"You are who you associate with."…read more Berkshire Hathaway was the listing agent for the condo I recently purchased. My primary concern in my home search was construction/quiet. I didn't want to hear my neighbors 24/7. Keith's associate represented the property on the two occasions I toured the condo in the three-unit building. I asked if the floors were concrete and was told yes. Unfortunately, I took the agent at his word. Mistake. I also trusted my @Property agent Martin Uthe to confirm. He didn't. Mistake. The ceiling above me is wood, not concrete, and it is not in the least bit quiet. It should have been a huge flag when Keith's associate did not know the square footage of the condo; he did not know which AC unit belonged to the condo I was looking at; and he did not know how to open the first floor balcony doors. He was what most realtors are today: part-time hobbyists. I'm going to spend several thousand soundproofing the ceiling. Keith may be as good as his other reviews purport him to be, but his associate was not knowledgeable and misrepresented the property I bought.

He suggested not putting a fence between the house "so I could retain some of the light I lost". I foolishly agreed which led to 2 large ac units being 2.5' from my many-windowed wall; this creates an echo chamber & the intermittent loud hum permeates my whole house, destroying my quality of life. I got a deflection from Steve Acoba when I reported this. The next day I found out the sale had closed & he'd washed his hands of the whole business. I've already invested a lot of money in a futile attempt to deaden the noise, and will continue to pursue that. So. I'm seriousLu of pocket, assaulted by noise every day, and having a hard time not associating my feelings of betrayal, dismissal and anger towards Steve Acoba with the new neighbors. I write this in hopes it will alert existing neighbors to be more vigilant than they might be about what could impact them, and to let buyers know they may be walking into neighbor problems they could not foresee.
