Our driver, Beth, was punctual, polite, and a safe driver. However, the right rear tail light was damaged.

Dispatcher miscalculated time to airport. Driver late and sped. Got stopped by cops. Missed our flight.

A completely unprofessional and unreliable company. I advise all to avoid their service if at all possible. I had scheduled their services two weeks in advance for an arrival to and a pick-up from the Gorge amphitheatre In George, WA June, 2023. I confirmed two days prior to the event. The service to the venue was decent, no significant complaints overall. However, the pick-up from the venue was absolutely unprofessional. We had requested a 2am pick-up on 6/18 after an event at the Gorge. We were present in the requested location by 1:55am. The vehicle was present, however the driver no longer had functioning keys. Somehow, the keys/fob that allowed the driver to start the car and get out there, were no longer functional when it was time to actually depart. We (4 of us) then had to wait over AN HOUR to depart the venue, (until someone else could bring a second set of keys to the vehicle) arriving home significantly later than planned and quite exhausted from the event. The driver was unable to discount the service ($166!!) and given time of the night, I reluctantly paid the amount requested. Since then, I have contacted the main line of the company, and both Paul and Chris (owners of the company) multiple times with either no return call, or today when calling Paul to check in regarding his report last week that 'he would speak to Chris and get back to me', was hung-up on mid-introduction of myself and why I was calling and sent straight to voicemail when I attempted to call back. My request was only for a partial refund given the significant extended delay in pick-up when I had specifically requested a scheduled pick-up weeks in advance. Their service is unprofessional and dishonorable, particularly for a service that is very expensive given the area. I hope to provide this review so that no one else has a similar experience. read more

I took the Wenatchee shuttle from SeaTac and it was supposed to arrive at 12:45 AM but it got in 15 minutes early. I had made a reservation for 12:45 so I called AC to let them know I was going to be there earlier and the driver was waiting when I got there. His name was Aaron and he was just fantastic. At 12:45 in the morning, reliability and feeling comfortable with the driver is really important and AC delivered! Thank you AC and thank you, Aaron! read more

Taxi was filthy and full of dog hair.... And the dog! Driver was nice enough but the car was disgusting. Dog immediately jumped in the back seat and parked himself next to me. There is a time and place for animals and this wasn't one of them. Driver did get us to our destination which is worth the two stars. read more

I arrived in Wenatchee to find there wasn't any Uber or Lyft in service. I called all of the taxi/limo services inside the airport on the advertisements and not one of them answered. I walked outside to find an AC Checker Taxi waiting to pick someone else up. I call their number and was immediately connected to a dispatcher. Promptly after being connected with the dispatcher, I received a text message informing me that the driver was on the way and another message when he arrived. This was nice and convenient given the temperature outside was 35 degrees. Monte (the driver) took me all the way to Mansfield! Hands down the worst taxi company I've ever tried to experience in my whole entire life! Tried to talk to a manager or owner about a problem I had to get no return call till later call again and get told to f*** off by one of their agents!!!!! I've done tried to reach out again only to get hung up on over and over and over again this business is the most corrupt business I've ever experienced in my whole entire life and let me tell you I travel even Vegas isn't this bad!!! There's no way in hell that they do background checks on these people because half of them are meth induced and don't sleep for days like don't get in one of these taxis don't do it save your life!!!!! The car was dirty inside and out. The trunk had junk in it as well as a spare tire not in its place and our luggage barely fit. I had to sit sideways in the back seat as the driver seat was leaning way back and the seat all the way back. During this time of a pandemic and out of respect, the driver should have protected his passengers by wearing a mask! The driver kept sniffing and rubbing his nose with his hands. Of all the places we've been, this was the most scary experience we've had concerning safety measures (lack of) for their customers regarding covid prevention. I tried to comment to them on their website acchecker.com that comes up on apple maps, but it's a non working website. This is the only taxi service and Uber is barely getting started in this area. If they weren't the only choice for us that night, I would have refused to get in the car. Unless something drastic changes with their business, I will not use them again. read more

