I have played this course many times in the last decade or so. It is an excellent layout, but the conditions went downhill a bit after the new 9 was built. I played today for the first time in a year and the course was in the best shape I have ever seen. The only downside is that I feel the food could be better. Have to agree with previous poster. Use to be a nice course by the shore but it has fallen off dramatically. Fairway and greens were fine but everything outside of that is fraying. Clubhouse is old and unkempt, range is tired and overgrown, rough is just non-fairway overgrown and since they changed the hole order the numbering and signage is difficult to follow. Sad to see this decline so quickly. There have to be better spots around. read more

Place is going way downhill. 27 Holes is now down to 18. The Front 9 has been sold to a builder and I hear the second 9 of the original course isn't far behind. That will only leave the pine Links course which is the worst of the 3. So now you play the pines links first (19-27) and finish on 10-18. Looks like they have given up maintaining the course. Tee boxes were bad, greens, traps all sucked. I should have known getting a great weekday afternoon rate of $57 with cart this course used to be 90+ but was worth it. Haven't been here in years and was shocked how they have let it go, including the clubhouse-restaurant building which looks worn and dilapidated. My parents used to live in the adjacent community so we used to go there all the time and it was nice. They have let it go to shit. I won't be back at any price. read more

I have been playing this course religiously for the last 8 years. Was always ,by far, the nicest course. Always beautifully maintained. That was the case until my last round 2 weeks ago. I have never seen a place go that far down that quickly. Fairways all chunked up. Green going to shit. I will not be going back anytime soon unless I hear of a drastic turn around. Was here for a holiday party and I found nothing lacking the entire night. Parking was easy and after we found the entrance and entered, we put our coats in the coatroom. I believe there was supposed to be someone at the coatroom but I didn't see anyone the entire night. There were signs pointing to our area and we were greeted with hor d'ourves and were served quickly at the bar. Food came out quickly the entire night and there was more than enough. The dessert was a little subpar--the ice cream was a little icey and the lava cake a bit overdone. Other than that, it was a nice night! read more

An an update....still a wonderful course however my group of 4 were given the shaft yesterday (no pun intended) Started off behind the ladies club championship. My group was respectful especially after we were asked tonhang back while they teed off. As matternof fact we sat and let them get through the entire hole before we teed off to give them ample time. Half way through the round a player in my group crushed a ball that landed within 100 thats right 100 yards of the ladies. Apparently one of the ladies through a hissy fit....after our 9 we were told we would be playing the links for the back 9 Naturally we protested, we ended up behind to groups of 4 slow players, our 4 hour round turned into 5 plus. I made a point to speak to the manager after the round and told him what happened. I was basically told tough @#$% and a lackluster sorry. Mind you we paid $80 plus a person to play...would it have killed him to say, hey go to the bar have a drink on me? What cracks me up is #1 why play this ladies club championship on a Sunday? #2 why not get them out first thing if you have to play it on a Sunday? #3 why not push our start time back another 20 minutes to give them a solid lead time? I love the course but I believe they needs some help with the management team. read more

I had my wedding here last month and was impressed. First of all Sharon (manager) was phenomenal, she was very sweet, helpful, understanding and accommodating. She made me feel very confident and calm with all the decisions. The rest of the staff, including the maitre d were great and very helpful. And the food was delicious!!! Played night golf at Eagle Ridge and a complete disaster. They provide you one ball, send you out on the course and close the club! There is no point of contact and if your ball doesn't work you are just out of luck. How do you send all those people out on a course in the dark and have no management or point of contact. Played on a Saturday. Super crowded. It's a good Trac and challenging. The rough was rough; liked that. What I didn't like was the condition of the course. It seems like folks book in there, play, and are pretty hard on the course. Divots and ball marks were never fixed. Unnecessarily hard! Had one guy with a radio blaring music. Golfers were loud! Calling to each other and just yucking it up. Liked the layout, but didn't like the atmosphere. The staff though, were excellent. From the pro shop staff and the starter were excellent. Really tried to give us the skinny on the course. Very helpful and professional. For $90 though I don't think I'd go back. read more

