I will be honest. I would have rated this shop 3.5 stars if Yelp allowed it, but since it doesn't, I'm giving 4 stars. I did not want to give 3 because the customer service was truly outstanding. The main reason I deducted 1 star is because of the consultation process regarding the film shades. I focused on choosing the right type of films but I didn't realize how important the shade would be until it was too late. I was hoping for a more thorough and balanced consultation. Some of the advice I received felt a little subjective and didn't quite match my actual experience. For example, I was told that 15% on the front sides wouldn't be too dark but it turned out much darker than I expected. I was also advised that 50% on the rear might not provide enough privacy, so I chose 30%, but now I feel 50% would have been more than enough. The same goes for the windshield. When I asked about the blue tone on Llumar 80, I was told to either go with 90 or 70, so I chose 70. Later today, I saw my friend's car with 80 installed, and the blue tone was hardly noticeable. I wish I had been told that 80 is almost clear and the blue tone is not very noticeable. I was told 70% would look almost like clear glass but it doesn't look that way to me. It still looks nice but I wish I had been given more detailed guidance, especially regarding night visibility. Overall, I feel a little sad that I'm not really satisfied with the film shades I ended up with. Another thing is that after the installation I noticed some hazing on the front especially at low angles and strong glare on the rear window. My friend told me this can happen before the film fully cures, which makes sense, but it would have been very reassuring if the shop had mentioned this upfront. Lastly, my Tesla's white interior had some noticeable stains on all four door panels after the tinting. It seems the panels weren't covered during the process. Luckily, I was able to clean them with leather cleaner and a brush but I do wish more care had been taken. On the positive side: 1. The owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and even offered me a discounted price when his prices are already very competitive in OC. Really appreciate this! 2. Scheduling was amazingly fast. I contacted them on a Tuesday and they fit me in the very next morning. Awesome! 3. The entire job (windshield, all sides, and rear) was done in about an hour when I was expecting at least three hours. Amazing! The tint seems to have been applied well overall and I'll update once I see how it settles. Overall, while I am not fully satisfied with the shades I ended up with, I still appreciate the professionalism and kindness of the owner. I would definitely recommend this shop to my friends. I will just tell them to come prepared with research on the shades they want. read more