Vacation plans changed...Rodger that...our family will put off our out of country trip to next year...flights changed....ok I can handle a 6 hr layover with small kids in a rona infested airport. That's cool....I call the night before to schedule a pick up to the airport for a family of 5....pick up was suppose to be at 0645. I called at 0655 when our ride never showed up. The response I got was sorry were pretty busy right now. I don't deal with excuses. You could have told me "that we are too busy for you". Or "find another way to the airport". But no they told me the night before that they could handle it. 0700. Still nothing. So I drove my family. The taxi industry is dead. Uber and Lyft in wenatchee. Totally unreliable. I called ahead to make sure they could dispatch a cab at 11 pm from the train station to a hotel as my very weak brother arrived by train and I was worried about him having to wait in the cold. When he called 10 minutes ahead of arrival, they said a car would be waiting. When the train arrived, there was no car. He called again and the dispatch said it would be two hours before a cab could come. It was 20 degrees! He could have died waiting. He had to pay someone $20 to take him to his hotel. with service like this, it's just a matter of time for Uber to put them out of business. read more

Can only imagine that this place is still in business because it's the only place in town, I'm honestly shocked that someone hasn't started driving for lyft around here because they could make a killing. We had a pickup scheduled for 6, the phone rang 4 times at 5:30 and we missed it. Called them back, were told with attitude that our driver had moved to another pickup. We asked them, confused, why, since our pickup wasn't scheduled for another half an hour and they said they'd re-schedule us for a 6 pickup. 6:15 rolls around, and we've heard nothing. Call to cancel, as we just decided to drive ourselves, no apology, or explanation. Truly horrible customer service that is completely indicative of why the taxi industry if failing around the country. Checker apparently thinks they're immune. read more

Terrible! We tried booking this taxi and the man who answered the phone was so rude. After trying and trying we gave up and spent more using a different company and getting a private car (money well spent). We met a couple on Leavenworth who used this company too and didn't have a single nice thing to say about them. Rude employees, staff with no common sense or knowledge, and no decency. I used to use this company all of the time but never will again. My fiance told them she didnt have cash but had a debit card, they sent a male driver to pick her up, when he proceeded to get payment from her his debit card reader didnt work...and she didnt have cash...so he wouldnt let her leave the car for 20 minutes until she convinced him she coukd go inside and write him a check. Wow is ALL I have to say. They where nice and curtious to pick us up on time. He told us he would pick us up if we called 30 mins prior to needing ride. Ya well that meant call for 30 mins and I'll ignore you. My friends mother gave him $20 that included both drop off and pick up. He skipped us. The taxi service was alright, but I had to call hem after the party bus driver (Aaron) shut the door in my face when I was trying to get me and my wife home from Oktoberfest. Looked straight at us, had room, and just slam! This was after I talked to him on the phone and told him I'd be taking his service home that night. If I'd known the party bus was connected to this business I wouldn't have called, but I didn't find that out until we were driving already. The cab driver was cool, but he was guided to the wrong place by dispatch, so he didn't show up at the place we told them we were, so after he arrived we had to go searching for him. The ONLY redeeming factor of this experience was that the driver was friendly and got us home safely. Next time I'll search for other options. 11/21/16 EDIT: The owner and I e-mailed back in forth for a week or so after my initial review. I do think he was sincere in his responses, and wants to do his best. However, our conversation ended without a resolution, as I'm not sure if he ever took the time to hunt down my calls or not. I am moving my review up from 2 stars to 3 stars based on the fact that I do believe he's right in assuming I probably tried getting onto the wrong bus. I went where I thought he told me to go, but I couldn't confirm the location since the phone was going straight to voicemail when I tried calling that night. It's very possible I went to the wrong spot, especially since I've seen pictures of his party bus, and the one that slammed the door in my face was unmarked, unlike AC Checker's party bus. read more

