I went to cash my FL Unemployment check. I always endorse my check when i'm going to cash it. Never knew i had to sign my check in front of the teller at a check cashing place. Been cashing check forever and this was the first time someone looked right at my check and said "Oh you have to endorse that in front of me". The manager immediatley came over pointing to a tiny lil square sticker on the glass...at the bottom. I was at the counter all of 2 minutes and was out the door. Ok fine that's your policy....cool. But how come ALL OF MY HISPANIC friends never have this problem. A friend came in a little after me with his check already endorsed and THEY GAVE HIM NO PROBLEMS. Checked his ID, glanced at the back to make sure it was signed, and went about the business at hand. We got another friend who's AFRO LATINA. The teller began to scrutinize him but as he began to speak spanish she allowed him to proceed even though he endorsed his check before coming to the window. This place applies it's policies in a racist manner. I was disgusted and i'm reporting them to the appropiate authorities in the State Of FL.
