I'm a bit surprised that I haven't yet left a review for Park-it-on-Market, as it is one of the less expensive parking options downtown for a long time. I have been parking there on and off for years. periodically for many years. It takes you very close to many of the restaurants in the Gaslamp. The price changes depending on the events downtown, but, if it is quieter time, you can park all evening for $5. Most recently, I parked there for a Yelp event. I parked there knowing that we could be parked for several hours for only $5. It was really convenient, just a few blocks away for the venue. You use your credit card to get both in and out. On one hand, it feels a bit intrusive to use your card that way, but, on the other hand, it takes away the chance that you might lose your ticket resulting in paying more. I did find it a bit littered when I was there, which was surprising, as it wasn't a very busy evening. However, I would still continue to park there to get parking for reasonable prices. read more

If you are needing to go downtown for anything really this is a great central location to park in and for a cheap price. There are so many lots in downtown but this one feels secure and easy to get to no matter where you are headed. If it is for a padres game plan ahead because it will fill up quickly but it is worth it to book in advance as well. read more

I always disliked the parking in Downtown San Diego l but this is probably one of the most convenient parking lots to park your car for a lovely evening out! FYI: this is your spot to park overnight if you're staying at the StayPineapple hotel (about a block away). It's pretty easy to pre-purchase parking online and then you just scan your QR code when you enter. It seemed pretty secure although there didn't seem to be security staff on site (at least not when I entered). read more

Good location . This parking scrcture is located on Market St. inthe Gas Lamp district. If your attending a game at th stadium or partying at a local bar/pub this is a good place to leave your car overnight. I stayed at the Pineapple hotel so it was a few blocks; However, I had 2 luggages and had to shlepp it up and down curbs to get there. In addition I saw another parking that was across the street from my hotel, thatwas literally 1 min vs. 12-15min walk to my hotel. Anyway there was lots of kighting and I did get parking right at the entrance which was good so the attendants coud watch my rental. There are several websites that you can book through and obtain a QR code before parking. read more

One of the most reliable and cost-effective parking structures in downtown San Diego. I've never had any issues here aside from the usual mass exodus after a game or major downtown event. I highly recommend his parking garage. Security presence and decent pricing. Centrally located in the downtown area within walking distance to everything Gaslamp. Park it on market is gated with several levels and elevator. Friendly and helpful attendant! Just use caution when choosing parking in this district. Padre game or downtown this is a good location and secure to leave your car. When buying parking for padres don't put in that you're going to the game because they always charge you more to do so. Get parking as early as you can on SpotHero. The big minus is that the stairwells can wreak as the homeless use it as their bathroom stop and that's why not a better rating. read more

Horrible experience parking here. First they oversold the parking garage. Even though we had reservations there were more cars seeking spots than were available. Ended up double parking at the end of a row on the rooftop deck along with a couple other cars doing same. Upon exiting it took over 1 1/2 hours to exit the garage due to only one exit open (eventually opened a second one) and the street gridlock caused by the huge wrestling event at Petco Park concluding at the same time. Strongly recommend you take the SD Trolley to the Gaslamp district whenever there's a big event there too. read more

Kind of dingy but cheaper than hotel parking overnight. Elevators don't work so you need to use stairs.

Took well over an hour to exit garage (about 70mins) Had prepaid reservation but there were no spaces again entire garage after circling all floors. Ended up double parking on the roof level but out of the way at the end of a row. Will NEVER use that or any of the high rise garages near GasTown district in SD. Save the trouble. Found this place to park our vehicle while in the Gas Lamp Quarter San Diego. The place is pretty centralized and easy to get to, once you realize the instructions to enter off 6th is wrong and you actually enter on 7th. The only other issue is the fact they only let you enter once per day, as there is no enter and exit privileges. Our flight arrived late and we didn't drive in until the next day, which caused an issue when exiting to go somewhere later in the day and we had to be scanned in. Otherwise, it seems like a good place to leave the vehicle. read more