Can't say enough about these guys. We (wife and I) were hit head-on Sunday, January 22nd headed home (to the west side) on U.S. 2, about 10 miles west of Leavenworth by an eastbound vehicle that lost control and crossed the center line. Ended up being taken by ambulance to the hospital in Wenatchee after a long stint at the clinic in Leavenworth (the first ambulance ride). We were released about 1:00 am Sunday night/Monday morning. We had no means of transportation, so asked if the hospital could call us a cab to take us to a hotel. The hotel (La Quinta) will be another review. Aaron showed up to drive us there. He helped us both into the vehicle and talked with us about what had happened on the way to the hotel. He asked how we were getting home to the west side. We said we weren't sure, as our car was totaled and we would not be able to drive for some time. He said he owned the cab company and could help us. He thought about it a bit and offered to take us for what I thought was an incredibly reasonable price. I said we didn't even know at that point when we could leave, so we'd let him know. The next day we were trying to regain some strength and energy, while contacting our insurance company and also trying to find out where our car had been taken, since it had everything from our week's vacation in it. Ended up it too was in Wenatchee at a tow yard. We called and talked with AC Checker and said we could leave the next day but needed to be taken to the tow yard first to gather things. Aaron called back and said he personally would pick us up and take care of things. He arrived Tuesday morning at 9:00 am as promised and took us out to the tow yard. Most of our stuff was scattered about the inside of the car along with parts that had been picked up from the wreck site and thrown into it. Neither of us was very ambulatory. Aaron dug out pretty much everything and loaded it into his vehicle for us. He then drove us home, where we arrived around 1:30 pm. He along with our older son then unloaded everything into our garage. He was a great guy to spend a few hours with - entrepreneur, musician, karaoke master. Very diverse interests and talents and a good conversationalist. He was reluctant to take more than he had offered to do the job for, but we insisted, as he had really gone beyond what we could reasonably expect. We also had an experience with another driver, John, who took us to the hospital in Wenatchee Monday night when I was having trouble breathing. Nice guy, good driver, and again, a very reasonable charge for the rides. I know our needs were rather unusual, but AC Checker was proactive in seeing them and offering to help, while not extorting us in the process. I could not have asked for anything more. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about these peeps! We rented the party bus for a bachelorette party. Let me tell you, they went above and beyond for us! Any needs that we had were taken care of. We had wineries planned in Chelan and had no idea what we were doing afterwards. They told us about a place called Sunset. It had a DJ that night with karaoke and we had an absolute blast! We all got home safe and sound. They truly went above and beyond. Great down to earth peeps who made the experience truly one we will never forget! Highly recommend them! Excellent cab service! The dispatcher was very friendly and professional. We called ahead to arrange for transportation to Leavenworth to enjoy Oktoberfest with some friends. The cab arrived on time at our Wenatchee home and the driver Ty was exceptional! Great personality and very courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with him! We had a terrific time at Oktoberfest and then called the dispatcher and requested Ty to give us a ride back to Wenatchee. Hopeless - booked cab for 12:30am pickup. Called to confirm prior to pickup and got a work from home CSR with screaming child in background. Further calls and texts resulted in discovering taxi was canceled. No apologies but told new driver would arrive after 1:30am. Save your money and call anybody else. read more

Do not attempt a timed cab with this company. I called the night before a long trip and booked a 5:40 am cab pickup. When they were a couple minutes late, I called them. They informed me that I was not in queue yet!! ETA 25 minutes. I explained that my entire itinerary depended on getting to the train station to catch my SeaTac airport shuttle at 6 am. To top it off there were no Uber cars in the grid yet. So, I will have to drive to SeaTac and pay for airport parking. (free downtown Wenatchee parking was full when I got my pass the night before). Only deserves 1 star for drivers courtesy. I had 2 taxi attempts to pick me up and while walking towards them each time the taxi took the very first people who ran up randomly. I had to wait a total of 1.5 hours for a cab (with the personal responsibility of waiting outside ahead of the time i was needed to assure pick-up after calling). read more

