(I had emailed a couple places and this is the only one that actually returned my email) I scheduled a time and I think a week out to meet with them. When I arrived, I met with Nichole Thousand and we discussed my current situation and what she needed to take over my taxes and help me with other financial needs. I must say that I was very impressed and that she has made the transition very simple and easy and I feel full confidence in her services. I specifically said I wanted direct deposit. She asked for my bank information, which I gave her. When it was done it was going on some Emerald card. I said I asked for direct deposit. Then it said I denied my refund. I tried to call and the recording said I had the free version and wasn't allowed to speak with anyone. Free?? They were goi g to charge me almost $300 for a simple tax return. I asked questions, asked to send me the return to sign it. She never answered a question. I called today and was told she didn't work on the weekends even though she did my taxes on Sunday. She never got back to me at all. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was on her way there and asked to have her call. Never called. Called back and now she's not in today. I missed out on the loan for my refund. All the person I talked to said is we can cancel the taxes. These people do not answer questions, charge a ton of money for a simple return and you can talk to no one. I will NEVER use H&R Block again. All they care about is charging you as much as they can and lying to you. Worst customer service.

Problems started back last summer when I went to cash a petty cash check from the company that I…read morework for, who direct deposited my check into my Arsenal Credit Union account, all while I was dressed head to toe in company branded apparel and they turned me down. More recently than not, I began the process of making that account inactive, but still open, as family and business partners have accounts within that branch and you can use their coinstar at no extra charge. One of the final things I asked of them, was to please turn off over draft and decline any attempted transactions instead of doing what they call a Courtesy Pay. I was promised that if any transaction attempts were made that they wouldn't go through unless I had an adequate balance. That was a lie. One slip up and an $8.99 charge for a music streaming service we forgot to switch cost me the $8.99 plus an additional $28! I called and Kim waived it for me only after throwing it in my face and going out of her way me feel like an idiot for trusting what the rep told me to my face about it being turned off like I had asked. Her explanation was basically summed up as "well you can turn off courtesy pay, but it doesn't matter because it still works regardless". Little to no effort was made to retain my business after being a member for nearly 10 years I felt like the staff was just as happy to have one less member as I was to be closing my account with them after poor treatment.
