Ace Washer Supply had been my go to for appliance repairs for years and I had generally had good relations with them and the service people. We had the service person out several times for the same problem, it would work for a while then the same problem would return. This time, I explained that our ice maker was having a similar problem and we had asked about where a switch was located. They made us an appointment and when the service person arrived it took a whole 5 mins or less to flip the switch. And charged 150.00. One of the owners became very rude and accused me of calling him a liar which I did not. He said his service man would not have done that either. He ended the call and said he would not work on our ice maker. Fortunately I was able to find another local appliance repair company with wonderful results, much better customer service. and great reviews. read more

I called Ace for my washer on 3/5/25 when it wouldn't agitate. Technician Josh who came out was very rude & at first tried saying nothing was wrong. I MADE him stay until I loaded the washer with some items & had it fill up. Obviously there was a problem which he diagnosed as a bad hub. On 3/10/25 they came back out to install the "hub" that was supposed to be wrong with it. Today (4/30/25) my washer is not working again & you can tell from the noise it has to do with the hub/agitator. I called to request service believing it should be covered by warranty & asked for a different service person than who came out the first time. The lady put me on hold then gets back on saying that the tech told me when he was out that there was a problem with the washer spindle. I was NEVER told this during either visit & there is no notation of this on my paperwork. I told her he never said this & she put him on the phone. Josh gets on the phone being extremely rude & flat out lying... claiming on one hand he doesn't really remember the service call but on the other saying he told me my spindle was worn out. He was extremely rude & combatative on the phone, besides lying about the spindle. He also said that if it was broke then it's because I overloaded it. Why would I pay $250 for a repair in March that wasn't going to fix my issue & would leave the spindle bad? Beyond that, I have a like new washer in my detached garage that I could have just swapped out if needed. Aces billing practices are also suspect. I was charged a $99 service fee to come out plus being charged service time to try & figure out what the problem is (a service charge typically is what's charged to come out & diagnose your problem). Once my part came in I was charged for the part & once again for the supposed time to install (even though the washer was left disassembled on 3/5/25) the new part. I paid them $250 for a faulty diagnosis&/or repair that only lasted 50 days & the part itself only cost $39. Pretty sad when a business won't warranty their work for more than 50 days & allows their tech to speak rudely to a customer on the phone & flat out lie to them. Well when we called they said they didn't service that stove. BUT YOU SOLD IT TO US!! Do not trust them. They can't be trusted for what they say. The younger sales reps are easy to work with. The older gentleman is terrible at customer service. Grumped at me because I opened a part that had been wrong before to verify. It was the wrong part again so good thing I looked. He didn't have time to return the wrong part I paid for for weeks earlier. I found the correct part online in their parking lot. I'm a local business owner with 53 rental units in town. I typically like to support local business but not when it isn't in return. A service tech looked at my dryer on Wednesday, said he'd need to have a part ordered that should be in today (Friday). I called today (Friday) to follow up, and was told the part was back-ordered until the 28th, meaning I'd be without a working dryer for two weeks. Nobody bothered to inform me of the delay, and I probably wouldn't have found out if I hadn't called. This isn't the way to do business. read more

I waited two weeks for a part for the tech to come back and admit he was wrong. Replaced another part that day, 10 minutes later the dryer no longer worked. I called several times and was given consistently higher prices than when my dad called because he knew I was being treated unfairly. Ironically, the price was reduced by over 50% when they spoke to a male. I was going to be required to pay for the techs time AGAIN, despite him already being wrong twice. My phone number AND address were both entered wrong, despite me telling the same tech my exact phone number; the last time the man showed up and rudely proclaimed he had been calling all day with no answer, he pompously told me the wrong phone number he had been calling as if it were my fault. Every single associate I spoke with on the phone was rude and refused to acknowledge that their tech made multiple errors. I was out of a dryer from first DOS 11/23 until my dad physically took it to Ace on 12/21. Literally would not recommend to my worst enemy. Rude, poorly trained, inconsistent pricing, clearly condescending to women, and show up without calling. I'd rather hang my clothes to dry than ever deal with this place again. read more

