That will only leave the pine Links course which is the worst of the 3. So now you play the pines links first (19-27) and finish on 10-18. Looks like they have given up maintaining the course. Tee boxes were bad, greens, traps all sucked. I should have known getting a great weekday afternoon rate of $57 with cart this course used to be 90+ but was worth it. Haven't been here in years and was shocked how they have let it go, including the clubhouse-restaurant building which looks worn and dilapidated. My parents used to live in the adjacent community so we used to go there all the time and it was nice. They have let it go to shit. I won't be back at any price.

Wow, what a place…read more I was a visitor so I did not get to see all the facilities but I imagine they are all amazing. Pool: they have a pool that goes up to 5 ft. deep which isn't very deep at all. But it's fine for people to just get float around and hangout. They also provide noodles so kids can adults can use for play and floating. There is absolutely no diving or jumping in the pools. They are pretty strict about the rules. Lots of chairs and tables with umbrellas around so you can just hangout and get some sun. Golf Course: Beautiful course as you can see from the picture. Lots of golf carts around for driving. I don't know the fee but it's pretty pricey but the range is great. Boche: Very nice boche course on site as well. With score boards and everything. Clubhouse: I heard inside the club house, there is pool and ping pong. You have to reserve some tables if you have a large group though. Some amenities are for residents only while others such as the pool, allow up to 4 visitors per residence. This place is a sight to see!

Next came a bread basket with the most exceptional bread. It was an Italian sesame loaf, but the interior was yellow, almost like an egg bagel and it was 100%. It was so good, that I asked for some extra to take home and made epic french otast with it the next day. It was THAT good! After that we both got french onion soup, which was also 1975 fantastic and just the way I like it, with tons of gruyere baked on top. For my main, I went with the Chicken Don Pepe- Which was a breaded chicken cutlet served with roasted tomatoes and red onions over basil risotto-truly fantastic and a VERY generous portion, enough to take home for lunch the next day. This little Donald Ross Design has a really nice practice facility including a full length range, short game area to practice your 120 yard wedge game and in and also a chipping green complete with bunkers. Upon walking through the clubhouse and out to the first tee you're greeted by a very helpful staff and a nicely stocked pro shop. The first tee really sets you up with what you'll see while out there for your round. A well maintained tee with tree lined and well defined fairways and the requirement tom move the ball off the tee one way or another. Slightly errant shots easily get you into tree trouble and very errant shots will find lots of trouble. One of the things I don't like here is the use of out of bounds within the property. I understand from a safety point of view why this is done but a hole like the par 5 12th having OB in the left trees (which plays adjacent to the 11th hole) and OB in the right trees makes this hole just dumb. It's already the narrowest driving hole on the course and that OB just makes it even more ridiculous. On top of this issue, getting home in 2 is not really an option because of a strategically placed tree that prevents a quality look into the green. Realistically you need to play this hole 200-225 off the tee, 190-210 for your second and 100 in to have any real chance to score. Leave the driver in the bag. The greens here at Wildwood are superb. Rolling fast and true they are a real treat to play and putt especially if you have any experience with Donald Ross greens, you'll really like them ALOT! Unfortunately for me my day did not include dining at the club so I can't speak for the food or service of the restaurant stuff but the outdoor patio overlooking the practice putting green in the short game area with a nice little view of the first tee does seem like a very nice place to get lunch after your round or come out for a relaxing bite to eat. Wildwood is a really nice golfing experience with fantastic greens and some quirky tee shots. A little course knowledge is a must to score and patience on the greens is a virtue, but that 12th hole is a drag and some of the hidden hazards that can gobble up a seemingly quality tee shot can upset an otherwise good day of golf and beware of the windy days!

It was extremely busy and crowded, which is to be expected during the summer. However, even with many groups it moved pretty quickly! All of the holes had cute obstacles and were fun to play. At the end they give everyone lollipops - which was a great addition! The atmosphere is one of the best in LBI in my opinion. They even gave an award for best dressed at the end of the round. Whenever we go mini golfing again, we will definitely come back here!

I was so surprised that the place was pretty busy on a Saturday at 930am. The demographic was quite diverse from families with kids to people with friends and to couples. Lots of people brought their own clubs too. (Don't worry, they provide clubs and label them with large beginner ones too). The bays were comfortable. They had heating when it was about 50 and drizzling outside and I felt comfortable and warm. The games were easy to set up. I feel like I didn't fully grasp how to play and was just swinging the ball out there for the fun of it (still somehow ranked 2nd place among my friends :P) Our attendant was super helpful and checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The menu wasn't as expensive as I had imagined which is a plus too. The food did take a little bit of time to come out. Wish they provided water for the bays and napkins. I appreciated my time and can see the appeal. I'm glad there's one opening closer to me so hopefully I can go again and get a better grasp on the game!

Review of Golf Course Only:…read more I was lucky enough to be invited as a guest to play this private club this past week 1 day after a week of torrential rains. Arrive to a very organized bag drop area for guests as most private clubs are mostly members playing. Very helpful in welcoming us, and on the carts and off to the range we go. Range mats only today with max distance 190 yards. Carts are dated no GPS. With young college kid fore caddie assigned. Of we go to an absolutely magnificent golf course from layout to conditions, to maintained bunkers etc. Really top shelf as a private club of this nature should be. Only knock which could be from the weather greens looked much faster than they were though if you get them rolling properly this course would be unreal. Pace of play was ok as busy for a Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately the 1st year fore caddie with absolutely no experience was pretty much a waste of time but being a guest I certainly can't say anything negative. In short Course itself really top shelf - didn't even visit the inside facilities so I can't comment, and being a guest I'm not going to be overly critical of staff etc as I certainly have no right to voice my opinion of a private equity club. Course a 9 out of 10 and some knock offs for the aforementioned above. 4.5* course wise! Hope for a return invite.
