Price is now $15 for 2 hours, $20 for 10 hours, $30 overnight. Damn, parking in Downtown SD has just got a lot more expensive.

So, this is my second time in the past couple months parking at the 6th & K Parkade. It was the…read morerecommended parking garage for a couple of recent Yelp events. With meters allowing for only to hours until 8PM, I chose to park in a garage so I could relax and take my time. Both times, the parking garage was within blocks of my destination. It is very close to Petco Park, so the parking availability and parking rates really depend on what is happening downtown. If there had been a Padres game, I'm sure I would not have parked there The first time, it cost $2 per hour. The second time was $1.50 per hour. The rates are listed on the sign outside before you enter the garage. I imagine it was slightly cheaper the second time because it was a quiet night without a lot going on. This parking lot is relatively clean, compared to others nearby. I ran into a staff member sweeping the stairwells when I cam to get my car around 9 PM. Both times, staff were there helping me to use the card reader on my way out. I will say, I am a very independent person, but parking garages, especially on quiet nights are not the safest. I remember feeling a bit isolated and had wished I had taken my firiend's offer to walk me to my car. This is not a dig on this parkade, as they have more staff than most parking garages, but just a reminder that for anyone walking alone to take great caution when walking through a deserted parking garage. All in all, as long as it is not a busy night downtown, prices at this parking garage are reasonable. It is in a great location, close to many bars and restaurants.

I have parked here in the past and had nothing bad to say. I wish I could say that again. The lot…read moreis the closest and most convenient to Petco. We purchased our parking ticket over a month in advance. Upon arrival, we were told they regularly oversell parking spaces and there was no room available to park. They refer you to neighboring lots, but those lots were also full and the traffic is so locked up you just sit for long periods of time burning up your entire gas tank. As a result of the mess, we missed the first half hour of our show at the Shell. On the first pass, the driveway was blocked off and an employee waved us off, yelled follow that car (in front of us), and just walked away, refusing to explain the situation to us. We thought we were at the wrong entrance. Because of the large crowds for both Petco and the Shell that night, the traffic was excessive and parking was full at most lots. DO NOT assume because you purchased a parking space you will be able to use it! Also, do not expect a refund on site. They refer you to their website. Ace parking has no care for keeping their word and contractual obligation for paid spaces. They should be shut down. They actually sell spaces they have no intention of providing. Who does business this way? I smell legal action in their future.

I live right next to this establishment. And let me tell you, the view from my bedroom window down into this lot, is for PRIME people watching. Now, being that I live downtown, I understand the importance of being quite when I leave places if it's past 11pm. Some people go to bed at reasonable times, and I don't want to interrupt their deep sleep. For me on the other hand, I don't mind the noise all that much. It's not keeping me from sleeping, because I usually get the majority of my work, done from the hours of 11pm to 4am, so I'm up anyways. But I feel that this parking lot, brings out the worst of downtown. Some of my neighbors don't take the noise so lightly. A few weeks ago, around 3am a lady yelled down to ask a group of men to be a little quieter, and how did they respond? They threw a huge rock straight into her window. It's gotten to the point, where I am down for a little sling shot through the window, or water balloons from the roof. I don't mind the kids hanging out in the lot, but when it's 2am and you got two gold cars with butterfly doors, bumping "stanky leg" for half hour straight while ghost riding the whip, (not an exaggeration) something has to be done, right?

This place is expensive. 15 dollars a day. If you are going on a cruise ship choose another place…read more There are lots nearby that service the airport that will let you park your car there and then they will shuttle you to the cruise ship terminal. Around 8 to 10 dollars a day. Security is minimal. Fences, lights. Good luck!
