1-Star Review: Poor Quality and Terrible Service I purchased an 18 cu ft freezer from Appliance Factory on Oct 3 and had two damaged units delivered -- one with an electrical burn and another with dents. After rejecting both, I was told my refund would take three days, but it took nearly a month and multiple calls and visits to get my money back. The sales rep who was also the manager disclosed that their items are "slightly damaged," over the phone, which was never disclosed before purchase. Problem with mattress. Paid $1700 for a mattress 1and1/2 years ago now a spring is bulging out on side. Probably sleeping on the couch tonight. Complained to them and it took a month to get a 1-800 number to the factory. They informed me that the stores handle warranty issues. I wish I could give negative stars. We had an issue with a range that caused some frustration. It took a while to get a technician to our home due to a change of service coverage. The issue was resolved by a great young man who took the time to listen and respectfully explained the cause and cure of the issue. While I was frustrated during the attempt to solve our delimma the company hired a young man that they need to keep. I'm totally happy to give 4 stars and highly recommend as a place to buy your next appliance. Don't make the mistake I made! On July 23, 2022, I choose Appliance Factory in Terre Haute Indiana to buy a Frigidaire Freezer and Refrigerator. The freezer was dented and banged up in the back. The compressor wasn't damage, and the freezer works. I decided not to complain, the price was good. However, the refrigerator is a different story, it must have been dropped out of a truck before it was brought to our house in Illinois., The delivery people brought it in, and left quick... The handle for the refrigerator door wasn't there. I called and was told they would mail it out that day. I finally received the handle October 29 2022. I bought the warranty and the company they have is Brand Source.. The manager overcharged me $200 for that. I tried for weeks to get my money refunded and they would put me on hold and then hang up.. I ended up getting the phone number of the district manager in Ohio and he did refund the $200, but it took 3 months for him to do it. The refrigerator wasn't right, it ran all the time, the freezer part had icicles hanging and the ice would be over 3 in thick. Finally was able to get the Brand Source Warranty to answer the email and phone calls That only took one year and 1 month. Jeannie's Appliance Repair in Terre Haute Indiana handles the Brand Source Warranty and they also handle other companies too. They called me and scheduled the repairman to come and decide what is needed for the refrigerator. It should have been removed and a new refrigerator sent but the warranty company chose to send new seals for refrigerator and freezer. On September 21st 2023, The repairman was able to get the doors adjusted and new seals on... I needed to leave it off for another 24hrs so seal glue could dry.. I plugged it back in on September 23.2023 So It only took 1 yr and exactly 2 months to finally be finished with Appliance Factory. I have 3 yrs left on Warranty. I know Jeannies will take care of anything I may need if any. read more

So my grandmother went here an purchased a new washer, dryer, dishwasher an refrigerator on January 12th 4,200$! We had delivery scheduled for washer dryer an dishwasher last Tuesday Jan 23rd we waited around all day nothing came, so we finally call and we are told I don't know why it says today because we only Deliver to Sullivan on Wednesdays. So the next day delivery shows up WITHOUT THE DISHWASHER! So I call the gentlemen tells me it's been scanned out and on the truck, I said well your people are literally here an they don't have it! He goes to look in the back they didn't load it on the truck! He tells me someone will bring it down and they did. Now fast forward to a week later when the refrigerator is suppose to be delivered, we expect it today Wednesday cause that's the day they deliver to our area. NOTHING COMES! So I call and yes at this point I'm very angry, 3 HUGE mistakes in 7 days! I inform the manager of the issue, and he keeps trying to cut me off! I tell him I'm talking do not interrupt me, HE HANGS UP ON ME! So I call back instantly! Get him back on the phone, all he does is blame his sales people for all off the issues, then informs me THAT THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE REFRIGERATOR! Tells me he can refund the delivery fee, of which is only 35$ I tell him that's not good enough. He tells me the refrigerator is suppose to be here Friday the February 2nd, an then informs me it won't be delivered till the Following Wednesday! I said Umm No the other fridge has already been moved to the garage! He tells me that's my option. Nothing resolved nothing taken care of! Not really even an apology! Worst customer service I have ever had. Update as of February 2nd the refrigerator still is not in the store! We are now being told that it won't even be to there Hub till Feb 15th so over a month