Big examples are the vinyl in the laundry room over the vent. They had to come cut the vinyl to install the vent. We caught it because of the weird square outline in our flooring. Next one is the fact that our carpet has to be pulled out of the upstairs bonus space because of a large soft spot in the floor. We also seem to have a wasp issue as wasps keep coming in our bathrooms-one of which has no outside access. The biggest disappointment by far is that in the model, the plug and water for the laundry room were installed differently than the way they did them in our home. I was really disappointed because I wanted to have our's like that. They didn't ask us, but just built it in different without a word. Corporate is responsive as is the liasion. I understand that things won't be perfect but I guess my dismay is more around the fact that Oakwood Homes are not cheap. I felt like these things should have been caught. The buying process was a bit wonky. My home counselor was one person and then she was transferred to Banning Lewis and became very hard to reach. Matt, the builder was the best part of the initial process. He was so patient and answered every question posed to him. We were initially given a worst case scenario as far as the finish date and then didn't end up in the house until then.

What happens when a teen goes for a joy ride or someone jumps in to steal the purse and drives off and accidentally runs over children in the park where kids are playing next to an abandoned school bus. The ignorance of this situation is annoying. Noticed it was abandoned because we could smell the extreme diesel fuel for 20-30 minutes which is what first upset me and this is why I know how long it was abandoned for while the ignition was on. I'd give a zero but it won't allow me so a one star is me making a statement that this bus driver needs to be looked into. Not a responsible adult. Believe this happened in the afternoon around the Banning Lewis area. Not 100% sure. Date is exactly May 17th. Find out through the bus # and license plate who the ignorant bus driver is!
