After getting married, we had outgrown our tiny one-bedroom apartment and wanted to move into…read moresomething roomier, but still within our budget. We started looking around on our own, but as prospective first-time homeowners, we were wary of potential missteps. Mike hosted an open house at one of the first properties we checked out, and although the house itself didn't turn out to be a perfect fit, Mike was. His easy, friendly manner was immediately disarming, and he quickly put to rest any fears we had that we would find our ideal house. Because short sales were so prevalent at the time, they were nearly unavoidable, but thanks to Mike's clear and honest assessments of certain properties' short sale situations vs. those of other properties, we were able to successfully bid on the house we fell in love with and save a bundle in the process. Of course, that's not to say the short sale process was, well, short. But that's par for the course, and Mike was endlessly supportive throughout. When I would get nervous that we hadn't heard a peep from the buyer's lender in a few days, I would call Mike and find out that he was already on it. When the SOLD! sign suddenly disappeared from the For Sale sign in front of our future house and I freaked out, he looked into it without making me feel like I was being totally irrational (I was). He checked in with us regularly, keeping us apprised of any recent developments, and communicating with the buyer's agent on a near-daily basis. Keep in mind, this sale took about 100 days to close, thanks to the buyer's lender (no love for BoA here), but Mike was with us the entire time. We couldn't be happier with our new house, and I'm personally thankful for all of Mike's help, thoughtfulness, and his breadth of local real estate knowledge. It was like a good friend was guiding us the whole time--to the point that now we really do consider him to be a good friend. Thanks for everything, Mike!

I thought I made a good decision to use a local Lisle realtor to A-support a local woman owned…read morebusiness and B-use someone that lived and hung their shingle in town but I should have not...at all. The initial meeting went well and then after that I was not contacted in a consistent manner and wasnt given nearly a level of service that should have occurred. The photos and listing were published without reviewing them with me and were not beneficial to the house at all. There was no follow up on the 4 interested agents that were waiting to view the house prior to it going public; which to me equates 4 possible lost sales. Emails with questions were constantly ignored, like not an acknowledged, just ignored. There was also zero follow up on the comments from agents that did go through the home. If it wasnt for offer she presented on my deadline, that was also handled terribly; DPG and Debbie would have been fired. The contract and communication were not handled adequately either but at that point, I made the decision to finalize the sale. The only thing DPG did was ignore me and cash a check. I didnt even get a thank you. No wait, after I called her out on it she forwarded me a canned text she sent my husband. Apparently gratitude is lost there. Please do yourself a favor and use an alternate agent. This is a solid truthful review with back up documentation as well.
