Great selection of local ciders! I appreciate that they are open later than some other businesses on Sundays. Friendly staff as well.

This is exactly the kind of store we need on the Square in Newnan. It's got an interesting identity. They started with craft beer and wine, which they do very well. But as the store develops, they bring in items that interest me. They have brought in the full line of Traeger pellet smokers. That might interest some. But it's the support for the outdoor cooking that's surprising. They carry Rockwood Lump charcoal, which is one of the better sellers of the product. And they've recently added high-end pork and beef. I don't know anywhere else in Newnan where you can get true Prime beef or Compart/Duroc pork. At decent prices, too. Wouldn't recommend at all. The small bearded troll will a napoleon complex has a bug up his butt. Inquired about trying a beer to see if I liked it before getting a pt and apparently that triggers the Troll. So I wouldn't recommend supporting a place that can't handle a simple question that at most places won't trigger the staff and at pretty much any place wouldn't be a problem to try a beer before purchasing. read more

Very nice atmosphere as its centrally located in downtown Newnan GA. If you like beer you can tell the employees what you like and take 32 or 64 ozs of beer home to enjoy. I don't drink and went in to buy my college age brother some beer for Christmas. I walked in and knew I was out of my element. The interior of Ace Beer Growlers is exactly how I imagined such a place to be- it has this hipster (but in the cool way, not the overdone way) vibe. The historic Newnan look of exposed brick and all the other elements that make it look like the Lumineers and craft beer had a love child. And the amount of beer is wild to me. I didn't even know there could be so many varieties in one place! I walked in and immediately was greeted and asked if I needed help. I let them know did I ever. I explained the situation- frat boy brother who mainly drank the types of water beer you associate with the college frat crowd. The person helping me took control and made the best possible gift for him, a variety set of four of their on tap beers. He knew his stuff and I felt confident with the beer selections he made. The price was much less than I went in expecting- it was very affordable. Overall: great selection, wonderful staff, nice atmosphere, affordable prices. read more

Picked up some pellets for our grill today. They had an large selection of Traeger pellets and EXCELLENT customer service!

I love this locally owned store. They offer samples for a low price and local beers, wines and coffee. The staff are all very helpful and knowledgable and the prices are great for the quality of the product. Parking is city streets. They also offer a drop off for the local backpack for buddies organization( donates food to local children that go without) and a wine cork recycling area. If you have not went in here and want a local or non local beer or wine you must check out this spot read more

Excellent selection of beers on tap and bottled. I like that they carry brands local to Georgia, and even feature Newnan's own microbrewery, Abide. You can buy one of their growlers, or if you already have one from another shop, they will fill that too. I first came to this place and loved it. Friendly staff. The last time I went though I ordered a beer for my growler and we proceeded to drink it. The next day I woke up with stomach pain and threw up multiple times after having only one glass. I talked to the owner and explained everything and he made it seem like it was impossible what I went through. Then I went to smell the beer and it had a rotten yogurt smell to it. The taste wasn't very off until you hit the deep notes of the beer. I then tried to see if I could be compensated with a new brew and they told me no. I figured customer service would be a number one priority with a mom and pop type of shop but I guess I was wrong. Needless to say I will not come back which is a same because I really liked the place. They didn't even change out the beer when I went in the next day it was still on the same tap. read more

Okay... this is not a place to have a beer as advertised on the radio. You cannot drink in the store or on the patio or streets. It is take out only and you pay for the container (growler). They did not tell me this until I spent 15 bucks for a beer I could not drink and it was warm by the time we got it to the hotel room. Wasted time, money and worst of all beer... bummer. read more

Horrible place to go, not knowledgeable, unfriendly and not worth it. In addition to the beer being 5 or 10 dollars more than a normal grolwer price as observed from other competitors. If you like crappy prohibition inspired beers, those the likes of miller light and all things boring, more water than beer. Please spend $15-30 bucks here to appear classy than looking the fool going to your normal beer store. Please do waste it here. That is the impression I left with. I was trying different beers, only a teaspoon sized shared between three people, one being my father, when the employee who was previously flirting with some young thing, ignoring the fact that we had entered the store, informed us after my third choice we only are allowed three samples. There was two other people with me who may have desired to sample different choices, meaning in theory we should get nine each, not three hmmmmm. Ended up wasting 17.00 on a beer I did not want to fund service I did not like since they refused to give us another try. I am sorry, If I am downing 20 or even 36.00 for a full growler, I want to make sure I am not getting crap beer, before leaving. Even if that is the policy, please pray tell us before we start making choices and help us in a better direction. I doubt any business would like their first time customers to waste their hard earned cash on a product they are not 100% satisfied with, feeling cheated. Sadly the three samples I tried with little direction on what I may like were horrible. I felt I was being judged as a beer waster than an actual customer. It is sad to have a place like this and have employees show little to no passion for beer. It leaves no room for sales associates to point out good selections as seen in other stores. Luckily and thank heaven for that, this is not my first rodeo. The store off of Rosewell Road in Sandy Springs Called the Beer Growler is a store a true lover of beer deserves. From this experience it is more enjoyable to drive for 3hrs to get better service than wasting any more money at this local, uninspiring store. Methinks for local beer I will stick to visiting the local Taco Mac or try going to the new Gremlin Growler in Peachtree City. Maybe they will be better. read more

These guys, however, have carefully curated a collection of 30 rotating taps with a diverse and flavorful selection of malted marvelous-ness. They have also hand-picked a number of 4 pack, 6 pack, and bombers that will appeal to the frothy fan that dwells within each of us. Keep doing what you are doing so well Ace Growlers! read more

Their stainless steel growlers are the best for keeping your favorite beverage cool from the store and for reusing on other occasions. After living in San Diego for years, I've found it a bit disheartening trying to find good craft beer selections in Alabama and Georgia. It seemed like in SoCal, every convenience store had an excellent selection with new beers to try. There are some good choices brewed in the Alabama/Georgia area, and most are readily available in grocery stores. But crafts brewed out of the region are hard to come by, and a store dedicated to just good beer is even rarer. So imagine my surprise when Ace Growlers opened in Newnan, Ga (of all places). They have about 20 beers on tap that are available to take home in either 64 or 32 once growlers. IPA's are my favorite, and when at a bar I always order any one that I don't recognize the name. So it's rare that I see one that I have never heard of. I can always find something new at Ace, to include two that are some of my faves now. The prices are about right for quality brews and the guys that work there/own the place are both helpful. Samples are available before you commit to a half gallon of draft beer. They also have a great bottle and can selection. If you are in the area and you like beer, definitely check Ace out! read more

My wife and I were visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Newnan. We are considering moving there to be closer to family. One of my passions is beer! I am not a beer snob or connoisseur. I do know the tastes that I like in beer and am always up for tasting something that I have not tried before. Wow! when we went into Ace Beer Growlers I was like a kid in a candy store. So much variety. I like Porters and Stouts, IPA's not so much. My son bought a growler of Wheat beer and it was excellent. I bought a growler of a Porter. Since I don't live in Newnan, I was being stingy with my excellent Porter. One 8 oz glass per day. Now that I am back home in Florida and my growler is getting empty, I can't wait to get back to Newnan for the 4th of July and refill my growler and maybe add another one to my collection. Florida does not have growlers. Although they are trying to get them. I hope they do. As for me, Ace here I come as often as I can. What a wonderful experience. Also, I think next time I will have to try some beer ice cream as well. read more