I phoned a few months ago checking for availability and prices for dryer sensors for my Whirlpool dryer. Spoke to a young woman who was VERY knowledgeable and efficient. Filed that information for a time when we would be back in town. Phoned last week, spoke with a male who said he couldn't find such a thing. But be patient since he was "old". Gave up. Tried again today. Told male who answered the phone that the owner's manual said to replace the sensors periodically. He said he had never heard of such a thing. So much for shopping locally. Thirty years ago I purchased all my home appliances through Ace and was VERY impressed with their prices and service. On February 22, 2021, I ordered a new washer and dryer, and was told it would be a few weeks. Maybe three weeks later I checked and they were not in yet. Two weeks ago I called again and was GRUFFLY told the washer/dryer was not in yet, and if I could find the same items I ordered they would refund my money and they hung up. Yesterday I was in another store in Terre Haute and found the washer and dryer in stock. I promptly went to Ace and told them only that "I am here for a refund". They wrote me out a check, never asked a question, and never said a word of apology as I walked out the door. It makes me wonder how much longer they were going to USE MY MONEY without delivering the product. In over two months I was never contacted by Ace. This is VERY POOR SERVICE in my opinion. read more

If you work on and repair washers, how do you not know what a part that goes to a washing machine is? I got NO help from them and had to buy a new washer from another store. read more

So impressed with this place! I came in with a broken dryer piece and had forgotten to bring my model #. The men working the desk quickly located the piece I needed and it was super affordable! They even got the wire to the piece back to working order, told me why the part broke and how to avoid it and the future and helped me figure out what else I needed( connectors to the wires- Lowes). They were quick, friendly and efficient. I did not feel like I was hassled or ripped off which can happen easily. They definitely will get more business from me! Our dryer quit working last week and we went through an online troubleshooter, which showed a bad thermistor. Easy fix. I called Ace washer and was told they had one left and they would put my name on it for pick-up. After driving 60 miles the salesman said they didn't have the part in stock, and wanted to check the old part which we had brought in. He said he thought it was good and wanted 40.00 to diagnose the problem, if I was to bring the dryer in.. I told them I just wanted the part that was supposed to be on hold for me. He told me he made a mistake, but could order one for me for 35.00. When we told him we would order one online, he got mad and threw the part at us and stomped off muttering. We ordered the part online for 14.99 with free shipping, installed it and the dryer came right on! Easy fix! read more

I was quoted a price to fix my washer, I brought to store on a Friday, told would be done by Tuesday. The service manager Deven, called me Wednesday, highly unprofessional while conversing with me. Cursed at me on the phone while instructing me on a new quote. I spoke to Courtney, sister of Deven, another manager and was again given excuses of why my washing machine was yet to be fixed. I was able to get my $45.00 back which they charge just to place a finger on the machine besides $100.00 to fix besides parts. The lack of professionalism and customer service was unbelievable. I will NEVER shop at this establishment again! I had an issue with my oven and believed the element was out, I wanted to patron at a local business, so I went to Ace Washer. The gentleman that helped me was really nice and seemed really helpful. He gave me the part I needed and told me if I had ANY issues to come back and see him and it would be taken care of. I replaced the element, only to have my oven still unusable. I attempted to return the element to receive my $50 back, only to be told I can ONLY have store credit, which was NOT what I was told on the original visit. I was then told that I should have just had my old element tested, WHICH WAS NEVER MENTIONED!!! How do I know that is even possible?! When I mention this, the same gentleman that helped originally tells me he doesn't always mention that, well of course not, then how could you rip someone off for $50 for a part you paid MAYBE $10. My grandma has already said she will be helping me buy a new oven, but guess who it won't be from, a company that has to LIE to make a sale. I'm a young, single mother and full time biochemistry student, $50 is a lot of money to me. I've learned a very valuable lesson. That I should have bought the same exact part off of Amazon for only $20. Lesson learned, thanks Ace Washer!! I hope you enjoy your $40 of profit, I'll be sure to mention to my daughter how she couldn't go on her school field trip because you guys needed the money more.
