Unfortunately, my longtime primary care physician of many years was among those affected, and I was reassigned to a pool of seven different doctors. After my appeal to remain with my physician was denied, I decided to give the new system a chance. However, when I called to schedule an appointment with one of the assigned providers, I was told the earliest available appointment was December 2. If the purpose of this reorganization was to improve patient access and care, my experience has been the exact opposite. I even reached out to a patient advocate hoping someone would recognize the impact this has on long-term patients, but I was simply told that patients are free to seek care elsewhere. It is disappointing to see patient-provider relationships that have been built over many years dismissed so easily. Continuity of care matters, and telling loyal patients to find healthcare elsewhere is not the level of service I expected from an organization that claims to prioritize its patients. Shame on Gonzaba Medical Group for handling this transition in a way that leaves long-time patients feeling unheard and undervalued.

All of that fear and anxiety went away with just one visit to Heath Texas medical group. From the kind and welcoming receptionists to nurse practitioner Stephanie Munoz. The experience was amazing! They have consistently provided superb service and follow-through, so I recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a PCP. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I missed an appointment due to an emergency, called them beforehand to let them know, and they said it would be enough since it was an emergency. Called to reschedule, they said I never called so I'd have to pay. Asked them to check their system, they didn't find evidence of my call. I called back to reschedule again, the said they found the notes in their system, but I'd have to appeal formally. I asked them what proof was needed, and they said I'd just have to make the claim that I had emergency surgery. So I asked what's the difference between now and then, since I had already done that and what would constitute as proof to waive the fee. They couldn't really answer, transferred me to billing and billing said they couldn't do anything, I'd have to talk to the practice. I asked billing to get on the call with me and the practice, and they said they would, but they did a simple transfer instead. When I finally agreed to pay and appeal later, they didn't have the appointment I needed. One big circus, wasting everyone's time, over 25 dollars.

I really like NP Ellis and I liked being able to get my blood work done in office. However, the front desk staff were rude and unorganized. They tried to charge me for someone else's appointment while checking out when I'd already paid, and were pushing their paperwork towards me. I figured this was just a bad day for them or maybe they were very busy. A few months later as an established patient I needed an appointment due to an injury. I'm not kidding when I say I spent over an hour trying to get ahold of anyone from the office. There is no way to make an appointment online, their website says to text them during business hours but they don't reply. I left messages, I stayed on hold... I will say when I finally got to speak with someone she was super friendly and helpful (I believe her name was Carla) and she set me up with NP Greene as Ellis was booked. I absolutely love NP Greene! She really listened to me, had a reasonable approach to my problem, and even sent medications to my pharmacy to help with my issue. I felt like she tackled every avenue and was very thorough. So naturally I'd love to see her again. Had a cold about 3 weeks ago and thought I'd try to get in to see her, called the office, texted, never heard back. Now I'm trying to make my annual appointment, and can't get anyone to answer. I leave a message, they say they'll call back, they don't. Seriously, what kind of office is this?!? If I were a provider working here I'd be pretty mad that my patients were being ignored and unable to even schedule an appointment with me. I am going to continue to try to book an appointment to see NP Greene because I really did appreciate her care, but the scheduling department is in desperate need of an overhaul.

The wait time was excessive, and there were numerous communications sent to me that felt overwhelming. My appointment with Laura Sinclair Rodriquez was canceled on the morning of the appointment, which I had waited two months for. The next available slot was a month later, which was disappointing. She couldn't work me in since it was her fault in cancelling my appointment in the first place. Despite arriving 15 minutes early as indicated in multiple emails, I encountered issues checking in due to the receptionists being occupied. When I finally checked in, I was informed that I should have arrived 30 minutes early per the instructions from Ms. Rodriquez, which contradicted the previous communications. It was frustrating to wait an additional 30 minutes, only to learn that I might not be seen that day due her ridiculous notion of wanting new patients to wait for 30 minutes, even when I completed ALL paperwork online. The nurse was the only courteous staff member I encountered, and I felt that overall, the office is poorly managed and does not prioritize patients' time. Do not waste your time and money at this office. It is understaffed and not efficient.

I could tell from day one, Dr Hill was more worried about his liability and selling his alternative expensive medicine instead of prescribing My medications of 10 plus years, some being controlled substances. He gave me a significant lower dose on everything and always trying to get me off of them regardless that I was completely functional and never had a problem. Whether it was that awful manager Brandy or him being a coward, their way of no longer having to prescribe me, was to be sneaky and give me a low dosage at the pharmacy then get upset with me for asking why it was so low. When I went in and paid $183, a nurse said she wasn't giving me my medications any longer, Not even my doctor, then her and Brandy completely exaggerated because I asked to speak to Dr Hill and called the cops. So cowardly done unprofessional unkind uncaring. They will cut you off and not tell you a thing. Immaturely and unprofessionally took me off privia So I couldn't communicate or get any records. I have never had a doctor treat me like this. I completely blame Brandy but I do question if Dr Hill is that unprofessional and that much of a jerk. He obviously cares more about his crappy office workers than the people bringing money to him because there are many complaints about those girls yelling at people and he does not care. Good riddance and I'm so glad I've lived in this city for so long and no a lot of people.

I recently went in for a Urinary Tract Infection or UTI. Test results came back positive from their office and more extensive labs were sent off to Quest Diagnostics. They prescribed antibiotics. 3 days later over the weekend I could tell the antibiotics were not working as the UTI was still as severe as the 1st day I went in. I had to wait until Monday to call in as their office was closed. When I phoned I asked if they could extend the RX for 2 more days or call in a new one? Their answer was NO. They actually wanted to charge me for another FULL office visit and a new urinalysis. It had only been 4 days later by that time! They already knew the diagnosis was a UTI and the RX was not even completed at the time of my call. Lastly, the test results which were sent off to Quest Diagnostics were never given to me or even posted on their portal. I have called and sent messages through their portal requesting them, all contact falls on deaf ears. I finally spoke with the office manager Tammy and asked if Dr. Hendley could call me back as I was upset with the situation. He NEVER called but instead, messaged me through their portal. His message was unspeakably insensitive and rude. WOW! Seriously? I didn't list all the problems here but you can see Dr. Matt Hendley is definitely not in the business of "Do No Harm" but, he is in the business of, "how much money can I milk out of your insurance company." It really makes me shudder at the thought of anyone seeing him for their doctor. I would never recommend Dr. Hendley or his staff based on their lack of integrity and insensitivity to patients health concerns.
