I called the appointment line to schedule an appointment as was told that the provider will have to approve whether or not they will see me before they can schedule me. I have been sent for numerous test and when the results come in they don't reach out to discuss but only enter referrals. I'm assuming that the expectation is that I show up at these appointments bc they scheduled them but not really for resolution... just for them to check the box. I'm really starting to feel as if they discriminate based upon your rank when you got out. Every officer that I know receive top tier care but as enlisted every location that I've been too has been horrible. It's extremely disappointing. Someone told me that if I continue to have care at the VA that my health would suffer and I now 100% believe it. I now understand why so many veterans are not healthy and opt not to follow up with healthcare. If this is the standard then we are all in trouble. I will be looking for private insurance next open season bc if I stay here my health issues will not be resolved. Silver team review.

It only takes less than 2 mins to fax a prescription. I was worked end on Tue diagnosis with flu and strep. I was no better on Wed and had more symptoms so I called in and was told to just go to ER! I believe it's time to end the 6 yrs with WellMed and move on. They might not give a rats behind about my health but I definitely care about it and want a Dr office to at least show they are concerned too!I don't see why it takes six hours to fax over a prescription. ?!?!

When I call to ask a question about my medication or request a change in medication, they ALWAYS say that someone will call me right back or at least that day. I never hear from anyone. Saw Dr. Dr. Richard Prezas, who treated us well. Most importantly for a physician in this day and age, he made recommendations but did not push too aggressively for treatments that were not wanted. They also add false diagnoses to your chart. Watch out!!
