I was towing my travel trailer with my 2002 F250 4X4 from Kansas City to Spokane, WA via Lake Havasu City to visit a friend for a day. Upon arrival on Friday after 11 hours of hard driving I incorrectly tried backing my travel trailer up a very, very steep driveway. Transmission oil started dripping onto my exhaust pipe and started a small fire. After putting out the fire I checked the tranny oil. It was light brown but didn't smell burnt. Saturday morning I called Advance Transmission to get their Monday morning opening time. To my surprise Scott, the owner, called me back almost immediately. He said he would meet me at the shop to look at my truck. After looking at it he said I could still drive it but I should bring it in on Monday to put up on the rack. Monday morning rack inspection revealed an obvious transmission seal leak. Since the tranny had to be pulled to replace the seal I suggested he rebuild the transmission (his shop rebuilds). He also installed a heavy duty torque converter and a auxiliary transmission oil cooler. Although it took days to get some of the parts, I was very satisfied with their work. His price might have been a tad on the high side but he is worth it. I returned to Spokane after two long hard days of driving. The transmission is better than new. Tight, quick shifts without lags. I recommend Scott and his employees without reservation.

If you need it rebuilt, it'll be around $3,500. I showed up at 8. He explained the rebuild process. No call by noon. I walked back down there. The service wasn't done. Here is a summary of what he told me: I didn't do the service. Why would I if you need it rebuilt? I mean, we haven't looked at it yet, though. The transmission fluid was 2 quarts low and filthy. I asked what if it was just low? He said, then you definitely need it rebuilt. I asked to buy two quarts of ATF. He told me to come back after lunch as he unwrapped a burrito. I checked the fluid. It was bright red and by no means was it filthy. Do I need a transmission rebuild? Maybe. Maybe I don't. But, this place is beyond shady. I can't in any way recommend it. I can and will advise anyone to stay clear of this place.

He claimed he did not but he wrote out a receipt for the purchase and on the receipt wrote that I had a 30 day warranty. A week later I noticed the transmission slipping and contacted him regarding the warranty he gave and he said sorry it's been over 30 days. He refused to honor it and said he was on vacation for two weeks and ignored all contact from me. (Conveniently he is on vacation for the rest of the timeframe of the warranty he gave me). He is refusing to admit he gave me a warranty at all. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HIM OR HIS SHOP. Seems all I can do is take him to court. I explained I have children and needed reliable transportation and he put me in something that will leave my kids and I stranded on the side of the road.

I picked up my Ford Sport Trac yesterday J 6/8/26. It was…read morethere for a transmission rebuild. The quote was $5000. Along the way, Bill the owner decided we needed a driveline carrier bearing. He said you can't just replace the bearing. It would require a whole new driveshaft...$800. Not true. I subsequently found out that the bearing IS replaceable. And the driveshaft when I picked up the truck was $900, not the $800 quoted. So, out the door for $6,000+. Without leaving town, after doing errands, I noticed a "kick" when shifting into Reverse. I returned to explain the symptom to Bill. He acted as if I was stupid saying, I don't understand what you mean. I had previously run into a problem with Bill as part of this transaction. He called to ask if anyone had called me. I said "no". He said my truck had been ready for pickup the previous day. He was insistent that I pick it up that day. It was already late in the afternoon on a Friday and Bill knew I lived an our and a half away. I offered to pick it up on Saturday, the next day. He said they are closed on weekends. I said I'll be there Monday. He said "will you definitely be here, cause we usually charge $20 a day for storage". I was flabbergasted but said " I'll definitely be there". Which I was. Anyway, back to the Reverse "kick" when shifting issue. One of there techs test drove it and immediately took it into the shop and put it on a lift. The owner and techs "diagnosed that the transfer case (4 wheel drive) needed a rebuild. The "chain" was sloppy. It would be another $2,000. They had just HAD the transfer case out as part of the other work. They stated it didn't occur to them that there might be anything wrong with the transfer case as part of their work. Bill said this. Bill said, because it's the transfer case, if I don't fix it, it will void my so-called 3 year 1warranty. I decided that based on my overall experience with Bill, I would not feel confident spending one more dollar with him and his business. I asked that they bring my truck out front and I left. As other reviewers have mentioned, Bill has no business working with customers. He is arrogant and treats you as if your stupid. His techs are great. But there is a real lack of communication. Nobody calls with status. I was told they weren't busy so my truck would be in and out in two days. After a week and a half, I finally called them and was told it would be ready the next day. That's when they "discovered" I would need a new driveline. Would I do business with GET IT IN GEAR again? Not as long as Bill is the owner. Not a chance. It's sad, because I was looking for a relationship. I restore vintage cars and I have other transmissions that will need work.

