I took it to the geek squad, they shipped it to their repair facility and 6 weeks later it was returned unrepaired because they could not get the part from their supplier. I saw the great reviews John got from his customers, called him, dropped off the laptop and he repaired it in a little over a week. His price was $100 less than the quote I had gotten from Geek Squad. I know who I'm calling from now on when I have a computer or internet system issue. Once I was able to determine the cause wasn't COVID but maybe some other virus I transported the carcass into Shasta Computer Repair but with little hope for resurrection. Daniel was able to diagnose the issue(s), apply life support and a transfusion and my computer was able to come home after only a weekend in hospice. It's as good as new and we are looking forward to many more years together. The receptionists were great and Daniel worked a miracle.
