I had a blood draw this morning at the Long Pond location by Latisha. I will never go back…read more Latisha was awful, unprofessional and perhaps under the influence of something. She kept repeating how tired she was. She asked me for my DOB 3 times, asked how to spell my simple last name 3 times, read my address in the computer wrong and said she couldn't find the doctor's order. I had to remind her the paper I just handed her was in front of her. She poked me three times, I am bruised and sore. Previous phlebotomists never had an issue finding a good vein. Worse, other patients blood samples were lying on the counter. She didn't apply the appropriate labels on my tubes, she stuck a hand written label on my blood samples and said she would do it later. She wasn't wearing a name tag. When I went to do my urinalysis I asked another employee what her name was. She told me to place my cup of urine on her desk, rather than leave it in the bathroom. I will ask my doctor for a repeat as I have no idea if the results are accurate. If you were there today and had Latisha, I would highly recommend you ask for a repeat because the results could be inaccurate.

However, the lady taking insurance and photo ids at check in, was rude, and talking inappropriately about one of the other customers that didn't speak English. There is a big glass wall they were sitting behind and one of the girls even pointed. I was embarrassed for the poor woman who didn't understand. Customer service is seriously lacking here.

I am a retired RRH nurse. Today I went to the lab on Ridgeway to have my blood drawn…read more The waiting room was packed and there was standing room only I arrived at 8am, people were complaining that they had been there since 7 am and were still waiting when I arrived at 8 am. They said they did not see a phlebotomist and no one was called back to have their blood drawn. They also complained that there was no notification of a delay. I sat there till 8:30 and decided to leave because I had a doctor's appointment, other people were leaving also and they were not happy. I don't understand why someone did not explain or notify us of a delay. As a medical professional I find this unacceptable. I will find another lab to have my blood work done.

The lady came in and she asked me for my date of birth to confirm. We got straight to business. She looked at my arm, and she saw a vein, so they put the needle in, and it filled up only one tube, so we tried another vein. We ended up getting two more from a different vein and we put gaws on it. I left in 30 of being there. The lady made my day. I would totally come again.

I've had back problems for the last year and a half. I had to go to a few doctors appointments, therapist, etc. And to hopefully bring some closure to my problem I was sent to Rochester Regional Health to see Dr. Peter Capicotto. He examined me and ordered an MRI. After the MRI he had me in his office for a post discussion and made some suggestions to me. He showed me the pictures of my back, pointed the areas of concern out and various ways I could deal with it. I was impressed with his professionalism. A man true to his profession. His personal staff is also very polite and helpful. Dr. Capicotto also trains new medical students, interns. The office staff is very polite and courteous also. When it comes to back injuries I highly recommend him.

At this point my beef is with Rochester regional and I believe this corporate organization will be destroying many medical practices in NYS. Communication in all aspects seems to be the most negative and it's getting into all aspects of this practice from trying to get in in a phone contact to what appears to be the proverbial minutes per patient and im not sure right now who dictates that part. It always used to be the insurance company but now it may be that and RRA. I love the doctors but something isn't right or as good as it used to be so I will be seeking second and third opinions and not just here but all of my medical care has just about hit rock bottom and it will take years off of my life.. I haven't had a good primary care experience in a couple of years and am hoping to become a patient at the VA but of course that's another time consuming issue and time is what I'm now running out-of...along with quality of life.. sorry folks but you're dropping the ball.. you tell me where the fault lies.. now let's talk about billing.. a serious joke and a financial abomination. I used to volunteer in the hip and knee joint replacement at unity for around 5 years about 10 years ago so I've seen this process from 2 sides.

Other patients who were not of color were getting called back left and right before me. I even heard one of the patients say "dang we got out of here before we were even supposed to check in". The only reason I did not complain in person was because I was afraid they would treat my visit carelessly and not give me proper care.
