Great beer selections with a proper pub atmosphere. Outside set up works well. Just need some salty snacks to help you drink more

I came to Nic & Norman's on a recommendation and decided to sit at the bar, which was perfect since…read morethey serve the full menu there. It was early on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't very busy. My drink came out quickly, and the food followed not long after. I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail, which was amazing, but only if you're a mezcal fan. If you're not into that smoky flavor, this probably isn't your drink. For food, I asked the bartender what burger to get, and she recommended the classic burger with cheese, so I went with that and added sweet potato fries. The burger and fries were delicious, simple, well done, and exactly what I was hoping for. The inside has a really nice dark, rustic vibe that fits the town perfectly. Staff was friendly, and overall the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. They do take reservations, but since I went early, I didn't need one. I can definitely see this place getting packed with tourists during busier times. Overall, a great spot in a charming little town. I'd come back.

Service was great, especially for a busy weekend. Our appetizer came out pretty quick, but there was a bit of a wait for our meals. Longer than expected, which is why I feel like the food was left under a heat lamp; as my chicken was a tad on the tough side. We ordered the: Margherita flatbread Nic-N-Chicken Southern Fried Ribs Brussels sprouts Sweet potato fries Sidewinder fries Gouda grits Mashed Potatoes The flatbread was fantastic! My husband said his ribs were pretty good. The grits and mashed potatoes, both rich, thick and creamy, perfect texture and flavor on both. The side winder fries had a fun shape, and fried just right. The sauce on the Nic-N-Chicken was so good it made me forget it was overcooked. It was like a BBQ based sauce with onions and mushrooms over chicken breast The Brussels sprouts had goat cheese and normally comes with bacon, which I omitted. Loved it! The sweet potato fries were cut thick and also fried to perfection. The only down side was the overcooked chicken and the extended wait which I think led to the culinary boo boo. Over all: Great food, customer service, ambience, location! I'll definitely return, you should check em' out as well:)

It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.

The employees were so nice even though they were crazy busy! The ambience is mostly outdoors. The indoor space is very small. We have also been here when they have food trucks but you really want to focus on the drinks. That's amazing information. You don't really get that type of service nowadays overall, my partner and I really enjoy awkward brewing. Loads of green space, fire pits, but limited seating so feel free to bring a camp/lawn chair. By city regulation, limited on premise parking, but plenty of parking across the street. Easy walking distance to all popular eating spots in downtown and city center Fayetteville. Food Trucks will usually be available, but because of A&E zone you can stroll to a local restaurant with your brew. Spiked Seltzer soon to be on menu with several other brew options.