San Diego Gaslamp district is weird. It's one of the only places I know where it can cost more to park your car, rather than stay in a hotel. This isn't a reflection on park it on market, which I was reallllllly grateful to have found. Parking was only 25 bucks or so for the 24 hours I was there, rather than the 60 that the valet cost at a nearby hotel. With that, it's a great spot to park. I feel bad letting out the secret, but I don't see myself in SD all that often anyways. Recommended! read more

So I was booking a hotel in Gaslamp District and realized all the parking for the hotels range from $40-$65 dollars a night . The hotel I had booked was $65 a night . Everything is walking distance there so I did my research I found Park -it- on- Market parking garage which is huge . I only paid $20 a night to park my car here . I was here a few days and my car was safe . I pulled up to the hotel checked in left my luggage so I don't carry anything while I walk and then I parked and walked 2 mins to my hotel . It was very convenient for me and I got to save money . I would park my car here again in the future . read more

I was staying at a hotel nearby and they were going to be charging ridiculously parking for $65 a night. Found this parking lot, I would leave my car overnight pick it up in the morning to go out and the entire parking stay from Friday to Tuesday came up to $69. They have staff sitting by the exit in case anybody needs help. Definitely ease my mind and would recommend parking here if you're going to be in downtown. read more

Park it on Market was a huge cost savings compared to the hotel parking cost of $40+/day. The reservation process was much more affordable. The parking attendant Alfred was incredibly kind and helpful when I needed help scanning my reservation (user error) not related to the app or process which is very straightforward. Highly recommend as the parking space is clean, well lit, and the spaces were much bigger than the hotel option. read more

SCAMMERS. I went in, asked a dude if I can get in just for 3 hours, since I had a gig. He let me go with the regular rate. When I was leaving after 3 hours, I was stopped and they told me to pay $30 with some lady on the phone. the machine was showing $5 but they wanted to scan the ticket and came up to $30 that the dude didn't inform me about, otherwise I wouldn't park there. Parked here starting 1:54 on Dec. 31st for Proper NYE. From 1:54-midnight was event parking so we had to pay $15 but we were able to leave our car overnight until we left on Jan 2 at 10:45am. No hassle, car looked fine and best part was the PRICE! We only paid $38 for the remaining time. Best parking garage in San Diego in my opinion! read more

This place the manager Ben is dishonest. I parked here for 20 minutes before 5PM. I was supposed to pay $1. Ben was standing at the exit and "accidentally" swiped my credit card for $11. I showed him the entry time on the ticket and pointed to the clock and asked why was it $11 instead of $1. He said "Oh sorry, email me here and I will fix it". That was nearly two months ago. I emailed him multiple times and no response. I called and asked to speak with him and the person who answered refused to transfer the phone to him promising he would fix it. It was all lies. In the end I had to report it to my credit card company. I can't recommend a business that commits fraud. read more

Best parking lot in Downtown San Diego. Any time I am downtown and need a place to park, I always park here if there is availability. Great spot to park if attending a baseball game. Within walking distance to Petco Park, Balboa Theatre and Convention Center. I feel very comfortable leaving my car as the lot is well kept; every floor is well lit. Prices fluctuate given the events that are occurring that day/night and whether it is during the week or on the weekend. The easiest way to enter the structure is head west on Market, turn right onto 7th Avenue and immediately get in your left lane as you will make a quick left into the parking lot. read more

A great parking structure! My bf parked his car here for over 2 days and everything was fine! We did check once during that period and everything seemed to be in order. They have people on duty at the structure and its well lit on the inside We paid around $32 for a little over 2 days. $15 for every 24 hours. The meter was only for credit card use. Plus it was not working. So I tried many times without success. Fortunately, an assistant was willing to help but since the time was money, literally, it increased by one dollar more when I finally paid my dues. I know a dollar is not a big deal for me, but if there are 50 people who had the same experience, it's $50 already and it multiplies by 30 days... Enfin bref, they refused to give me a dollar discount and i got frustrated and told them I was going to write a bad review.
