I wish I would have read these reviews before scheduling an assessment. The afternoon woman is very…read morerude and unprofessional. Her conviction with my son, "Umm excuse me how long have you been in here. You've taken way too much time. I'm afraid I might have to have you leave the premises, this is unacceptable." I do not even want to continue, this is unbelievable to me.

Once my son became a sophmore in high…read moreschool, his high school counselor told me to line up some ACT/SAT test prep to prepare him for the exams he should take the end of his junior year/beginning of senior year. She also advised me not to take the test prep lightly and consider it a very valuable investment, in other words, don't go the cheap direction. A friend of mine used C2 and had great things to say and as it was conveniently located to us, we paid them a visit. Helen Chung was very professional as she explained the long road ahead to improve our son's middling test scores to more competitive scores. Our goal was Texas A&M, or UT, and we knew there was no way our son could get in without really good test scores. We also knew that there is plenty of free test prep material available on the web, but that our son would never make the time to study if it weren't scheduled and taught by a third party. They teach in 1hour & 50-minute long sessions, and while I don't remember how much each session costs, we bought enough for him to attend 1-2 times/week that May, 2-3 times/week over the summer months and then 1-2 times/week his fall & winter semesters of his junior year. It was expensive and it was exhausting BUT, it got him into both Texas A&M & UT. My son was not in the top quarter of his class, so we know his high test scores and strong essays made the difference. The C2 investment was worth every penny to help us reach our goal. While my son really liked all of the instructors, his favorite was Daniel. Indeed, we even used C2 to help our son write his college essays as our son is not a strong writer. It also took away the conflict that comes from us trying to guide or redirect his topics or essays. We received excellent service from the whole C2 Memorial staff and eagerly refer them to all of our friends. Like I said, it was a very long process and over the course of 15 months our son received a lot of encouragement from the staff and Helen kept us all on track if we missed too many lessons. She takes the progress of her students very seriuosly which made all the difference. It would have been pretty easy to buy all of those hours up front, and then get too busy to ever use them, but Helen is very interested in results and understands very well how important it is that the student attend on a regular basis. There are a lot of services out there, but if C2 Memorial is at all convenient to you, then you should definitley make your appointment today. You will not be disappointed.

The tutor that we both ended up having was Mark. He was really nice, smart, and had a knack of breaking down the information and making it easy to understand. Added plus, my scores and brain power are on the up-and-up in such a short amount of time! In addition, the office staff was very nice and courteous too! They put me at ease with all of the offered services and made sure everything will work out with my schedule. Note: Be prepared to budget $$$$ and give yourself plenty of time to take your final test and all of the practice tests. If I remember correctly, the tutoring company recommends 3-6 months of preparation with at least 10 (ten) scheduled practice tests. I did it in 6-weeks with 2 (two) practice tests. I don't know where they found these tutors, but they are geniuses. Super geniuses. Thanks for reading! P.S. My other friend said that he paid much more for his GMAT classes. So, in the end, I had a good deal with the 1-on-1 help.

The tutors do NOT care about the success of your child or their scores. Their first and only priority is how much they cn squeeze out of you. They are unethical. Stay away/ The friend of the director was the only 5 star review they had, not a real client. The college application process and landscape have changed so much since I was a college applicant,…read moreI wanted to make sure my son would be prepared for the challenge. I had colleges in mind for my son but I needed a third party who is familiar with the process and have resources to elevate him as a strong candidate. I also needed someone to coach him so that I end up not being a "nag" essentially. I felt confident after interviewing and researching several college application counseling services that Ivy Scholars was the one. What I liked about Ivy Scholars was their bespoke approach to coaching the candidate. It was one on one which I truly loved - Not some group in a conference room discussing your child and giving vague ideas of how to build your candidacy. I felt Ivy Scholars focused on the individual candidate. Meeting with Sasha was great, instant confidence. I reviewed his team and they were all very professional and very qualified. It offered candidacy building, test prep, and essay and application help. Everything I was looking for. I had a lot of trepidation about spending money (it is expensive, they all are) on college applications but I felt it would help my son. I needed help as a parent. Well, it was well worth it. Actually I would say Ivy Scholars helped my son beyond what I expected. Daniel Schriever was my son's weekly coach and counselor. He was patient, thoughtful, and really talented. He took the time to learn my son's personality - strengths and weaknesses. My son was not the most organized - typical teenage boy. He worked with him and learned of his passions and interests and helped him get an internship that he loved. It fit right in with his interests. He helped him connect with a research mentor (Dr Len) and he was able to submit his research for publication. As for the college application process, well, my son, out of the blue, wanted to apply to the service academies. That is a whole another beast of a process. Daniel helped with 16 college applications and three service academy applications. The essays, the college app, coached him on military panel interviews as well as congressional nomination interviews. So now we have a problem - a good problem to have, we never expected. He got accepted to UT Austin early action as an out of state applicant. They had 140,000 applicants this year - 95% deferred, and only 10% is out of state. He is a national Air Force ROTC Scholarship recipient as well as Army ROTC Scholarship recipient. He received an appointment to the United States Military Academy (West Point) with three Congressional nominations. He also got accepted to 11 other colleges of which they are rewarding him with scholarships. Thank you Dr Daniel, Sasha, Dr Len and Team

Jennifer, my mentor, provided invaluable insight, assistance, and encouragement. I am grateful and honored to have had the privilege of being in their pro bono program, Laurel Scholars, and getting to work with them. I recommend Ivy Scholars highly. Jennifer helped me make sure my personal statement articulated my journey well and was something that I was very proud of. She has been immensely supportive and by my side throughout the process--even after I submitted my applications and was waiting on decisions to be released, Jennifer checked in on me. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her and believe her counsel guided me to my acceptances. The difficulty of finding my footing after an illness-induced break in my education put me at a disadvantage that I didn't know how to overcome. Sasha and Jennifer made sure that my future would not be lost in this gap. They offered me strategies to use my story as a nontraditional applicant to my benefit and genuinely made every effort to help me. I was accepted to and will be attending Columbia University this fall and could not be more enthusiastic about the next chapter in my story.

I took the course both times with Mark Alan Robinson. Initially I was steadfast with my engineering "must-solve" mentality and didn't get out of the course as much as I potentially could have 1st time around. The second time was completely different, I took to Marks "unorthodox" approach to viewing problems and solutions to not only make the GMAT more fun, but also taught me the values that CEO's carry with them at all times, but most interestingly, these values were simple enough for a 6 year old to understand. He is very knowledgeable and is very easily accessible outside of class, especially for such a busy individual. His examples usually revolve around people or instances and these tend to stick a lot better than conventional teaching methods (for me personally at least). I highly recommend anybody looking for help with the GMAT to look out for his class. The only thing I'd say is you need to patient and buy into his methods, they may frustrate you initially, but in the longer run, are very valuable information and practices.

( V35, V36, V34, V30, V35....) My math has always been strong (47-49) but something subtle behind the way I was approaching verbal was setting me back. Mark taught me how to look at verbal like math by "decoding the matrix" and after taking 10 hours with him, I suddenly clicked. I feel that Mark's approach to teaching not only helped me look at the GMAT in a different light, but also helped by relating it to my everyday life, making it not as dull and monotonous to study. Mark is very energetic and very personable. He really dug in deep with my weaknesses and accessed how I approached the problems. Some things that he taught me are even applicable outside the GMAT. As mentioned, after I tried many resources and tutors, Mark was the one that finally unlocked my testing to V40. Highly recommend Mark Alan Robinson for private tutoring!