I can't say enough great things about Accurate Auto Care. Before moving back to Havasu, I had only ever trusted Honda in Costa Mesa to work on my car, so I'm extremely particular about who I let touch it. When my electric parking brake suddenly stopped working, I asked my stepdad for a recommendation and he pointed me to Accurate Auto Care, where a close family friend, Scott, works as a master mechanic. From the very first visit, I knew I was in good hands. Scott is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to properly diagnose and fix the issue. Jason, my service advisor, is just as amazing--always professional, communicative, and genuinely great to work with. Since that initial visit, I've continued bringing my car back for any service needs. It's hard to find a shop you can fully trust, but I feel completely confident in their work every time. They also offer courtesy vehicles and a shuttle service, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. I have waited way too long to write this review! Actually it is the first Yelp review I have ever written, hence why I waited so long. I just have to say I received superior service at Accurate Auto Care in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. I called one morning while I was out on my morning walk asking if I could possibly get my oil changed. Of course I needed it that morning as I was leaving out of town at noon. Kristin checked and told me when I finished my walk to just come on over! I did! She handled my request in such a professional manner from putting floor mats down in my car to arranging for me a ride home! When she called that it was ready (in about an hour) asked if I needed a ride back to the shop! I mentioned my key remote battery was going dead. She said let me see and fixed that also! I should've said this a few months back...Kristin is a huge asset to your company! I wouldn't be surprised if she went back there and changed my oil. Once again Chuck & his entire staff came through in a pinch and saved our vacation. The week prior to going to Lake Powell both of our Vehicles needed some major work. Not only did they get the repairs completed in a timely manner but it didn't cost us our first born!!! Kristin & Jay did a great job of getting us in. Gregg, Scott, Kyle, & Jeff did a wonderful job completing the repairs & getting us out the door. Friday, Mar 31st at 2:30pm I was heading home to OC in CA. My spark plugs went bad and i started running on 3 cylinders. The 1st and 2nd auto places I found couldn't help me until Monday. I was referred to ACCURATE AUTO and called to explain my situation. Garry told me to come right over and they would fit me in. Shop was busy but he kept his word and made sure my car got fixed before they left. People were nice, shop was clean and they were less expensive than the first two places quoted. I would recommend this shop and intend to go there for new tires when I'm in town! I even got a follow up call to make sure my drive home went smooth. After just buying a house in Lake Havasu my AC in my Honda CRV went out when it was 110. Being new in town I had no idea where to go. I called my realtor and with out hesitation she told me that Accurate Auto Care was a great honest place. She and her husband take all of their cars there and have been very happy with the service they have had for many years. I went there and they diagnosed the problem right away. They offered a loaner car for the weekend if they couldn't get parts in time. The car was ready when promised and even washed! Greg and his team were great. Accurate Auto Care saved me! I was at a coffee shop when my 4 year old rolled down his window and the regulator broke. I am a bit handy, and I thought I could fix it. I was very wrong. After several hours of trying and panicking, I started calling car shops. Nobody was able to help me in the time frame I needed. Until I called Accurate. Janet was an absolute angel! She listened to my story and found a solution. I was moving the next day, so she magically ordered the part and made sure that the car would be fixed before we were due to leave for our move. I live in lake havsu City . I own a pool and spa service and repair business here in town . Chuck at arcuate auto care has kept my truck going with no problems. Mind you I put on 40,000 miles a year. When I drive in there they get my vehicle out immediately they also give you a loaner vehicle which pays for itself alone. We all know how difficult it is to truly find an honest mechanic who can do an exceptional job. Hands-down these people are honest and truly the best mechanic shop I have ever seen. My husband and I own a 2015 Silverado. We tow our boat every summer to Lake Havasu. Last week when we arrived at the lake we were about to launch our boat and the oil pressure light came on. AAA towed the truck to Accurate Auto Care and we we lucky to have Seldon assist us. We had to leave the truck for a week for repairs and Seldon offered to meet us at the shop on his day off (and his birthday) to release the truck to us. What a great company. WOW, always impressed with all the people at Accurate Auto. Put on my Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers and Fender Flares which look awesome. Chuck highly recommended that I go with the Rocker Knockers, Never argue with an expert, Glad I listened!!! While there I got an oil change which went as smooth as silk. Plus they have a loner car, which means even though my jeep was in the shop for a day and a half. I wasn't without a vehicle. Can't beat that with a stick.
