All I can say is WOW! The guys saved my life! Last night the smoke detectors started to chirp as I went to bed, driving me and my dogs crazy! So bad that we had to find a hotel. So I got back home this morning and found the detectors silent but that concerned me. Now my batteries are changed 2x a year and had just been changed. I was told about wired systems with a battery that can last 10 years. I spoke the the Fireman about that. He said the old ones may have dirty sensors & shared how to fix that. Suggested I change the batteries on the old device while I decide about the long term detectors which are lost more expensive. I called RHK Electrical and Randal picked right up! I have a 262 area code on my cell & nobody picks up. Randal took his time explaining the system and how it needs to connect to my excising system. We set it up that when he got back to the office we would schedule something later this week. Soooo I went and bought the detectors...all happy...until I got home detectors going off...dogs going crazy & Im about to crack from no sleep at the hotel. Our house went on the frits one afternoon with blinking lights, some things working/some things not...it was very weird! Called the service provider to come take a look and turns out one of our service line legs completely failed near the ground transformer so we only had half power. They said an electrician needs to replace the entire line which meant from the transformer to our meter. Few of my neighbors highly recommended RHK Electrical from past jobs so I called them late in the evening leaving a voicemail and fully expected to get a call back first thing next day however they called back shortly after! We reviewed a handful of requirements that would be needed to understand material cost and they came out first thing next day to finalize quote with material + labor. Very open and transparent with all information including steps needed to coordinate with service provider! I needed a few things done to my 35 year old house (new wiring that was popping in the garage, new GFCI outlets installed, ceiling fan fixed, outside receptacle installed, and two bathroom vanity lights put in. They do not give estimates over the phone (makes sense) and came the next day to assess what needed to be done. Randall came and met with my husband and we agreed on a price, which was very reasonable. They were here two days later to do the work. I must say...they are awesome! All three guys (Randall , Jacob, and Hayden) were quick, efficient, and mannerable). I was beyond satisfied with their professionalism. Any issues that arose, they had suggestions on how to solve. They showed up 15 mins before appointment time, were very nice, and knew exactly what they're doing and had the job done in a timely manner. HONEST, FAST, FAIR, DEPENDABLE! I contacted Randall with RHK Electrical because 1/2 the house was without power. Within an hour he was here. After checking checking out the system, he quickly determined that one of the 2 line drops going to the box was only providing about 5% of the electricity from Centerpoint that it was supposed to. He explained to me what I need to do and what to expect next and from Centerpoint. Randall kept in touch with me the whole time and was able to come back out and replace my drop immediately after the 811 people marked the lines. I have had Randal and his crew come out twice now to install ceiling fans. He and his crew informed me that the previous (old) fans were installed incorrectly, and quite honestly, dangerously. I was really glad that he told me this because I would never have known. He is back again today installing brand new Hunter fans to replace the old ones. He shows up on time and he and his team is very professional and courteous. Best of all, you don't have to wait very long for him to see you. I sent him an email request on a Thursday and he was here Monday morning to install the fans - awesome! I bought a house that had 20ft ceilings and needed a ceiling fan installed. Unfortunately, my ladder was only 6ft. Even if I had a 15ft ladder, I doubt I could have done it safely. I called around and read a lot of reviews. The prices were all over the place. One guy even told me they needed scaffolding. The price would be $500, plus their $250 install fee. I'm not a genius, but that price didn't smell right. Luckily for me, Randall called me back. Upon telling him my situation, he gave me a flat price. Assured me that my floors would be safe and told me I didn't need scaffolding. I can't thank him enough. His candor speaks volumes about his character. I wish all vendors were like him. I lost power to one room in my house; and my electrical repair knowledge was limited to flipping the breaker back and forth (which didn't work). I scheduled with Randall for an electrician to come to the house to investigate. Randall's employee showed up on time; and had a friendly attitude. He listened to my background history of the problem, and then investigated thoroughly. The problem turned out to be a loose wire in one of my plugs, which was an easy repair. After looking around on Yelp I decided to get a quote from RHK. They called me back very promptly and scheduled a visit. Despite some scheduling setbacks on my end they were very flexible and accommodated my rescheduling without as much as a sigh or groan. RHK was extremely professional, got the issue resolved very quickly and without using much of my time. To my surprise the total on the fix was very affordable. During a very bad stormy weekend we had a breaker go out, or so we thought, we tried everything to get it to reset and it wouldn't. We called RHK on Friday morning when the rest of the town was shut down and the hey promptly answered the phone and offered to help us out. Within two hours they called back and said they were on their way. They showed up only to flip a switch because we had not waited long enough for the breaker to reset. Ricky showed up promptly and on time. In 95 degree heat, had his mask on to come in to assess the job. Long story short, after carrying his oversized, heavy ladder and equipment into the home, climbing up to inspect a 30 foot ceiling electrical, recessed light. Came back down and advised it was only a bent connector and there would be no charge. You do not find honest work like this these days.
