My therapist initially was pleasant and respectful but then by about the 8th visit dumped me onto an aide. I was given written instructions only on initial evaluation and when I asked my therapist for written instructions as she added new excercizes about 3 weeks in, she said she would but never did. I was doing my home excercizes by memory and forgot some.I was ordered by my MD for 18 sessions and I felt I was doing well and started to feel better . However, on my 12th visit, 7 weeks in, my therapist abruptly became cold and stated that I was not progressing. I will add that I was experiencing bronchitis & an asthma flare for over a month and I have a history of chronic pain and I still soldiered on and went to therapy. Also, my diabetes had suddenly gotten worse after being treated with prednisone & I felt sore, exhausted and sleepless. I was made to feel like a burden and a bother. I feel hurt, humiliated and insulted. The therapist basically gave up on me. I was doing my best under difficult circumstances. Also, I was still working at my job the entire time. I have great insurance too so I can only assume the therapist just got tired of helping me.

Recently my knees started aching which ruined m walking as my main exercise & Chinmayee worked me into a set of exercises to strengthen me aging legs and though it took 2 months I'm now feeling the full effects - starting to feel better than ever and enjoying walking and other activities again. Lots of conversation, electrical stimulation that accomplished virtually nothing, very little hands on manipulation after the first couple of visits, stretches assigned to be performed at home (none during office visits) and invariably less than 60 minutes per session did nothing to increase range or motion or diminish pain. My last visit consisted of a 20 minute discourse on how she could do nothing more for me and when I suggested that I didn't think a co-pay was justified for what could have been accomplished over the phone, I thought it adacious of her to say that I was being disrespectful.