Gorgeous clubhouse as you arrive to another South Jersey Semi Private club that saves you the 5 hour golf round at the local Ocean county courses. Finished in a brisk 4 hours and 5 minutes playing the Pines - Links (9's) as there are 27 holes here. I'm told that the optimum two 9's are the Pines, Lakes and will address conditions below. Putting area nice with quick bent grass greens, practice facility $5.00 small bucket $10.00 large bucket with mats and grass to hit from. Was yelled out for hitting off the grass even though I looked everywhere and could find no sign that indicated it was mats only last Friday. Links 9 was played first and layout was really nice open links style golf. Target style with large undulating greens which were quite fair but quick. downside was the fairways were barren and like concrete. Great if you put it in the fairway as it rolled forever but dissapointing for an expectation perspective. Pines 9 was a bit tighter and shorter but much better condition. with more speedy fair greens but plush fairways to hit from. A real nice 9 holes that I'm sure would be excellent compared with the other 9 if this was as plush. $100.00 pretty steep for a round of golf but it keeps out the casual hacker and allows you to speed through your 18 without any trouble and enjoy the rest of your day. for the greens fee price a small bucket of balls would be a show of good faith. Knocks off for poor fairway conditions on the Links 9, but would definitely do this track again if I can secure the proper two 9 hole hook ups. read more

Eagle Ridge, in my opinion, has it all in terms of offering a complete golfing experience to the day tripping customer in the New Jersey area. The layout is fun and challenging and the course was in pristine condition when I played in May of this year. There's plenty of staff and signage to help you get to where you need to be, a nice practice range (with mats), great little halfway house serving anything from coffee to delicious hot dogs to great looking bloody marys if that's your thing. At the end of your round there's a full service restaurant to use as well, serving up some pretty good food and drink Highly recommend. read more

My husband and I had our wedding here (and some dinners and brunches thereafter). What can I say? Eagle Ridge is AMAZING!!! The reception area is just beautiful. Magnificent fireplace in both the cocktail area and the reception. The decor is elegant, wooden dance floor, well appointed bathrooms, exceptionally helpful staff and just the perfect wedding venue. The menu and the food was plentiful and we received rave reviews from all of our guests. We highly recommend coming here for a romantic dinner or brunch, both of which we have had since our wedding. Recently attended an event at this location and would rate this venue a zero if possible. The food was cold and tasteless. I've had better salads out of a bag from the grocery store. The entree was barely edible, the filet was so over cooked that it looked like pork!!! Didn't even resemble beef. As far as the desert tray... I've been to several events at Eagle Ridge and everything was 100 percent spot on. Recently I was at a banquet there and had a very bad experience. The food at the buffet was cold. The chicken fingers was being guarded by a lady who wouldn't serve chicken fingers and fries to anyone 10 and over, not even teenagers. Adults were trying to get chicken and fries in hopes of getting a hot meal but were turned away. The service was not only poor but it was nonexistent. I as well as people from other tables had to get up and fill our own water pitcher for the table. Also, Plates lingered on the tables for quite sometime resulting in some people clearing their own plates. Banquet hall was so freezing cold guest were standing outside to get warm. We wanted to change things up a bit for Easter and made reservations this Sunday we were so glad we did. This was well worth the drive, the staff was welcoming and helpful, we were seated and treated to a great buffet brunch, freshly made food, not prepared and reheated, delicious pasta, filet, eggs benedict, salad, shrimp, mimosas and much more. Went to a party they served cold bagel bites as a chef selection for appetizer. The dance floor is warped from water damage. Renee the bartender is awful, she is lazy, rude, and probably one of the most miserable people I have ever encountered. We played as a threesome the day after the Fourth of July . The pace was slow but expected for a holiday week. The fairways and greens are in great shape but the holes are long and some greens are tricky. Many holes are cart path access and make for a lot of walking. There are a lot of tee boxes on hills so a lot of downhill drives which I like. This is a pretty course with great views. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for the price. We will make this a regular for our play. read more
