On 8/24/2020 I was told that my Vitamin D was low along with a few other minor vitamin deficiencies. I was told that I would be put on a schedule to come to the office and have these vitamins administered by IV. I told Carla Brook that I was not going to be administering anything by IV and the costs quoted was outrageous. I requested a copy of my labs to be posted to my portal. Nearly three years later, they have never provided me with the lab results that I paid for and simply ignore my requests. I've now requested that my information in their custody and on their portal be destroyed and my account closed. No answer. She seemed nice and friendly and went over my options. I ended up choosing the GLP-1 injection package which included vitamin shots and a diet coach for $5,199 for 6 months. I paid this balance in full and set my appointment for the GLP-1 injection, Vitamin injection, and with the health coach Colton all for the same day. When I got to my appointment for this Vivian took me back to go over the GLP-1 injection. She explained side effects and asked me general health questions. When I asked her what happens if I get pregnant she immediately told me I need to prevent against it while on the injections. Funny thing is when I asked Laura the same EXACT question before giving her my money she said all I have to do is stop the medication. I told Laura I am not actively trying but not preventing getting pregnant either. She said as long as we are not actively trying I can continue. NOTHING was said to me at time of purchase about having to prevent this but was automatically brought up when I went in for the injection. Vivian told me she was going to reach out to her district nurse to see if I should continue with the shots but in the meantime I can get my blood drawn and get the vitamin shot. After this I had about a two hour break in between to see Colton the health coach. He went over some things and started showing me supplements when we were interrupted by Vivian who wanted to talk to me. I went back in to the room with her for her to tell me that she heard back from the district nurse and I shouldn't do the GLP-1 shots. I told her once again that this situation sucks because I brought this up to Laura and prevention was not mentioned. I clearly told her I am not trying but we aren't preventing either. I can't take birth control so this is an issue. Vivian said "I don't think Laura would have worded it that way." Which considering they both knew my whole situation was really frustrating. She said Laura might be able to switch my package to a natural route that would cost around $3,000. She told me to take the weekend to think about it and call Laura on Tuesday to cancel if that's what I wanted to do because Laura processes the return not her. I called Laura first thing on Tuesday to cancel. She sent me a cancellation form to fill out which I did so immediately. Then... nothing. I called and left two voicemails for Laura. She never called back. Just sent an invoice showing a cancellation of $4,776. I have emailed repeatedly and called repeatedly. They had a manager call me from a different location and she couldn't answer any questions. Said she would get back to me today, and never did. Shocker. I received zero services from them. This was a cancellation due to their own district nurse telling them not to proceed, and then they are going to short me $423 on a return? With no explanation? And nobody calls back. The return was from over a week ago now and still hasn't come back to my card. I filled out a claim with the BBB, maybe somebody will respond to them. Options Medical Weight loss will take your money up front, have their nurse tell them not to continue, and charge you for services not received. STAY AWAY!!! How a company can sign you up for a program then have the nurse tell you not to proceed and then get charged is literally insane. Come on Kara, let's hear the AI-generated comeback on that one. ________________________________________ Their "medical advice" is DANGEROUS Before offering me (a minor) weight loss drugs despite coming back with a healthy BMI, Kara first provided me with an AI-generated workout routine and a "No Carb, No Starch" diet. Good thing I did my research, because otherwise, I probably would have wound up passing out & sick. The no carb, no starch diet was framed as sustainable, but called for less than 20g of carbs, about 75g of protein, and 5g of fat in a day. That adds up to just 425 calories A DAY. In an attempt to get something from it, I did some calculations and applied the same ratio of macros described in the diet to a reasonable 1,468 calorie diet. But it now called for the consumption of 73g of carbs, 16g of fat, and 257g of protein (that's more protein than in an entire rotisserie chicken!). The diet is dangerous & beyond saving. ________________________________________ If you made it this far, I hope I've convinced you not to waste your time and money on this horrible clinic like I did. It was NOT clearly explained to me that the initial fee was $947 PLUS $109 per month! The consultation was confusing and overwhelming. The salesperson literally contradicted what was stated in the mandatory instructional video, and when called out stated that it was an 'old video'. I knew better than to make a commitment without researching the business and its practices and products, but went ahead and signed the contract against my better judgment. Within 24 hours I attempted to contact the business by phone and email in an effort to negate the contract and initiate a refund as I knew this program was not for me. The only response came in the form of an ignorant, unprofessional 3 paragraph text which read (in part): "I would NEVER want to take on any client who isn't committed to bettering themselves." This type of unprofessional, rude communication is unacceptable. I returned all materials to the business within 3 days and signed a contract cancellation, but never received a refund or any further correspondence. I even offered to settle for 1/2 of the $500 paid to compensate for the employees' time. Not only did they not respond, they charged my credit card for the remaining $400 the following month and attempted to withdraw an additional $109 for the monthly fee (*AFTER I had signed the cancelation and returned all products). Complaints have been filed with the BBB and the Illinois Attorney General. I have also disputed all charges with my bank. All told, I was charged nearly $1,000 for a wasted 2 hours of my life and to be treated like human garbage. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS.
