I've gone to many Mexican food restaurants, but this is my favorite one. It's in the very small town of wynnewood, Oklahoma which is about 2 hours from where I live! But I make the drive every now and then just to have the salsa! I normally get the chicken enchiladas, which are filled with perfectly seasoned, shredded chicken, and lots of cheese on top. They have regular salsa, and then salsa that they bring out upon request.... you need to request that stuff right meow It's a jalopeno based salsa that has a light green hue, and is very creamy. One dip in and you will loveeeeeee it. I end up pouring it on everything that I have on my plate, because of how much flavor it has. If I'm feeling lucky, I'll even pour some into my sweet tea. Their other salsa is habanero based. It has the same consistency as the jalopeno salsa, but with a lot more powerful kick. Ask for plenty of water to be brought to the table, because both salsas pack a bit of a punch. Everything that I've ever had from here was excellent, as well as the customer service! read more

After a long drive for a work trip we pulled into this restaurant per the yelp reviews. The atmosphere was very warm and the staff was friendly. We were seated immediately and given complimentary chips and salsa. This place was so good we actually ate there twice during the few days we were in town for work. The first night I got the chicken flautas. Very delicious chicken meat, and crispy tortilla exterior. It also came with rice and beans as well as sides of guac and crema. The second time we went I got the "Cowboy Burritos". It was 2 carne asada burritos smothered with queso sauce and sides of rice and beans. This was so delicious! The carne asada was tender and very well seasoned. The queso was creamy and had a nice spice to it as well. Overall if you ever find yourself in Lindsay, OK don't hesitate to eat here! read more

Wonderful Tex Mex place that is a short distance off of I-35 and worth the couple minutes drive. Great selection, plenty of the usual dishes and some unique stuff made with smoked brisket. I was on my way home from a business trip in Oklahoma City heading back to Dallas with Bruce, who traveled to OKC with me. We decided to take a flyer on this place based on some good reviews. In general, I would say that they were very accurate and that this was very authentic and very well prepared Mexican food. Bruce got the chicken chimichanga with sour cream sauce and Polle Asado. The chimichanga tortilla was very flaky and not over cooked to where it was hard and the sour cream sauce was light and not over done. My pollo asado was very well cooked, with the chicken being lightly seasoned and the vegetables on the side were again well prepared and not too greasy. If you were looking for a place that serves very high-quality Mexican food in a small town environment, with very nice interior seating, this is a good place to stop. read more

I've been here 4 times in the last month since I've found this place. Everything is made fresh to order. I've had the chicken enchiladas with the sour cream sauce every time. Today I got a chicken enchilada and a spinach enchilada to switch things up. I was in shock when I could see that it was actually fresh wilted spinach, along with tomatoes, onion and mushrooms. Very flavorful and I love that the tortillas are dipped into red sauce to soften them up. Generally I eat a little bit of beans and maybe a bite or two of rice but I have to say the beans are the best I've ever had, almost whipped and the rice is cooked to perfection. They had flavor instead of just an orange color to them. I love this place and will continue to drive just a little bit out of the way to come and have some great, and decently priced Mexican fare! read more

If you find your self in the small town of Wynnewood ok and hungary you cant go wrong with this place. I often judge a mexican restaurant by the chili relleno, a dish I have made and fully understand the skill required in it. Try the beef or chicken stuff chili. Top notch! read more

First of all, we rarely eat out because my husband and I both like to cook and buy everything fresh, use a large variety of seasonings, and like clean tasting food. So we are pretty picky when it comes to restaurants and almost never eat fast food, it basically has to be an emergency . So typically I pack meals for road trips and we picnic. However this week we had to drive to OKC and back in the same night and didn't have a lot of time to prepare, no time to pack dinner, so had to find a place to feed 6. I turned to yelp. This place only had 10 reviews but 5 Stars, and I noticed that someone living near me had posted (there are a good number of decent restaurants in flowermound and roanoke) so that caught my eye. I am so glad we found this place. The queso and guac both were great, the chickens tortilla soup was fantastic. The meals we had - chili relleno , beef burritos, and brisket tacos were all wonderful. Not a bunch of sloppy sauces and not overly greasy. The brisket was lean and seasoned perfectly. My youngest had chicken tenders and fries, and again very clean and fresh, the fries were thick and fluffy not skinny greasy things. We ate every bit of food that came out. This will be a regular stop when coming/going on 35 (only about 5 minutes off the interstate). Waitstaff was awesome. Wish I could give it 6 stars. I would pick this over most any popular chain near me, and especially if you like to explore small town restaurants, this place is a must. read more
