With the first televised game at the new Chase Center, NBC Bay Area Sports needs to up their game. Throughout the telecast, they actually think this pre-season game counts. The Warriors close a 20 something point deficit and they comment about a comeback? This duo sound like overzealous Little League T-Ball parents. Azubuike played four seasons with the Warriors (2006-10)? Can't recall him. Jim Barnett, the veteran announcer, is going to be moving over to the radio coverage. I'm going to turn off the TV sound and turn on the radio or watch on NBATV!

The way you frame a story can make all the difference - I knew a lot about the specific subject and could see immediately that there were missing pieces to the puzzle. The piece in question was three minutes and fifty six seconds. I dug like a gopher to see more about the same story. ABC 7 had a story that was eight minutes and nineteen seconds and was a great piece of investigative reporting. It went in depth and put forth facts - was less about coming to ridiculous conclusions without finding experts to talk of the subject first. I then researched the specific issues in question and got firsthand data on the event. Within ten minutes of my own investigation I saw how lots of facts were left out - facts that make the mysterious element of the story seem more clear. I usually find the news comical in how witnesses give their personal opinions of random events. Usually its a clear issue or event to speak of and for dramatic effect they show some witness that looks good on camera - but the piece I saw was so wrong - even if they had obvious time constraints in their length of the story. The piece NBC put forth was shameful. I believe it was successful in doing what it was designed to do - get attention.

I got to attend the KQED FEST of 2026. It was my first time visiting the headquarters, and the space was just dopamine inducing: open space, walls of windows, areas that just scream community cultivation. There is so much to do at KQED Fest, and this is a FREE event! There was a variety of spaces designed especially for creative kids: painting, playing, looking under microscopes. There were also a good offering for the adults: panels, presentations by NPR, and auditions for Check Please, Bay Area! And if none of that sounds interesting than feel free to take your pick of tours, a stage with local live music (by such greats as: Tiny Desk Concert winner Ruby Ibarra or the 2024 KQED Bay Area Showcase winner Misa James), bingo, and lots of great food and drinks. Of course, I grabbed a little KQED swag as a physical souvenir of the day. I'm hoping (make that manifesting) I'll attend a live taping of any of the wonderful shows filmed right there at the headquarters. Thank you for opening up this incredible space for the public to visit. Attending KQED Fest fulfilled a dream long in the making for me.

She is an anchor who makes you realize how much skill it takes to do live television really, really well. She is so articulate and quick on her feet. She's listening and processing in real time, and has organic follow-up questions - doesn't feel rigid and scripted. Her abilities are also especially noticeable during breaking news coverage and live interviews I've seen her do. She's genuinely engaged and pulls me in. She has presence, but she doesn't make the stories about herself. Also, her background is awesome! She is an SF State journalism grad who started at KPIX as a production assistant and worked her way up through newsrooms around the country before coming back to anchor in San Francisco. She's covered major events like Hurricane Harvey, the Dallas police shooting, and the San Bernardino terrorist attack. This is probably why when something unexpected happens on air she doesn't look rattled, always rolls with it. Thank you KPIX for supporting awesome, smart, confident, badass women with command at the anchor desk and in the community.

Darren Peck provides way too much detailed information. It's nice to know all that about weather tracking and new storms forming, but his report ran too long. I think his 2nd weather report was nearly 10-minutes in duration. Also, the way that he's walking across the map is annoying. Go back to just pointing, instead of standing on map. After about 25-mins, I switched to another station.
