This company is based at the southeast corner of the Millennium Park. The office is couple of level below ground - the signs for the office were very visible. The actual check-in was very painless. They gave you a form to read and sign - just for liability purpose. From there, we all watched a 5 - 10 minute video. After that, we were divided up into three different groups since there were so many of us. I was in Dustin's group. Since I was the only one with experience, I was the "demonstrator" of the group. Riding a Segway is just like riding a bike - it comes right back to you. Before any of the groups departed on their tour, we all knew how to ride one of this devices. We went through Grant Park, stopped at the Buckingham Fountain, then proceeded along the lake to the Shedd Aquarium, zoomed along the walks in that area before we headed back to the office. The entire tour was about 90 minutes once we got out of training. I would highly recommend a segway tour!! So much fun!! read more

Okay, the tour was decent but in Chicago you'd think there'd be SO MUCH MORE to share. Skinny on interesting 'facts' and facts but long on beautiful views and opportunities for great photos. We toured July 4th weekend and really felt we got to see Chicago at her best. Everyone out and enjoying the beautiful spaces. But the tour was disorganized getting paperwork done; no chairs to wait relaxed before spending hours on our feet; empty vending machines, and not even a complimentary bottle of water on a hot day. Now let's address the bathroom - a 'unisex' room with a row of urinals at the front and stalls toward the back. Am I the only one who sees a problem here????