since she ordered it! She then told them to cancel the order a she wants a refund! They have tried to give her the run around, and say they have to see if it's at there Cincinnati hub or not, even though 10min before this call they told us it wouldn't be till February 15th. After I made another call, they finally decided to give her a refund! SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND HEADACHE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!' Initial experience was good, easily found a refrigerator that met our needs for a good price. Come delivery day, it turns out it was a smidge too deep to get through our interior doors. That's on me for not triple checking - HOWEVER, then I discovered that refunds can only be done with manager approval and come with a restocking fee of up to FIFTY percent. Yes, that's 5-0, 50 percent. Mind you, the fridge had never even left the truck. I had not been informed of the restocking fee prior to purchase (there is a place on the receipt for me to checkmark and sign that I acknowledge it - but mine is not signed because no one had explained it) and if I had been, I likely would not have purchased that day. So I finally found another semi-comparable fridge at the same price point, but it is not a brand that I wanted. Luckily I had bought the extended warranty so when I experience problems (which I anticipate with this brand), they will be covered. I would not use unless you are absolutely 100% sure of your purchase, because you won't be able to get a refund. We will be looking elsewhere for future purchases. read more

My husband and I have been here for appliances before and decided to come back to get a mattress. They told us it wasn't in stock and that it would be here the next day at 2. I waited for a call to tell us it was there and received no phone call. I called at 2:30 to see if they would be there and she said to come in at 3. We came in and she said they didn't have it yet and to come back in 30 minutes. We waited in the parking lot till 4 and went in to see what was going on with our order. She then looks up our item and turns out it was in the back the entire time. The staff doesn't check up on they're customers and have terrible customer service. I do not recommend going to this place if you are someone that likes to check up on your expensive purchases because they will not follow through. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Ordered a $2700+ dollar refrigerator 09/02/18, provided a delivery date of 09/18/18. DID not receive any calls to cancel delivery so I emptied my fridge & freezer and waited.. No delivery on the 18th. Called the store and they said, we have rescheduled the delivery for 09/24/2018. I received an email stating that the delivery would be 09/24/18. I emptied my refrigerator & freezer again (by the way, took off work both days because I was not given a timeframe for delivery). The email said that the drive would be calling me. No call. No call from the store, no call from the salesperson, no call at all. I called the store in Terre Haute, spoke to a lady who said that she would call me right back. No return call after a bit so I call the store again. She said "we have your delivery set for 10/02/18 now. I told her that the entire reason I purchased a fridge was because mine was faulty & not working right, that I had been given two dates and removed all items from my freezer, fridge, etc and not one time did anyone from the store have the common courtesy to let me know that they were not coming. In fact, just the opposite, they sent an email stating that they would be here. She said they let the salespersons take care of their own orders... well, I have not heard from Tom at all, not even once. So the manager picks up the phone and says that it is not his fault that the refrigerator is not in stock.... I was not ever informed that they were selling me a refrigerator that was not available. The company has had my money (nearly $3000) for nearly a month now and I still have no refrigerator. I am being charged for an extended warranty for nearly a month also and still do not have a refrigerator. I have missed two days of work, removed items from my unit (which, again, is not working properly) and waited. Not one time did anyone from this store call me at all, I have had to contact them every time and have yet to be able to speak to the salesperson that sold me the refrigerator. I called the 1-800 bite me number and all that is is a voicemail to leave a message. Not even a real person. So, now all of my food is in coolers all over the place and I am told that I now have a delivery date of a week from now, IF the refrigerator is even in stock. Very poor customer service, no consideration at all for the customer. Not one telephone call, only emails stating they would be here. This is a new business in Terre Haute. If this is how they are with customer service, they will not be around very long. And despite the fact that they have taken my money, that I work very hard for, I do not have the refrigerator that I purchased and not even a call from this place.
