Funny that you think you cleaned this place. That is not a crawl space.... seeing as there is not a crawl space in this split level home; We call that a laundry room. Or at least Solid Rock does, as you advertised in unit laundry, though nothing is hooked up. Pumpkin guts on the back deck, melted citronella candles from the deck to the ground, the dead mouse, the human hair, baseboards were never cleaned, the garage was not looked at. I would be more upset if you weren't making a fool of yourself on your own yelp page. Unfortunately, you also can't read. Our availability was stated after Solid Rock was "waiting for us" after telling use they would call us back days ago.... SCAMMERS! They charged me for things they were not willing to fix when I moved in and are trying to use my deposit to fix these items. This includes , chipped paint in every room, broken doors, dents in the wall, stains on the shelves and in the closets, water damage, non working appliances. The place was disgustingly dirty, had no heat and I was told the rent reflects the condition of the property. These people are FRAUDULENT and will do everything in their power to give you the lowest quality living conditions. STAY AWAY. They lure you in with low rent because they plan on keeping your deposit from the beginning. They refused to fix these items while I was living there and suddenly it's problem after I moved out even though I have proof this was the condition prior to move in. BEWARE read more

*9/26 Update - finally spoke with accounting dept and Al was super nice and did due diligence into my charges and found it was not my fault screens had not been installed in accordance with CO laws. So Al, and the lady who did the yearly inspection when I lived there are the only 2 nice people I've dealt with. Unlike the response below where I believe I've been mistaken for another person complaining about the thin walls, where no due diligence had been done to see about my review. Quick to not take responsibility and that's my entire reason why I made this review. ----------- original and response below: Do not rent from them. I've had issues from them since day 1. Apartment itself had nice, new appliances but the walls and floors were so thin! You heard everyone and had no privacy from your neighbors. Their customer service is awful, they never want to accept responsibility for anything. I got into it with a person over the water bill because they didn't know how to read the bill and charged my building twice for one month. They are currently charging me for upgrades and cleaning that are in excess and we're not how the unit was assigned to me. I followed all their directions and have still gotten charged. They may be nice for selling you a property but as a property management they are the worst I've ever dealt with in my 20yrs of renting in 4 different states. Response to Colin Smith's comment: I have called and left a message for a call back to explain just how these are actual repairs. I didn't damage any screens, I didn't take off any doorstops on doors, and the approx. 2ft by 1.5ft closet that was swept was like that when I moved in. If you all cannot prove that it wasn't like this prior to my move in or that I did this then I shouldn't be getting charged for these changes. You may have addressed things previously but this review is to help others know about you and how you all handle your customer service. Your quality for properties is below standard regardless of being able to guarantee it. The fact that I had to point out how to read a water bill doesn't excuse the fact that I had to do it. Your quick response and the fact that you all refuse to take any responsibility for properties you all manage is a problem people should be aware of prior to choosing you as a renter or as a Property looking for a management company. This company's attitude towards tenants does not support 1) a community trying to live together symbiotically nor 2) sustained tenants. CHOOSE ANOTHER REALTY COMPANY! There's much better ones in Colorado Springs. Dealing with Solid Rock Realty has been a nightmare! They're a "middle-man" company by the way. My family and I used them for house rental purposes.  We've never been late on rent, always compliant, and keep the house very clean. Last week, the A/C went out during a heatwave.  We reported it and someone was sent to investigate it with the conclusion that it was blown.  Solid Rock Realty was slow in getting back to us about getting it fixed.  When they finally did, they said someone would be out in OVER a week (more than seven days)...in a heatwave (that has yet to break)!  We kindly asked them to provide us with some sort of cooling for the sweltering hot house that we had to live in with our two children.  When we contacted them to bring us some fans, a portable A/C or worst case (on their end) to put us in a hotel where there's air conditioning). The ONLY thing Collin (Solid Rock Realty) conveyed to the owner of the house was that we wanted them to put us in a hotel. That's the shady stuff we've been dealing with.  This is a shady company. They basically told us they're doing nothing of the sort and we can get it ourselves!  By the time the air conditioner would be fixed, it will be two weeks.  We're paying Solid Rock Realty a nice chunk of change for rent and they could care less about their renters. Also, they allow the homeowners to attempt to sell the houses while you're still living in it with three months still on your lease!  Seriously, all they do is take your money and have no clue how to run a respectable company. Trust me, go someplace else, there are far better realty rental businesses than this.  Skip this one if you don't want headaches and chaos. read more

Solid Rock Realty - Hot house! Broke air conditioning unit. Solid Rock refused to provide us with fans or portable A/C. - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Colorado Springs, Colorado

My property owner switched to Solid Rock Reality five months ago and we have had none of the habitability issues have been addressed... 1) No outside lighting... 2) Main electrical panel on outside of building turns off while it's raining... I've been shocked as I tried to flip the main breaker back on... 3) Perimeter fencing in front of house is broken has been for months. I have dogs and I have to stay with them while they are outside otherwise they would run out the broken fence. Colin the office manager is argumentative and insulting... Very dishonest people... Personal Items have been stolen from the locked house when no other people have had access except employees from Solid Rock Reality. read more

Two stars out of fairness to others. As a renter there is always going to be some level of dis-satisfaction. Although consistent professionalism goes along way with old-fashioned kindness. Dealing with Deanna Barnhart, in the beginning was not bad. This of course changed once the lease was signed. She is rude, argumentative and has no emotional intelligence which emanates through her actions. She is very passive aggressive as evident by her emails. I rent because student loans won't allow me to buy at this moment. Deanna is a cancer for Solid Rock with her attitude. She is not professional on many levels and is just nasty to deal with. I am thankful to be done with Solid Rock because of her. She sends nasty emails, in all caps constantly threatening that if anything is wrong in the unit, you will be being paying out of pocket. Isn't that what I pay rent for? I had a couple issues that I certainly did not bring to her attention in fear of being over charged, I am assuming more than what it would have been worth. Where is the customer loyalty? It's all about the money with this company versus proper humanity. I understand some people are not the best tenants, but for those whom are good tenants, Deanna you should be embarrassed. You gave me no peace when I first moved in and your downright rude! I have heard many good things about Collin whom works there. Word gets around! There was another gentleman named Graham whom was so KIND and pleasant. I am thankful the property owner took his property back, after her email placing the blame on me for the reason the owner wanted to part ways with her as well. NOW I can rent in peace and not deal with her!! There is a new lady there as well whom seems to be personable, she was a manager of Panera bread. Hopefully Solid Rock gets rid of Deanna and Deanna finds a job at the IRS or somewhere she doesn't have to manage people! Period!!! One bad apple DID spoil the whole bunch for me! The property manager declined our family just for the fact we have a German Shepherd. Said that is not a dog they will allow. Seriously, I am totally shocked. I have never had a turn down would not even meet us just pushed us away for having a great dog. I guess the fact is they only want cocker spaniels. Totally insulted.
