I drove past Brix Mansion probably a hundred times before I actually stopped to look at it properly…read moreand I'm annoyed it took me that long. this building is stunning. built in 1889 and it still commands the whole block on Fresno Street. the architecture is the kind you just don't see anymore, ornate, detailed, genuinely grand. standing in front of it you get this weird feeling like you accidentally walked into a different century. it's on the National Register of Historic Places which it absolutely deserves. Fresno has more history than people give it credit for and Brix Mansion is one of the best physical reminders of that. if you're into architecture, local history, or just beautiful old buildings it's worth a deliberate visit not just a drive by. bring your camera because the photos basically take themselves. it's the kind of thing that makes you proud your city has preserved it and also a little sad most locals probably don't know its there. now you do. go look at it.

However the exterior of the house really is something to see and take plenty of picture off. Plus if you do visit this building, it wont be the only thing on your list to visit because 1 block away is the St John Cathedral and also the Meux mansion. There is no parking around its since its really close to the community hospital, I would suggest parking on R street near the church and take the opportunity to appreciate and take pictures of this architecture marvel. It looks like something that should be in Hollywood to be honest. most people in Fresno can pass it without even knowing that they have this beautiful building. If you must know the building was constructed for Herman H. and Helena S. Brix in 1910-1911. Herman H. Brix made a pioneering contribution to the development of Coalinga and was influential in the commercial expansion of Fresno. In addition to its historical associations, the Brix Mansion possesses considerable architectural significance. Designed by architect Edward T. Foulkes, it represents a brilliant example of a period-inspired Italian Villa, the only residence in Fresno built in this lavishly-embellished style. Trains are fairly clean with a free snack station, free sodas and water bottles, water bottle refill station and bathrooms. Seats are comfortable with tables. The train station from the parking lot is super close and convenient. But with my experience, the trains I take they are always running late.

There were barely anyone on coach on a Thursday evening so I sat at a table watched Netflix. My train car barely had anyone in it and was extremely clean. The restroom on the train was clean and spacious. Better than an airplane restroom. It was delayed on the way to Bakersfield, but not too long. Ride was a little rocky, but better than a plane.

I went to Bullard High and would always walk here with my friends after school. Over the years, things have changed a bit, but not for the worse. I frequent Wholefoods and La Boulangerie. Love that Anthropologie was added in the recent years- fits the demographic more than when it was at Fashion Fair. They had a juicery but recently replaced it with Wetezel Pretzel. Uncle Harry's is also back in the mix! Not sure why they ever left this shopping center. There is a little bit of everything here from Sushi to burgers, sandwiches, cookies, ice cream, pizza, brewery, etc. Some things I would love to see added one day: Froyo, North Face, Kate Spade, Free people, crate and barrel, club Monaco or even Zara would be nice. =)

I asked the salesperson about it and she said "Oh, that is just the stuff that didn't sell at the last sale and we are just trying to get rid of it". I was shocked that that was all they had to offer. What a total joke of a sale it was. I will now go to another Bath and Body Works store to see if they have the same rinky-dink 75% off sale or if it's a "Real" Sale. What's up with this?

The air conditioning in this library is better than the air conditioning in my own house. It's very quiet inside, and staff is friendly. I needed a new library card (lost mine) and we got that situated in about 5 minutes! Printers only take silver coins, so make sure you have those on hand. There are also quite a few people facing homelessness that stay inside for long periods of time, but everything is still really quiet and peaceful. There is always a security guard at the front door.

This mall offers a wide variety of stores, a huge food court with diverse dining opportunities. We stopped by Miniso because Tanya was in search of BTB2 toys. As they were shopping in Miniso, I walked the area of the mall that contains Macy's and JC Pennys. Amongst, several other name brand stores. I stopped by one of the Pagoda jewelry kiosks. The 10kt gold hoops were calling my name but I didn't make a purchase. The sales associate wasn't pushy or rude. I really appreciated that. I walked into a few more stores. Forever 21, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, & Ulta Beauty. The food court offers Hammy's Smash Burgers, BJ's Restaurant, Wetzel's Pretzel's, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Baskin Robins & Lot's of Boba spots. This is just to name a few. You could actually spend a few hours here and loose track of time. I'll definitely be back in soon.

My son and I were both ecstatic to see a pop mart robo shop. Picking a toy and paying was really easy. My son was so happy when the box made its way out. We will definitely be back to the mall more often to buy toys from here.
