Jaime and Ayline (I'm so sorry if I misspelled your name!) helped us today and they were very kind. We walked in about 15 minutes before closing and Jaime walked us through how to order on the screen and once the order was put through, they both went to complete it. We had four bowls ordered and it didn't take that long to receive which we appreciated with two very excited toddlers waiting for their treats to be ready they were so kind to throw in some extra treats for us in the bag! How sweet of them!! Even though we went in before closing, their attitudes and customer service never dropped because it was the end of the day. They made sure we were taken care of and treated us VERY sweetly until we walked out of the door. Came home to enjoy our treats and it's SO GOOD. My family's had this before but this is my first time and it's DELISH. Not too heavy of a dessert but I'm very much enjoying it and won't feel guilty about it later my little family has been here three times and they love it. Pretty upsetting trip to Acai Republic. We have been here a few times now but this was the first time since Covid began. Firstly, the girl who was making our bowls was the problem. She wasn't wearing her mask above her nose while preparing bowls. Secondly she rolled her eyes at us because she was yelling and we didn't quite understand her and came to the counter to confirm if she was calling our order. She rolled her eyes and repeated herself. The music is loud, and we are all wearing our masks( not all properly) therefore she should have some patience. I'm a believer of fair reviews therefore the 3 stars are for the taste and quality of the acai. Love this place! I have gone to the Tustin location several times and recently discovered this location. I have tried the Madly Mango Smoothie (my favorite) and the Real Brazilian, and the two times I have gotten them they were great. The second time I stopped into this location I ordered the Brazilian and the cashier asked if I wanted protein added which I declined. When I was waiting for my smoothie I noticed my receipt (which was emailed to me) had an up charge. I brought it to the attention of another employee and she was able to correct it. I wanted to like this place, but I just didn't. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not used to the flavors? I ordered a madly mango bowl and a spinach and ricota empanada. There was something in the bowl that tasted off to me, a flavor I've never tasted before. I'm assuming it's guarana? For me personally, I didn't like it. Maybe it's an acquired taste, I'm not too sure. The mango on top tasted like it wasn't quite ripe yet. So after the bowl I thought maybe the empanada would taste good, but nope. It was kind of bitter to me. I genuinely think that I'm just not used to these flavors. I think I may have imagined a taste in my head and these items did not taste what I imagined. As far as the store itself, the customer service was good. The cashier was friendly and my order came out relatively quickly. There really isn't much of a seating area in this place. This Corona location is a tiny store at The Villages at Eagle Glen hidden behind Wells Fargo Bank. (It's a nice touch when they put a paper bag to cover the front door handle when it gets hot outside so that you don't burn your hand on the handle!) Super-friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff (Thanks, Randy!) from the moment you walk in the door. I went with a large Tahiti Açaí Bowl. I know this sounds picky, but I think I prefer my açaí bowl in a bowl versus a cup. It's easier to get the granola, açaí, and fruit toppings all within one spoonful! I also found the small layer of granola at the bottom of the bowl in addition to a thick layer of granola on top a nice touch, too. Nice, large, fresh-looking fruit with a drizzle of honey.
