I had nothing to do on a Sunday afternoon, so I dropped by and decided to leave my Explorer. They said to give them about 90 minutes, but they rang me 45 later and said all was good. I came in to replace my tint and she immediately started trying to convince me not to wait, when I insisted I would her time estimate went from a few hours to 4-1/2 to all day. When I obviously wasn't scared off, even after she snarked "I'm gonna need more than that from you" she then started quoting the top end tint prices in a hurry, and when I corrected her on the number of doors my care had, she snapped that it "didn't matter" and that they charge the same. I took my 2001 Jeep Cherokee to have the windows re-tinted and they ruined the door panels on both sides. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not only did they ruin them, they didn't bother telling me when they brought me the keys.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I got in the vehicle to leave, I noticed streaks on both doors that I "assumed" would clean off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If they would have told me up front that this might happen I would have asked them to cover it with something - still can't believe they didn't just automatically do that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lucas offered to have the vehicle detailed but I just had it detailed and that's not going to fix the issue. The only way to fix it is to replace the door panels which are not easy to find. This is not the first time we've had an issue - my son took his 2021 Scat Pack to have the windows re-tinted because they had been done super dark when he bought (illegal) and he got a ticket. When he picked up his car, there was goo all over the back seat and the area under the back window. Luckily he was able to clean it up but I should have known then that something at Accu-Tint had changed. Second time I've had my vehicles worked on here. They did a more complex project for me in having tinted my camper shell. We wanted a slightly darker tint for our shell when we sleep during any excursions. Super happy about this place since many other shops have been intimated by the installed screen. Drained my battery by leaving the doors open while installing tint. They jumped the battery off and didn't tell me. Every warning light on the dash was on. Everyone knows that if you completely drain a battery, the life of the battery is decreased substantially. The manager finally came out to speak about it. He interrupted and lied to me, his customer. I will never recommend or use this place again. The customer service is nonexistent and the manager is rude. UPDATE.... Rubber trim around the widow is cut very bad. Their overspray is all over my interior and the tint doesn't quite reach the edge of the window. Accutint did a great job on my Navigator a few years ago. I don't know what's happened since, but I would avoid Accutint at all cost. $300 plus for a mess. See added pictures. I don't recommend any ladies using them for sure. They think you are dumb and talk to you as if so. Reply to owner/manager Every complaint to Accu-tint is always the customer's fault. The pictures that I added are things YOUR team screwed up. Own up to your mistakes and take responsibility like a man and an honest business owner. You are not always perfect. My trim was not sliced like this when I took it to your shop. The overspray is your mess. You said and I quote, that you had to hand trim the two small back windows for one reason or another, and that's where the window trim is sliced up. I have learned a $300 lesson and I hope many people read this before they put their trust into a company that believes the customer is always wrong. My experience the receptionist was very nice, and professional. I was on time for my appointment, it took them an hour and forty five minutes, for three windows. (Two windows and a sun strip) realistically should not have taken no longer than 45 minutes. I went outside to do an inspection immediately noticed problems with the tint. She sent someone named Lucas outside for me to show him what the problem was. He did acknowledge that there was problems. On the way back in he made a comment "as window tint installers we do what we can". There was no comment needed, that's just admitting that you made mistakes, trying to make yourself feel better for it. They did take the car back and it took approximately 30 minutes to fix one window. Total time approximately two hours. The tint did turn out to be pretty good, and out of the 5 places I called they were the best price. That day they had plenty on staff, it just took way to long for the little work that was needed. Like other people stated on yelp they don't lay nothing down to protect your interior. So the prep/ products they used gets all over the interior. So my suggestion is don't detail your vehicle and go here. If you were having a sports car tinted they would probably lay something down before working on it. All cars should be treated the same despite what they look like. Turns out the guy that made the unnecessarily comment was the owner, Lucas. Although the price was good it is a gamble. This business is by far one of the quickest and most professional I have had interactions with. If there were categories for overall ratings it would be at 6 stars across the board. This ranges from the expeditious communication to the overall products they provide. I've worked with other tint companies previously in my area which have always left me feeling like I was screwed. I was a tad worried w/ the initial windshield tint but within 24hrs it was exactly perfect just as they informed me it would be. Went there to install 5% window tint , the price was a bit high , however they wouldn't accept any form of payment but cash , and i wasn't told that until AFTER they already started the job , the job was done horribly on the rear windshield i asked the guy to cut a swuare in the center to put the image , yet he said it's impossible ( done it before and looked fabulous) he did recommend getting the image on transparent paper and put it between the tint and the glass ( turned out to look very bad ) And on top of that the tint is not backed with any guarantee, or anything The worst tinting shop i have ever came across read more
