I later learned that there was misunderstanding between myself and the sales associate I spoke to; because when the cleaning guy showed up to my condo he was only there to clean my carpet (which I don't have). After many phone calls back and forth between myself and the sales associate, the cleaning guy came back with the correct equipment to clean my condo. The machine that he used to clean my floors left a white residue which I had to reclean. He was also supposed to clean my kitchen, but I ended up doing it myself while he was outside smoking a cigarette. He attempted to clean my bathrooms, but did a very poor job. All of this work cost me $305. I ended up calling the sales associate back and complained about the poor job that was done. He really didn't seem interested in hearing about my issue and only wanted to focus on the misunderstanding about what kind of work I needed done. At one point he told me that I should be grateful that they did the cleaning at such a low cost. I then asked him if I could speak to a manager and he told me he was the manager and continued on. During the end of our conversation he mentioned his supervisor...no wonder we were having a communication problem; this guy doesn't understand that when I asked to speak to the manager, I am referring to his boss! He called me back a few minutes later and told me that they would be crediting my bill 10% (it has been over three weeks now and I still have not received this credit). I am moving to Maryland from out of state, and I came up for a week to look for rentals. On Monday, TCA showed me a lovely townhouse that I thought was perfect. I was told that if I applied, it would only take a few days to run the application and if approved, we'd be good to go. That said, I applied as soon as I got home on Monday. I then called on Wednesday to check on the application and was told that it'd probably be done by Friday or the next week. So I waited until Friday and called back, and it was only then that I was told someone else had applied and been approved. Basically, I had been waiting all week for nothing. This is frustrating because I came from out of state, and I had sort of stopped looking once I saw this place; it left me scrambling to see other places before I left. This is my fault, of course, for not taking TCA's implications (i.e., that I could sign a lease once they approved my app) with a grain of salt. That said, TCA was extremely misleading in having me think for a week that I was simply waiting for my application to be approved when in reality, someone else had already applied and was in fact approved. Not to mention the application fee (for me and my husband) was $80, which I might have thought twice about paying if I'd known someone else had already applied before me. Overall, very unprofessional interaction with them. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't do this on purpose just to get me to spend the $80 on the application fee, but I still have a very bad taste in my mouth because of all this. I would not recommend this company to any of my friends or family.
