I've attempted to resolve my concerns and issues with this business directly, though it has gone…read moreunheard and unresolved. I leave this review so others may save themselves the trouble or at least have a realistic expectation that is not solely based on a sales pitch. I contracted Bean Countery for CFO services following a business transition and the loss of a long-standing office manager due to an unexpected family emergency. Services were contract for 6 months initially at a rate of $3,000 per month. Emily's (the owner is Emily Moore) role was to step in to take over the financial management of the organization to include taxes, balancing the books, and help with financial strategies to stabilize and grow the business. What I actually ended up with was a headache and a very expensive bookkeeper. Emily outsourced (contracted without my direct involvement) the tax services to an out of state CPA, as she is NOT a CPA (at least at the time I was contracted with her). This outsourcing created several issues that were not anticipated. One, Emily was not good at keeping appointment times and on more than one occasion was not available for collaborative meetings with the CPA. Given she was the facilitator this made working with the CPA difficult because they were out of state and the information to be discuss needed to be provided by Emily, who was not there. This was further complicated because Emily was not timely in getting financial information to the CPA, who then could not do her job timely. When Emily was finally fired, I was left to answer for the contracted services that Emily solely agreed to for a subcontract price I was not aware of (my taxes STILL aren't fully complete, and we are in August of the subsequent year). These services were supposed to be included in the price I was paying Emily, as Emily was subcontracting this agency for services she was getting paid to do but does not have the credentials to do. Emily was fired in May, and I am still dealing with this. She has remained unresponsive. Emily also set up a Quickbooks Online account for an associated passthrough company. After her termination, part of her off boarding was to take my business credit card and enter it into the new QBO account in order for me to take over possession of this account, as it was originally included in the monthly payments. Once Emily made sure I was paying for the account, she did not give me any login information but rather advised to use the forgot password feature to reset the login credentials. Moving forward with QBO, this has been an ongoing issue. Emily has refused to simply respond to verification emails and requests to formally allow this access to be relinquished while essentially holding my account in limbo. I've attempted to reach of to her to resolve this, my new accountant has attempted to resolve this as well. Again, Emily was terminated in May, and I am still dealing with these issues stemming from her involvement. Bottom line, I paid Bean Countery literally $30,000 ($3,000 for 10 months) and don't really have anything to show for it other than time I've spent trying to fix the things she was involved in. If she would have simply helped resolve the issues she created, maybe just responded to me with login verification credential, I would have just washed my hands of this and called it a lesson learned. However, after being on the phone yet again with QBO for an hour I think other people need to know what to expect. These are just the things I'm still dealing with. Communication, timeliness, and availability were also ongoing issues that should not be present at that price for services.
