This review is based on them not contacting me after I submitted a request for an estimate. Guess they don't need the work?

Holy Cow! You may want to think twice about using this company! I hired them to do a simple job. I…read moreneeded two Cat5 drops installed at my home and to mount two wireless access points. It turned out to be a fiasco! (It started on a Wednesday) He ran the drops but did not understand the instructions for using the Aruba wireless/ HPe access point mounting kits (part number: AP-220-MNT-W2W). In the process, he cut up and damaged one of the mounts as well as made over 8 screw holes in my ceiling. When he was "complete" he quickly took my check and left. Within the first hour of his departure, the AP's received power via POE, but no data. I immediately called and texted him about the issue. He assured me that he was currently going to his next job, but would return the following day (Thursday). The next morning, I texted him at around 8:30 am to confirm he would return that day to correct the cabling issues. I received a reply, that he was indeed planning on returning that day to fix things. At 2:22 pm, I once again texted him to see what the ETA was on returning. His reply was that he was finishing up a job and would text me when he was on the way. At 6:33 pm, I received no calls or texts, so I once again texted him to see if he was indeed still coming. The reply was "I'm heading to pull footage for the cops", whatever that means..... After that text, I never received a call or text again. Fast forward to Sunday, where I had to hire another cabler to come in and fix this guys shotty work. In short, he made several unnecessary holes in my ceiling, cut up and damaged an AP mount kit, and literally mis-wired the RJ-45 end connectors. He literally flipped the pinouts from left to right. In short, clearly, this guy is a jack-leg who doesn't know what he is doing with regards to Cat5 drops, RJ-45, Ethernet, and keystone connectors. He tried to take the "money and run", so I had to put a stop payment on the check.

GHS destroyed a $360 security camera during a 6 hour installation where nothing was accomplished…read more Went to mediation and agreed to a partial settlement. GHS didn't pay it. Successfully filed for default judgment. Reached out early November in hopes of getting paid something. He promises to write a check but doesn't say how much it's for. A month goes by and no check. His response was "I thought you had received it". Yeah right. Then he says he will drop it off at my house that day. Again no check. Now he's saying he didn't mail it because I wrote a bad review and if I want any money at all I have to delete the review. Wonder how many other people he's pulled this with? This man has not kept his word to me so many times I'm losing count.

I know people say this all the time but if I could give ZERO stars I would!…read more I have had this service for 3 years and all 4 of my cameras have worked properly for about 6 months of the 3 years. Sure does not make you feel safe! In addition I have called at least 4 different times to cancel and the will not let me out of my contract. They have sent technicians out 3 different times and each of those times they get the cameras back online which lasts about 3 weeks upon which they got back down. I just think is a travesty that this company can get away with robbing people monthly and not have to come through on the service contract to provide the service but I can't cancel without having to jump through hoops and paying a $2000 early termination fee to buy out equipment that does not work!!! I have AT&T at my other property and have nothing but great service and great reliability! I highly recommend! This should be illegal! I'm so mad right now. Well it just went from BAD to even worst! They scheduled a "Last Chance" resolution appointment for the second time today to see if they could get the system to work. Which likely it will work for a couple weeks and go out again as it has the last 3 other times they have sent techs out. So they just called to cancel the "last chance" appointment and rescheduled for later this week. Bet if I was a NEW customer the would have been here today to trap someone else!!!! DISGUSTING!!!!!

Great experience with Virtual Field Tech - Mr. Carlos Sotto-Alicia. This 5-star rating is based…read moreupon the service of Mr. Sotto-Alicia and not representative of how happy or not-so-happy I am with Vivint as a home security provider. In 2018, I signed up for Vivint Security Alarm from my previous reputable name company security provider that mostly provides wired security devices and sensors. The original Vivint installer back in 2018 did a very sloppy job and decided to bundle 9 window sensors consisting of an office, dining room, living room, breakfast nook, and utility-laundry room into one zone. The Vivint installer also bundled 4 doors as a single zone consisting of the main door, 2 garage doors that open into different house areas, and a backyard door. He also cut a few wired connection that caused us to lose our pre-wired video camera with intercom. At least the lazy installer managed to get a few zones right such as the master's bedroom, 2nd-floor window, and the other auxiliary sensors (glass break, motion detector, heat/smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detectors). Long story short, because of the original installer's ineptitude, every time we receive an alarm, we can't pinpoint the possible intrusion or false alarm failure point. We have had an increasing number of false alarms recently even if all doors and windows are secured it will just randomly sound an alarm sometimes at 2 am or late at night while we are sleeping. Because of the faulty zoning, we were unable to pinpoint which sensor is bad. You can in principle replace all sensors to fix the issue but a very expensive proposition plus not fixing the issue of finding out a possible security threat area. I called Vivint many times and tried to schedule a visit since 2018 and all the time they just give me a runaround or will charge a hefty tech visit to fix an issue that they caused. It was not until Sept 1, 2024, after more calls to Vivint (the first Call center Rep was useless) to seek assistance to resolve the issue was I finally directed by a second Rep to Mr. Sotto-Alicia who provided a great step-by-step video tutorial to correct the improper installation of the original Vivint installer. Mr. Sotto-Alicia was very patient in showing me how to isolate specific wired sensors and walked me through in isolating them and assigning them their correct zones. All said and done, he was able to assist in separating the living room windows, utility-laundry room window, office windows, living room windows, front door and back door. Now my home alarm are properly zoned with 8 zones plus the other wireless sensors. Mr. Carlos Sotto-Alicia with his patience fixed what many of his peers and colleagues failed to do in 6 years! I am glad I came across Mr. Sotto-Alicia who finally provided a reasonable resolution to an issue my family had to go through for the past 6 years. This man needs a raise and will do Vivint a favor by training the other techs and support team who seem to have a "no-can't do" culture.
