The owner of this concrete company (Ryan) was quick to respond and provide an estimate, and he guaranteed that I would love the end result. He spent one day chipping and cleaning the area, and the next day pouring the concrete (side note- I understand that it's legal, but it was very unsettling that he showed up on the second day wreaking of weed. Perhaps he didn't think I would notice or maybe he just didn't care, but it raised an eyebrow as he was there to do a professional job). According to him, the truck that he had arranged to come and pour, had concrete with some sort of stones mixed in that he did not plan on. So he spent time plucking stones out. I'm not sure why he didn't just contact the company he arranged the truck with and get the right material delivered (I was not aware of any of this until after the fact). By the end of that day, the floor looked beautiful, as it was still wet, and I paid promptly. Within a few days, there were cracks throughout. By the two week mark, the floor was so badly cracked that it was lifting EVERYWHERE and hollow underneath all of these areas. I immediately contacted him to come and correct this problem. He arrived a few days later. He did not pull up areas that were cracked and starting to crumble (these areas literally moved under our feet), he just poured concrete over them. Before it was even dried, the cracks were coming through. I asked him if he used a bonding agent as my contractor stated it did not look as if any was used. And the owner stated that he 'never really thought a bonding agent worked that good anyways'. Over the next few days, I had two flooring professionals and three contractors at the location, all telling me that the entire floor had to be chipped up and redone as it was already coming apart and would not withstand flooring being put on top of it. Additionally, every single one of them states that a bonding agent was clearly not used. It would be one thing if there were a few cracks here or there, but literally, the entire floor is pulling up and cracking, showing that there weren't just a few spots missed. There was just no bonding agent applied to begin with. Another mystery that the flooring specialists as well as the contractors couldn't quite put their finger on, was that no one could really confirm what material was actually used. Though I was told this job would be done with a self-leveling concrete, they do not feel this was the case. They honestly couldn't tell if it was mortar or stucco or whatever might've been left over in the truck. But it did not have the finish or coloring that it should've. I contacted the owner yet again and told him all of this, and that I wanted and deserved a refund as he did not provide the service he guaranteed. However, this time he did not respond. Some cracking here and there over years of use is to be expected, but the entire floor is in worse condition than before he did anything to it. A refund is absolutely necessary as I cannot salvage any of this and I have to pay to have it pulled up, cleaned, and done over. But without any response from him, now I have to take other steps. This was, and continues to be, an absolutely horrible experience and I hope no one else has to go through something like this.

They came the first day and asked us if they could roll up our fence, (our neighbors drive way and ours are seperated by a chain link fence) we said sure, as long as you put it back exactly as you found it. btw these workers are two kids, id say in there early 20s. That day they are out there rolling up our fence, well they rolled it so it was on OUR side of the drive way which made it hard to get in and out of our driveway, but in respect for our neighbor we didnt make it a big deal and just drove around it. and one day i ended up scraping my mirror of my car on it bc their is litterally just enough space for the car to slip by it; and let me include that my neighbor was only getting half of his driveway done, because the other half was already done, so there was plenty of room for them to roll the fence up on the other side of the driveway that was not being used. they had this rolled up for 2 weeks, and in the process of rolling up the fence, they cut down a tree that was by the fence, without premission. The next day I went for a walk and on my way back my neighbor stops me to talk and said he wasnt to sure about these guys and that looked like they were tearing our driveway apart pretty bad. so I go look, and I notice them cutting a line inbetween our driveway and our neighbors, I suppose they had to do this to get the old driveway out, no big deal except they did a TERRIBLE job cutting it and it was cracking up our driveway, litterally chunks missing, huge cracks about 5 in deep 2 in wide. it looked terrible! and where our fence posts went into the ground it was all coming apart!. (our driveway is blacktop btw) now I know this is not supposed to be happening because our neighbor had the other half of his driveway done, a few years ago and that half of our driveway looked fine! so I went up to the workers and asked them what was going on, and If they planned on fixing all the cracks and missing gashes, the worker Ryan assured me he planned on fixing it and said there was no way they would just leave it like that. He seemed really nice so I took his word for it, and the next day My fiance went out and asked them what exactly they were going to do to fix it, and he said he would fill it and press it with blacktop. Now He told us this in front of our neighbor, myself, my fiance and his worker. So we said okay, thankyou. now this job took about 2 weeks total to finish and one thing that irratated me was they always worked from our property, they had all their tools in our driveway, they parked their big red truck with all their tools etc, blocking our driveway completely, I actually had to ask them SEVERAL times to move it so I could get in and out, and SEVERAL othertimes because I had company coming over, and SEVERAL other times my fiance had to tell them to move it so he could get in the driveway when he came home from work! This was an everyday thing, and i would tell them everyday please dont park blocking our driveway, there is plenty of space in front of our neighbors house to park and still have perfact access to all of your tools. well they never listened. Meanwhile they are smoking ciggerette after ciggerette in our driveway, which would be nbd except that we have a 1 year old daughter and we play on the front porch, and its really unhealthy to be breathing in this second hand smoke from them, smoking in our driveway! after all the concrete was in, and they were finishing up, Ryan the boss (which btw I thought was just a worker this whole time bc he seems so young) comes over to the front porch where we are playing and says so you happy we will be outa here finally? just making friendly conversatin. I said yes, haha but you still have to fix our driveway! and he stated that it was fixed because they cut right up close to the fence posts this time (about a foot closer to our fence posts than the other half of our driveway) and that should hold it together the best possible. I said, but you told us you were filling it? (now let me just say that there are still CHUNKS missing, and all the cracks are still there. I mean our driveway looks like HELL at this point. and im pissed. ) He replys with well I know I said that but im no good at blacktop. I was like .....WELL why would you tell us you were going to fix it??? then he says very RUDELY "im not getting into it with you, ill have to talk to your fiance" and walks away. Later that night my fiance calls up our neighbor and he assures us the driveway will get fixed wether he does it himself or they do it. The next day they came back to pressure wash the driveway, and they blew all the debree from the driveway right into ours, and all over our back patio, all over our lawn, there was even little pebbles stuck in the muffler of our car, that was parked in the driveway. SERIOUSLY? how rude! now our driveway is getting fixed by our neighbor.

After him not showing up 5 times, we decided we weren't comfortable with him doing the job since his ethics seemed really poor. he said he would mail us a check refunding us. We still haven't received it. We will be contacting police. I also spoke to 3 other companies and they all said they would NEVER take payment before completing the job. Wonder who else he has done this to?!? We have a trail of texts that we don't mind posting if he wants to deny any of this.

We finally submitted a small claims claim but court date isn't until January 2024. Numerous calls and emails to them trying to find out when they will start went without and answer for the next week, they never answered the phone or emails. We finally got through to them, and they said they were short staffed and couldn't give us a start date. When we contracted with them to do the job, we were told they needed a deposit so they could order the materials, this was at the end of September. Come to find out a week and half after they were supposed to do the project the materials were never ordered. We told them to cancel the job and refund our money (which is a sizable amount). They told us only the owner could do that. After a few days go by the owner called and apologized and told us he would cancel the job and refund our money. That was over 3 weeks ago and still no check from them. I would not recommend them to anyone, they can't be trusted.
