First of all, I like the fact that they are in the same office building where they were 8 years ago, it makes me feel like they are a very stable group that's going to be here when you need them. Secondly, I never felt pressure with my new purchase. These things are expensive, and my health insurance even paid for part of it. And they offer a wide range of pricing on units, so it's totally your choice to go entry level or high end, they had positive things to say about all the units. The staff have all been very nice, the office is very attractive, and I'm six weeks in so I guess I'm getting used to them. I can't say that I love my hearing aids, because honestly I still can't tell a huge difference in my hearing... but I also wasn't too horrible with my hearing to start with. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 - but they are all really nice to work with. So if you think you need a little amplification in your life, give them a call.

Dr Lainey was very friendly of course and said she would give me a great discount on hearing aids. Later I found out she upped the price on paper to make it look like I got a deal. She took only 15 minutes & charged an absolutely ridiculous amount to have her computer program them. After doing research, I found out she charged me way more than what other audiologists charge in town for the exact same aids & service. I have never felt so taken advantage of before. Every little extra thing she does comes with overpriced additional fees. No breaks whatsoever. I feel like I have been had by a con artist. The service she has provided has been subpar. I have left msgs & received no response. I found out she locked my aids. Because of that only she can continue to program them as needed. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with her until I need new aids someday. I deeply regret ever going to see Dr Catherine Lainey in the Franklin, TN. Fair warning. By the way, the receptionist is 5 stars.

Staff was meh but not everyone loves their job. 20 minutes after the appointment time I was taken back to the exam room. 2 hours later still no contact, I went into the the hall to find Dr. Deaton discussing something with his nurse. I advised I had another appointment and could not stay. He very loudly explained he was dealing with truly sick people. Glad he could help, but confused why he didn't also have his staff explain he was significantly behind schedule. That unfortunately is not how his office works and this is not the first review to mention scheduling challenges. The front desk could not refund the required appointment fee, they said billing had gone home for the day. The choice to leave patients in the dark when significant delays exist is just poor manners.

I was looking for a dermatologist for our family. A lot of people recommended Dr. Franklin. I see a…read moredisturbing trend lately. Everyone trying to push you off on a PA. I am not interested, and it should be a personal choice. I chose to try this office when apparently they were making some personnel changes. I had to wait 3 months, and I did specify the Dr., not the PA. When they called to confirm mine, they said it was with the PA. I told him no, I made the appt. with the Dr. He said no, and he also said there was not difference between a Dr. and a PA. So I said well, we are going to have to agree to disagree, and I wanted to reschedule. So he said he had an appt. 3 months later. I cancelled and called to tell the office mgr. exactly what I thought about this. They apologized and offered to call me when there was a cancellation. That was very nice, and I did get an appt. within a couple of weeks. So about those personnel changes. They have a nurse there, oh nooo. She rubbed me wrong right off the bat. Condescending, rude. I hate to judge after one meeting, so I will tell you that was confirmed after my second visit with my son. What's funny is my son looked at me after she walked out and said, oh I do not like her. So he was stuck seeing the PA, and she was nice enough, but I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE PA. So first visit, she put him on a med, kind of expensive. No samples. I hate that. You have a teen trying an expensive acne med, and no samples. So he tried it, and it was not good. We went back, and she wanted to give him FInacea. I thought that sounded familiar. The PA also said she uses it. The horrible nurse said it's expensive, so I asked for a sample. She said no samples. Hmmm, the PA uses this expensive med, and you have no samples. So I look it up, and it's a Rosacea med. It's not marketed for acne in young teens. I did not want to spend $200+ for that, to try. I called and said can I wait for samples, she said they do not expect to get any. Whatever. I am done with them. I'm going someplace else.

After we got home, i looked at the one hearing aid giving her trouble and after a little research online had it working fine. maybe its just the cool springs branch but not impressed. Definitely no miracle.