Wish I would have read these reviews prior to booking. Posted a review on their Facebook page which they have taken down now. Well they can't take down Yelp Review. Worst customer service I have experienced in Chelan ever. I called Tuesday January 10th and made my reservations for Friday night and Saturday for my group of 7 people. We were ready and waiting Friday night @ 4:45 to go to our event that started at 5:00 which we bought tickets to go to. I called @ 4:50 only to be told by dispatch that she couldn't tell me when we would be picked up. At 5:10 we decided to leave and I called dispatch and voiced my opinion of the service and was told the Navigator that was to pick up our group was broken down. I told her to tell the owner that a phone call should have been made to us, we arrived at our event 30 minutes late. I cancelled our rides at that time and I have cancellation text messages. Saturday morning your driver arrived on time, he was courteous and I tipped him nicely, your Navigator was dirty. We had a reservation to be picked up @ 6:00 p.m. I called @ 4:30 and asked if we could change our pick-up to 7:00 p.m. which I was told no problem, received my confirmation text to prove that too. We waited 40 minutes and made other arrangements to get home, by this time I felt if your company can't call me then why should I call you to cancel. If you are truly a taxi service don't take reservations, if we were attending a wedding, funeral or catching a plane and made a reservation only to show up an hour late that would not be ok. I'm not responsible for my neighbors group so all the problems you had with them don't associate with my group, we were ready for pickup at each time we said we would be. I own a local business too so don't pull that crap on me, we would never treat our customers the way we were treated. Clean up your act and clean up your vehicles. You are such a liar. You seem to be confusing me with my neighbors, their reservation was totally separate from mine. I had 7 people and 7 people only. You never drove me once, the one time we rode in your taxi our driver was one of your employees. We never kept anyone waiting 1 minute, I never threatened anybody and no one in my group was EVER drunk. Everything in my review is true. I reserved for 7 people, you were over a half hour late before I called and cancelled only then to find out the other vehicle was broken down. You proceeded to throw your employee under the bus when I questioned you when we left Karma (where you were waiting for my neighbors not us cause we ended up driving ourselves) telling me your employee was suppose to call us and tell us about the broken down vehicle. She didn't even know until she put me on hold and called you. I have text messages from every point of my reservation. We rode with one of your drivers on Saturday, and when he was backing up our driveway we were walking out. Quit skirting around the fact that you screwed up our group of SEVEN PEOPLE, quit putting information in review from what my neighbors did or said to you they are all adults and though I'm friends with them I'm not responsible for them or their reservation, quit bragging about how you follow all laws and have insurance unlike the yellow vans whoever you are talking about is not who I had a reservation with and just apologize that you messed up. Was in a car accident last night and car towed. Had to rent a car and hotel reception called checker to get us to the airport for the rental. Called an hour before we needed the car to make sure it would be on time. After they didn't arrive hotel called again. They said it would be ten minutes. After fifteen minutes called again. They said it would be a half hour because they sent the cab to the airport. Then the dispatcher hung up on the hotel reception. Incompetent and terrible. read more

Terrible taxi service! They told us 5 minutes and it took over 20 to arrive. If they just would have said that it the first place it would have been fine but the lie was upsetting. The dispatcher was insanely rude and told us that they would not come down our driveway to pick us up, that we HAD to walk out to the street. When the driver arrived he informed us that the seat belt where my Girlfiend was sitting did not work! This blew my mind that a taxi service was putting a car on the road that endangered the safety of its passengers. Not to mention being illegal as it gets. If I drove without a seat belt I would be pulled over before I got to the stop light at the end of my street. But apparently if ax checker does it it's all good. It cost $11 to go just over a mile. The price is outrageous and the rules don't matter to these people. DO NOT RECCOMEND! I can't wait for uber to get here. At least they require safety checks for their cars and drivers. And you don't have to deal with rude dispatchers. read more
