It's several years since we've been there. The food used to be a 4 star restaurant. Unfortunately they have gone down in quality. Went there a few days ago and my food was sent back as it came to me barely like warm. My wife and I ordered the same items. Beef enchiladas with rice and beans. They almost put some rice on my plate. Come on now! Rice is very inexpensive. Unfortunately this will be our last visit there. We originally headed for Portrillos, but when we saw 5 Murray County deputy Sheriff's standing in the entry way, we kept on driving. Wonder what was up with that. read more

This place WAS my favorite place to eat until today. I went out for my birthday, sat with my family & had to wait around 15-20 minutes just for drink order. I should have known something was wrong, but I thought it was a busy time for them so I let it slide. Well after waiting about 45 minutes for our food, while four other tables were seated & their food was brought out before ours. My brother had to finally go to the kitchen area & ask what the hold up was. They finally brought ours out. (never mind the fact they gave us things we specifically asked not to) The kicker for me & why I will not be back is that my sister went to pay & the woman taking the money said they go in order of when the food orders get placed. I have used Yelp for quite awhile, and this is my first review. I ate there twice within two consecutive days, and both days I received not only excellent service, but also the best Mexican food I have EVER eaten. One star cuz you can't put zero. Got charge $13.99 for a "steak". Pieces of meat, about 4-5 they are trying to call steak dinner. Their owner lady is not nice, like she hates her job. The servers were nice. Not going back there again. We were visiting the area for the weekend and stopped to eat here. It was 9:10pm and restaurant closed at 10:00. In most cases this is more than an acceptable amount of time to be waited on and served before closing. We were finally greeted by a less than excited hostess/server. She and the other staff were not welcoming, being downright rude. We asked to sit on the patio, thinking she'll warm up if given the chance. All we got was a grunt and shrug as she led us outside. We continued to try and engage her in friendly conversation, but received disinterest and rudeness for our trouble. She asked for our drink order. I asked if they had a full bar or just margaritas and beer. She shrugged and said, "I don't know." At this time I stated it was clear she was not interested in having us as customers and that we were leaving. She shrugged and said, "Okay." Awful attitude and professionalism. The meat was terrible though. Thick cuts of steak and had zero flavor. What was more disappointing is that it all came on a plate. Not a sizzling skillet. What made that even worse is halfway through my meal the table behind me had there food delivered and here comes their fajitas smoking and sizzling. They had the chicken fajitas. Not sure why beef is served differently than chicken. If you do not know any better about Mexican food then this place is for you. My personal favorite is the seafood tostadas, seafood tacos, and old fashioned tacos, not to mention they have EXCELLENT frozen mugs with lime on the rim, great for dos equis and tecate!!
