Kevin is so easy to work with - pleasant, knowledgeable, hands on, happy to explain as much as you want to know, and confident about his recommendations. He sees a wide range of people from young kids to older adults, and he seems to have a good time interacting with all of them (ie, he has a great bedside manner). It is also very easy to schedule or change appointments. You simply call and get a live, helpful person who quickly finds you an appointment (shocking!). The whole experience was excellent, and I have since referred two friends to Kevin who have also become fans. This was my first experience with PT, but my friends have seen several therapists over the years and think Kevin is the best of them.

I have never experienced physical therapy in the top notch methodology that Kevin uses. He was very thorough in making sure his course of therapy fits with what was shown in my medical report and my MRI. I will say that if you sign on with Kevin that you should be prepared to work. I went into ATI Acton about 2 weeks before my surgery to see if they accepted my insurance(MassHealth). They said that they did and they quickly scheduled my first appointment for today, 12/28/22(a week after my surgery). I get a voicemail message THIS morning saying that they are out of network and do not take my insurance. Really???? On the day of my scheduled appointment I get this message. You had almost a month to let me know. Somehow I don't think people with other insurances have to deal with this lack of respect.

It was a very difficult recovery and Melissa was so helpful getting me back to my normal activities that I sought her out again when I had a right shoulder rotator cuff tear and subsequent surgery in July 2017. PT Associates is out of network for me, but I knew that with the difficult road ahead (this was an unfortunate injury), I had to have Melissa as my physical therapist again. She is experienced, patient, perceptive, thoughtful and has a soothing calmness that made me comfortable. I had some problems, including frozen shoulder, so my recovery was long and painful. Melissa was always encouraging, but balanced in what my expectations should be and she was firm when she needed me to curb my activities. I am also impressed by her knowledge and ability to find innovative ways to help me move forward when I hit plateaus. I had my last appointment with Melissa today and am so grateful for her dedication to her patients. In closing, I would also like to mention that the entire staff at PT Associates was great. Chris was enormously helpful in so many ways. The office is quiet, clean, and welcoming.

She was instrumental in decreasing my pain and swelling, advising me on next steps, and finding the right surgeon to reattach my hamstrings. After surgery I continued with PTAoC and worked with Melissa for nearly a year. Her positivity and good judgment saw me through small gains like fully straightening my leg and sitting upright to bigger ones like walking, stair climbing, and ultimately, exercise again. Her sense of humor and ability to connect could distract me from discomfort or focus me on exercise when each were needed. When my patience wore thin and I thought I would never be well again, Melissa reminded me with a calm and quiet confidence not to rush my healing or compare myself to others, but to do my best achieving my own goals. She never offered false hope about a quick recovery, but pointed out, time and again, how it was making me a better trainer. A year out from surgery I can say that it has, and every day I find opportunities to pay forward to my own clients the good lessons I learned in her care.

Also no receptionist for you to call in case you were running late. The call center always has a long wait, at least 30-45 mins, so no point waiting or leaving VM if you want to tell your PT you are running late or if you have an urgent question/concern. Otherwise the experience with the PT was top notch. They have been thorough, knowledgeable and always enthusiastic to help me. The center is pretty big with pools, gym, various therapies. Lots of parking and also a nice area to sit outside while you wait, when the weather is good.

went to post-op hand therapy because they were the only ones my insurance would cover. after 5…read morevisits, the therapist stretched my wrist so far back it was sprained, swollen and extremely painful. I called them every day for a week to complain and ask what to do, but they never returned my phone call until 10 days later, when I had finally seen the surgeon again and he said not to go back to that hand therapist. my experience was the lowest of low, both the therapeutic and the lack of response from my phone calls. The practice does not answer the phone, and apparently they don't not listen to their messages either. I have complained and written letters to the billing office, and they insist on billing me for the visit where I was injured!
