By far the BEST IT experience ever! Tom is phenomenal when it comes to computer knowledge, processing time, and outstanding customer service! He made my 2012 Mac functional again by replacing the battery, re-imaged it, updated as far as it goes, then took the time to sit with me and set it up to my specifications. Meaning everything from email, printer setup, downloading Office, iCloud, setting up 2 factor authentication for my security on multiple platforms, antivirus protection etc. etc. He went over any questions I had without feeling rushed at all. I started out last week rather clumsily by dropping an external drive as my wife and I were getting ready to head out to Jacksonville for her brain tumor treatments. This drive contained over 100 GB of data from old computers that I hadn't backed up elsewhere, and I could no longer access it. Not knowing anyone in Jacksonville, I did a web search on computer repair which showed excellent reviews for Abundant Computer Services. I contacted Thomas, and he used a SATA connector to access the data and found the hard drive to be intact. He then transferred the data to a more reliable SSD drive I had purchased. When I asked him what method of payment he preferred he told me I didn't owe him anything, as he knew my wife and I already had a lot going on with her condition. He even let me keep the SATA connector as he had some to spare. Such kind-hearted and compassionate service is uncommon these days. The treatments will be over in a couple of weeks, so in the meantime I will have Thomas tune up a couple of my old computers rather than spend the money on new machines. My computer seemed slow and unresponsive. It is about 4-5 years old so I knew it was probably time to replace it. I contacted Abundant Computer Services and spoke to Thomas. He told me that I could upgrade my computer for about half the cost of buying a new one and having to pay to transfer everything over. He said upgrading to an SSD would make it faster, more reliable and better than new. I took him up on the offer and I tell you what! I saved a bunch of money and this computer has never been this fast! I'm so glad I listened to an expert, he saved me a bunch of headaches and $. ACS has done a great job updating three of our laptop computers (6 years old) that were so slow and not really functional anymore. It was recommended that we update them to a Solid State Drive (SSD) that ended up being so much more affordable than buying new computers. We have been so pleased and impressed with the results. I had the blue screen of death on my Windows XP PC and called ACS on the recommendation of a friend. Over the phone we discussed the issue including upgrading finally to Windows 7 Pro. The IT Support Engineer brought all the parts, including the Windows 7 install. He quickly resolved the hardware issue, upgraded my PC to Win 7 Pro, and at my request, installed Office 2010 Pro. He backed everything up and restored all my data on the new build. It all works perfectly. my other project, I wanted a music server to copy all my 1000+ CDs into Window Media Center. He met me at Comp USA and we picked all the parts, motherboard, processor, power supply, Windows 7 install disc, everything to create the perfect music server. Three days later, and I have a powerful PC with 3 terabytes disc storage in a RAID 1 configuration, integrated into my home theater system. Very highly recommended. Here's my story. I took my computer to the Geek Squad first. The Geek Squad guy didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and his estimate was incredibly high so I decided not to give it to them. Best decision I've made in a long time. Instead, I went with a local company (ACS) because I believed they would actually take the time to look at it. I had heard good things about them and they were all true. They really know what they're doing. Their price quote was very fair and it was clear their level of expertise far exceeded the Geek Squad or anyone else for that matter. Best of all, ACS is extremely honest. After my laptop was inspected, they let me know the only thing wrong with my computer was a faulty power cord. (Best Buy told me I needed at $300 motherboard.) I encourage you to call them when you need a computer repair. Honest. Knowledgeable. Fairly priced. Of course not everyone is going to have a simple power cord problem like I did but you can be sure whatever your problem is it will be fixed promptly and fairly. A+ for ACS from me. read more

I finally called one more company before sending it back to Ohio to AVA to be fixed.
